  • Mongolia is an inland country contained between East and Central Asia. I t borders Russia to the north and China to the south, east and west. Mongolia uses as international port for transit Xindang/Qingdao by railway. For domestic transport, our options are varied, which include road, railway and air modes. Prospects of the TKR-TSR Market

  • Nowadays, road transportation which has played a key role in the market of both passenger and freight transportation is facing with a serious problem, the traffic congestion causing a delay of transportation. Therefore, railroad transportation is considered as an attractive alternative mode of inland transportation due to its inherent merits in mass transportation such as relatively low cost compared with road transportations, less air pollution and noise than other mode ets. In this paper, therefore, we examine the current situation of railroad transportation markets including TKR(Trans- Korean Railway}, TSR(Trans-Siberian Railway} and prospects for the connection of TKR-TSR. And then we examine the structure of the container transportation market by railroad in Korea with a brief analysis of the traffic volume of TKR-TSR.

  • The mission tasks of polar exploration utilizing unmanned systems such as glacier monitoring, ecosystem research, and inland exploration have been expanded. To facilitate unmanned exploration mission tasks, precise and robust navigation systems are required. However, limitations on the utilization of satellite navigation system are present due to satellite orbital characteristics at the polar region located in a high latitude. The orbital inclination of global positioning system (GPS), which was developed to be utilized in mid-latitude sites, was designed at $55^{\circ}$. This means that as the user is located in higher latitudes, the satellite visibility and vertical precision become worse. In addition, the use of satellite-based wide-area augmentation system (SBAS) is also limited in higher latitude regions than the maximum latitude of signal reception by stationary satellites, which is $70^{\circ}$. This study proposes a local-area augmentation system that additionally utilizes Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) considering satellite navigation system environment in Polar Regions. The orbital inclination of GLONASS is $64.8^{\circ}$, which is suitable in order to ensure satellite visibility in high-latitude regions. In contrast, GLONASS has different system operation elements such as configuration elements of navigation message and update cycle and has a statistically different signal error level around 4 m, which is larger than that of GPS. Thus, such system characteristics must be taken into consideration to ensure data integrity and monitor GLONASS signal fault. This study took GLONASS system characteristics and performance into consideration to improve previously developed fault detection algorithm in the local-area augmentation system based on GPS. In addition, real GNSS observation data were acquired from the receivers installed at the Antarctic King Sejong Station to analyze positioning accuracy and calculate test statistics of the fault monitors. Finally, this study analyzed the satellite visibility of GPS/GLONASS-based local-area augmentation system in Polar Regions and conducted performance evaluations through simulations.

우리나라의 냉방도일과 냉방일수에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cooling Degree Days and the Number of Cooling Days in Korea)

  • The cooling degree days and the number of cooling days are used as important research materials not only in the field of design for building and cooling facilities but also in the government's establishment of energy policy. The purposes of this dissertation are to clarify the distribution of the cooling degree days and the number of cooling days by using the daily mean air temperature of 95 weather stations in Korea, and to show the distribution charts of the same cooling degree days and the same number of cooling days in order to help the practical uses of the materials. In cases of the base temperatures $24^{circ}C$, $25^{circ}C$, $26^{circ}C$, and $27^{circ}C$, the cooling degree days and the number of cooling days are shown in Table 5. The distribution charts of the same cooling degree days and the same number of cooling days are shown in Fig. 6 to Fig. 8 and Fig.9 to Fig. 11 respectively. As a result of this dissertation, Jeju Island and southern inland regions(especially Jeonju, Daegu, Gwangju) have a larger value than central regions and northern regions because of the influences of the terrain effect, and western coast regions have usually a larger value than eastern coast regions at the same latitude. The largest value appears in August of the year and the second in July, and the smallest in September. And southern inland area surrounded by Imshil, Goechang, and Boeun has a much smaller value than the other areas of its vicinity.

  • 국제적으로 컨테이너를 이용한 운송이 증가함으로서 국내에서도 컨테이너화물이 자연스럽게 증가하고있다. 국내의 화물 운송로에는 공로운송, 철도운송, 항공운송로 등의 다양한 운송로가 있다. 하지만 가장 큰 비율을 차지하고 있는 운송은 공로운송이며 가장 비효율적으로 운송되어지는 수단이기도 하다. 이러한 공로운송의 비효율적인 운영에 영향을 미치는 사항들을 살펴본다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위한 방법을 나열하는 것과 동시에 복화운송에 집중하여 설명하고자 한다. 그리고 컨테이너 복화운송을 실행하기 위해 필요한 운송절차 및 검사소 업무에 집중하여 살펴본다. 컨테이너 복화운송의 효율적인 실행을 위한 관리방안을 제시한다. 마지막으로 복화운송 실행의 효과를 실제 자료 분석을 통해 정량적으로 알아본다.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 우리 항만이 동북아 거점항만으로 변신하는데 필요한 항만공급사슬전략을 도출하여 거점항만으로의 발전전략의 적합성을 분석하였다. 경쟁항만의 발전 잠재력을 충분히 고려하고 우리 항만의 시설${\cdot}$서비스수준의 미흡성을 하루속히 보완하는 유연한 항만 공급능력의 확보, 항만리드타임(접안시간, 양하역시간 등)의 최소화와 뭍류서비스를 극대화${\cdot}$다양화할 수 있는 모듈방식의 항만운영의 다양화가 필요함을 검증하였다. 특히, 거점항만 개발전략에서 다양한 부가서비스의 제공과 실질적인 부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 방향으로 항만배후부지 개발이 매우 중요한 것으로 나타나고 있다.

靑少年의 海洋에 관한 關心度의 分析的 硏究 (A Study on Analyzing the Interest of the Youth to the Sea)

  • How does the youth feel the sea affairs\ulcorner Concerning this question, this paper aims to measure the images of the youth toward the sea affairs - the sea, the ship and the seafarer and to examined the above subject. As sample 3, 250 students of middle and high school were selected by considering geographical environment. The data obtained using Semantic Differential Method were analyzed by principal component analysis, and the obtained factor scores were examined the significance of difference between sex, age and geographical environment. By introducing the principal component analysis, the authors extracted from each of the images, that is, factors of dynamics and affection to the image on these a and the former the factors and pleasure on the ship, and also the former two factors and factor of professional evaluation on the seafarer, The following results are obtained. 1) In the image of the sea, dynamic image of the student in high school were higher than the of the student in middle school in spite of geographic environment and affective image were opposite. 2) In the images of the ship, affective image of the student in middle school and high school in inland were high than the of the male and female student in near the sea. And also, male female students in middle school and male student s in high school of inland showed the highest score to the pleasure image. 3) In the image of the seafare, professional evaluation of the female student in middle school were higher than the others, but the students in high school showed the highest score to dynamic image. Especially, in the case of the majority of students in high school living in the city or town near the, their images of the seafarer were not so good in spite of their explorative experiences about the sea affairs.

내수해역에서의 선박통항과 관련한 쯔나미 재난 경감을 위한 기초연구 (Basic Study on Tsunami Disaster Mitigation for Ship Navigation in Inland Sea)

  • 최근 해저지진의 활동에 따른 극한 쯔나미 파랑이 해안도시와 항만에 어마어마한 손상을 가져오고 있다. 전세계에 걸쳐 특정해역에서는 강한 정진형태의 부진동과 처오름이 관측되고 있다. 한반도에서는 그렇게 빈번한 발생을 나타내고 있지는 않으나, 과거기록을 보면 동해에서 몇 개의 중요한 발생사례도 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 특히 만이나 내수해역에서 최근 해저지진의 발생 추이를 분석하고 이에 따른 쯔나미 발생 메카니즘을 해석하여 새롭게 내수역에서의 수치모델에의 적용을 통해 공진을 통한 쯔나미 파랑의 변환을 다루어 통항선박에 대한 안정성 확보에 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 내수역에서의 쯔나미 파랑에 대한 반응을 정합성 및 웨이블릿 해석으로 탁월 주기와 지속시간에 대한 분석으로 파악하였으며, 쯔나미파의 입사와 독립적인 공진모드의 도출은 쯔나미 재해의 경감을 위한 시설물 및 재난지역을 식별하는데 도움을 주고, 나아가서는 장래 재난에 대한 적절한 대비에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

항내 예선의 적정규모 결정에 관하여 (On Determining the Optimal Amount of Barbour Tagboat)

  • As port transport system consists of subsystems such as navigation system, cargo handling system, storage system, inland transport system, and Management and Information system, the productivity of this system is determined by the minimum level of subsystem. From the viewpoint of elaborating the efficiency of integrated system, it is valuable to determine the optimal level of harbour tug boat which is the most important factor of navigation system. This paper treats the optimal amount of harbour tug boat by simulation, and applied to Pusan port. In the course of simulation, an emperical formula is introduced for determining the Horse Power (HP) of tug boat by the ship's gross tonnage (G/T) refering to the cases of various ports of other countries, that is ; $Y=9.96X^{0.6}+569$. X : The gross tonnage of vessel (G/T). Y : The Horse Power (HP) of tug boat. The results of the simulation are summarized as follows ; 1) In 1987, three or four low-powered harbour tug boats, five mid-powered harbour tug boats and four high-powered harbour tug boats are necessary in the mean level. But, five or seven low-powered harbour tug boats, ten mid-powered harbour tug boats and eight high-powered harbour tug boats are necessary lest delay should occur at all. 2) In 1992, 1lee or four low-powered harbour tug boats, six mid-powered harbour tug boats and seven high-powered harbour tug boats are estimated and be necessary in the mean level.
