동자개 치어의 암모니아 급성 독성 (Acute Toxicity of Ammonia on Juvenile banded Catfish(Pseudobagurus fulvidraco))

  • Juvenile banded catfish(Pseudobagurus fulvidraco, mean length $10.7{\pm}0.42cm$ and mean weight $15.0{\pm}0.23g$) were exposed to varies TAN(total ammonia) concentrations at pH levels of $6.12{\pm}0.51$, $7.00{\pm}0.26$ and $8.04{\pm}0.07$ for 96hrs to check the level of acute toxicity on biofloc technology aquaculture system(BFT). The result showed that cumulative mortalities for juvenile banded catfish at TAN levels 48.95, 55.96, 66.47, and 78.88 mg/L at pH $6.12{\pm}0.51$ were 0, 30, 30, and 50%, respectively. At pH $7.00{\pm}0.26$, its mortalities to TAN 5.20, 11.68, 15.31, and 18.31 mg/L were 0, 10, 20, and 70%, respectively and at pH $8.04{\pm}0.07$, the mortalities to TAN 0.96, 1.49, 2.13, and 3.62 mg/L were 10, 20, 40, and 100%, respectively. Its $96h-LC_{50}$ (median lethal concentration, $LC_{50}$) at pH $6.12{\pm}0.51$, $7.00{\pm}0.26$, and $8.04{\pm}0.07$ were 78.12, 15.87, and 2.21 mg/L for TAN, and 0.05, 0.10, and 0.14 mg/L for $NH_3$, respectively, and the acute toxicity for ammonia to juvenile banded catfish increased exponentially with increase of pH.

Tropical Night (Nocturnal Thermal High) in the Mountainous Coastal City

  • The investigation of driving mechanism for the formation of tropical night in the coastal region, defined as persistent high air temperature over than 25$^{\circ}C$ at night was carried out from August 14 through 15, 1995. Convective boundary layer (CBL) of a 1 km depth with big turbulent vertical diffusion coefficients is developed over the ground surface of the inland basin in the west of the mountain and near the top of the mountain, while a depth of thermal internal boundary layer (TIBL) like CBL shrunken by relatively cool sea breeze starting at 100 km off the eastern sea is less than 150 m from the coast along the eastern slope of the mountain. The TIBL extends up to the height of 1500 m parallel to upslope wind combined with valley wind and easterly sea breeze from the sea. As sensible heat flux convergences between the surface and lower atmosphere both at the top of mountain and the inland coast are much greater than on the coastal sea, sensible heat flux should be accumulated inside both the TIBL and the CBL near the mountain top and then, accumulated sensible heat flux under the influence of sea breeze circulation combined with easterly sea breeze from sea to inland and uplifted valley wind from inland to the mountain top returning down toward the eastern coastal sea surface should be transported into the coast, resulting in high air temperatures near the coastal inland. Under nighttime cooling of ground surface after sunset, mountain wind causes the daytime existed westerly wind to be an intensified westerly downslope wind and land breeze further induces it to be strong offshore wind. No sensible heat flux divergence or very small flux divergence occurs in the coast, but the flux divergences are much greater on the top of the mountain and along its eastern slope than on the coastal inland and sea surfaces. Thus, less cooling down of the coastal surface than the mountain surface and sensible heat transfer from warm pool over the coast into the coastal surface produce nocturnal high air temperature on the coastal inland surfaces, which is not much changed from daytime ones, resulting in the persistence of tropical night (nocturnal thermal high) until the early in the morning.

  • 무지개송어 품종개량의 일환으로 국내에 이식 양식되고 있는 미국산 무지개송어 발안난의 부화와 자치어 성장에서 얻어진 초기사육에 관한 기초적 시험을 실시하고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 무지개송어 발안란의 난경은 $4.95{\pm}0.34\;mm$, 중량은 $0.07{\pm}0.003\;g$였다. 발안란은 8일째인 11월 25일에 전량 부화되었으며, 부화율은 평균 87.8%였다. 무지개송어 치어를 56일간 사육한 결과 전장 $4.0{\pm}0.7\;cm$로 매우 완만한 성장을 보였으며, 전장의 사육 경과일수에 따른 성장식은 TL=0.0366ED+1.8645 ($r^2=0.9285$, n=350)로 표시되었다. 부화된 치어의 평균 체중은 0.09 g였으며, 사육 $14{\sim}20$일째 $0.11{\sim}0.14\;g$로 서서히 증가되어 사육 41일째 0.33 g, 사육 48일째 0.45 g, 56일째 0.62 g로 급증되었으며, 체중의 사육 경과 일수에 따른 성장식은 $BW=0.0638e^{0.0408ED}\;(r^2=0.9917,\;n=350)$로 표시되었다. 치어의 56일간 사육 시 생존율은 $64.5{\pm}1.3%$였다.

Changes of anthocyanidin, growth characteristics and brown rice yield of red colored rices at two region of eastern coast in Gyeongbuk province

  • The tallest culm length was observed in Geonganghongmi cultivar grown in coast area, and culm length was always taller in coast area than that of inland area among these three red rice cultivars. However, number of tiller per rice plant was not affected by different cultural area. Number of spikelets per panicle was much more increased in inland area. Regional difference in number of spikelets per panicle was only observed in Jeongjinju cultivar. Among these red rice cultivars, the highest brown rice yield was Jeongjinju rice cultivar having 702kg in inland area and 692kg in coast area, respectively. The $L^*$ values, which expresses the brightness, were in the range of 36.3 ~ 36.7, 36.7 ~ 37.0, and 38.7 ~ 39.6 in Jeogjinju, Hongjinju, Geonganghongmi rice cultivars, respectively. The $a^*$ values, which expresses the redness positively and greenness negatively were in the range of 12.3 ~ 12.8, 12.2 ~ 12.3, and 12.1 ~ 11.9 in Jeogjinju, Hongjinju, Geonganghongmi rice cultivars, respectively. In addition, the b values, which expresses the yellowness positively and blueness negatively were in the range of 13.8 ~ 14.0, 13.6 ~ 13.5, and 14.9 ~ 14.7 in Jeogjinju, Hongjinju, Geonganghongmi rice cultivars, respectively. Anthocyanidin content ranged 524 to $610{\mu}g/g$ dry weight basis. Cyanidin content was 11.4 to 14.0 times higher than that of delphinidin under coast and inland area. Among these rice cultivars, anthocyanidin content was always higher in rice cultivar grown at coast area. Highest head brown rice rate was only observed in Geonganghongmi to 95.2 at coast area and 95.4 inland area, respectively. Protein content was always higher in coast area than that of inland area. The lowest protein content was measured in Jeogjinju and amylose content was relatively increased in inland area compared to that of coast area. Consequently, in considered with brown rice yield and pigment content, Hongjinju rice cultivar was recommended in optimal pigment rice cultivar in eastern coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.

내수면 선박의 안전운항을 위한 스마트폰기반 어플리케이션 개발 (Development of Smart Phone Application for the Safe Operation of Inland Vessels)

  • 최근 주 5일제 근무로 인한 여가시간 증가와 국민 소득수준의 향상으로 내수면에서의 레저 활동 및 관광인구가 증가함에 따라 내수면을 운항하는 선박과 레저장비는 지속적으로 증가할 전망이다. 이로 인해 내수면에서의 선박사고와 인명 사고 발생 가능성도 크게 높아지고 있다. 내수면에서 발생하는 선박의 안전사고를 미연에 방지하기 위해서는 선박의 항해정보와 위험상황 경고 및 긴급구조 지원시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 내수면에서 운항하는 선박 및 승객의 안전 확보를 위하여 현재 보급률이 우수한 스마트폰 기반의 운행도우미 어플리케이션을 개발하였다. 운행도우미 어플리케이션은 화면상에 내수면 전자해도와 자선 정보를 표시하고, 선박 사고 시 관제센터 및 주변 선박과 긴급구조 메시지를 송수신할 수 있는 기능을 지원한다. 이러한 운행도우미 어플리케이션을 구현하기 위해서는 내수면 전자해도의 구축이 필수적이다. 따라서 선박통행량과 거주인구가 가장 많은 한강(영등포, 광진구)일대를 대상으로 멀티빔 수심측량을 통해 수치지형도를 작성하고, 이를 기반으로 전자해도를 제작하였다.

  • 납자루아과 담수어류인 각시붕어 Rhodeus uyekii와 묵납자루 Acheilognathus signifer의 속간 잡종으로 의심되는 개체를 북한강 지류인 조종천에서 채집하였다. 외부 형태 형질, 체색 반문, 혼인색 등을 비교한 결과 체색, 등지느러미, 뒷지느러미, 꼬리지느러미의 반문과 색깔, 체표의 반점과 종대 등이 두 종간의 중간형질을 보여 주고 있었다. 본 개체가 두 속간의 분류 형질인 수염은 없고 유공 측선 비늘수가 많은 점 등은 두 종간 자연 잡종으로 사료되었다. 두 종간 인공 교잡종의 생산은 자연 잡종의 출현 가능성을 시사하였다.

청평호의 어류군집 (The Ichthyofauna in Lake Cheongpyeong Korea)

  • 2003년 4월에서 2004년 11월까지 청평호에서 시기별로 9회에 걸쳐 어류상을 조사한 결과 채집된 어류는 모두 9과 31종으로 분류되었다. Cyprinidae 어류가 21종 (67.7%)으로 상대 비율이 높았고 H. labeo (29.9%)가 조사수역 내의 우점종이었으며, A. gracilis (22.8%)가 아우점종, 다음으로는 E. erythropterus (14.6%), C. auratus (6.3%) 순으로 우세하였다. 한반도 고유종의 구성비는 29.0%로 A. yamatsutae 등 3과 9종이 서식하였다. 외래도입 육식어종인 M. salmoides는 총 개체수의 1.7%가 출현하여 장차 개체군의 증감 여부가 주목된다. H. labeo 와 E. erythropterus는 청평호에서 생체량이 가장 많은 어종으로 1년생 보다는 2~4년생이 주로 서식하였으며 개체군의 변동추세를 주시할 필요가 있다.

체감도에 의한 우리나라의 기후구분에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Climatic Classification of Korea by the Sensible Degree)

  • The purposes of this study are to make an analysis the sensible degree in Korea by using the formulas prepared by Watanabe, and to divide the climatic classification by the sensible degree in order to apply in practical life. Most data(air temperature, relative humidity, wind velocity, atmospheric pressure) are extracted from the "Climatic Table of Korea, Volume II(1961~1990)" issued by the Korea Meteorological Administration. As a result of this study, distribution patterns of the sensible degree are similar to isotherms when the wind velocity is zero, and then the sensible degrees are reduced with the increase of latitude. And western coastal and inland regions have larger values than eastern coastal regions in summer. However, the cont-rary distributions are shown in winter. When the wind velocity is not zero, distribution patterns of the sensible degree are influenced by the wind velocity. In summer, the values of central and southern inland regions are especially higher than the coastal regions, and most northern districts and some inland regions (Kangnung, Ulchin, Yongju etc.) have low values in winter. Then, the climate of Korea is divided into four patterns as follows : Yow means the sensible degree when the wind velocity is zero in winter. Yow > 3 : Jeju Island and southern coastal regions Yow = 0~3 : Most southern district and eastern coastal regions of central districts Yow = -3~0 : Most central districts and some eastern coastal regions (Hamheung, Youngheung, Won-san etc.) of northern districts Yow < -3 : Most northern districts and some inland regions(Inje, Hongcheon, Yang-pyeong etc.) of cent-ral districts.districts.

Characterization of Sea Salt in PM10 at Inland and Seashore in Busan, Korea

  • In an effort to characterize temporal and spatial variability of $PM_{10}$ and to quantitatively estimate contribution of sea salt aerosol to $PM_{10}$ mass in Busan area, twenty four-hour averaged concentration of $PM_{10}$ were measured in two distinct areas, Gwaebeopdong(inland) and Dongsamdong(seashore), Busan for summer and fall, 2007. It was found that sea salt accounted for 2.9% and 9.5% of $PM_{10}$ mass in Gwaebeopdong and Dongsamdong, respectively for the study period, indicating that contribution of sea salt to $PM_{10}$ mass and total ion concentration in seashore area were consistently higher by a factor of three compared to inland area. Temporal analysis suggested that sea salt contributions to $PM_{10}$ in Dongsamdong were higher in summer due to the southerly sea breeze while there was no significant fluctuation of sea salt contribution for the summer and fall months in Gwaebeopdong. Sea salt enrichment factors($EF_{sea}$) of $K^+$ $Ca^{2+}$ and ${SO_4}^{2-}$ (>10) indicated major contributions from anthropogenic sources and EFs of $Mg^{2+}$ and $Cl^-$ exhibited strong association with oceanic origins for both areas.
