산업안전보건관리비가 건설재해예방에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Occupational Safety and health Expenses on Safety Accident Prevention in Construction)

  • The occupational safety and health expenses in construction since 1988 has contributed significantly to the reduction of injury occurrence rate. But accounted basis and criteria used of the occupational safety and health expenses have been pointed out so many issues. The purpose of this study, perform analysis of the effectiveness of the occupational safety and health expenses through the reviewing of several issues about the current system and analysis of existing statistical data. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that the contribution survey of the occupational safety and health expenses on the safety accident prevention program qualitatively evaluated as an average of 4.39(standard deviatin 0.652) on the five point scale based was very positive.

  • The statistics of work related Low Back Pains(LBPs) in Korea and outside the countires have erviewed. Despite improved working enviroment with increased automation in industry, the LBPs hve been gradually increased and the workers compensation of such injuries has increased drama- tically. An epidemiological study indicated tha tthe LBPs is te major cause of injury, lost time and medical costs in many industrial workplace especially, a high occurrence rate of LBPs among construction and manufacturing workers. The objective of this study is to investigate problems involved with LBPs in Korea and outside the country for identifying its possible causal factors and characteristics. This study will thus contribute as a basic reference to the industries and ergonomic practitioners for preventing and managing LBPs.

  • Several types of burrs form on the edges of all machined and stamped parts. These burrs must be removed to prevent interference fits or short circuits, to improve fatigue life or to prevent injury. Despite the full or partial automation of FMC or FMS, deburring operations to obtain workpiece with fine surface quality are difficult to be automated since the occurrence and condition of burr are not constant. This study focused on developing micro-deburring technique for small electro- parts produced by press process. The successful performance was demonstrated by deburring experiment using the powder blasting.

  • The occupational safety and health expenses in construction since 1988 has contributed significantly to the reduction of injury occurrence rate. But the appropriation standards for the Occupational Safety and Health Expenses in Construction(OSHEC) have been pointed out so many issues. The purpose of this study is to present ways to improve the appropriation standards for OSHEC through the reviewing of several issues about the current system and analysis of existing statistical data. Based on the result of the research, it is proposed the new model for OSHEC.

탈구치의 치근 흡수 (Root Resorption of Avulsed tooth : case report)

  • Completely avulsed tooth caused by a traumatic injury needs replantation for treatment choice. But, replantated tooth usually comes with inflammatory root resorption, replacement resorption and ankylosis, moreover ankylosis cause severe functional and esthetic problems. The outcome of replantated tooth depends on the following factors; minimal damage to pulp and periodontal tissue, the length of extraoral time, the medium of the tooth stored, the level of root formation and so on. The purpose of this case report is to describe the variable resorption pattern and to discuss types that influence the occurrence of resorption.

개심술후 발생한 일측성 성대마비 -2례 보고- (Unilateral vocal cord paralysis after open heart surgery -A report of 2 cases-)

  • We have experienced 2 cases vocal cord paralysis after open heart surgery. One was a postoperatively developed right unilateral vocal cord paralysis after prosthetic mitral valve replacement with tricuspid valve annuloplasty. The other was a postoperative left unilateral vocal cord paralysis after prosthetic aortic and mitral valve replacement with tricuspid annuloplasty. They were intubated for forty-eight and seventy-two hours but after extubation complained of hoarseness, aphonia, anxiety, and ineffective coughing Indirect laryngoscopy performed at about postoperative one week, revealed partial paralysis and decreased mobility of the vocal cord. After active phonation therapy, symptoms were improved gradually and in the follow up indirect laryngoscopy, the vocal cord paralysis was improved. The symptoms were recovered completely at about postoperative one month in both. The cause of vocal cord paralysis after open heart surgery may be any retraction or stretching injury to the recurrent laryngeal nerve, especially right side, during median sternotomy retraction and open heart operation procedures. As a result, avoid of excessive spread of median sternotomy retractor and excessive manipulation and retraction of the heart during open heart procedures will reduce the occurrence of the vocal cord paralysis.

  • Unlike conventional transmission and distribution lines, catenary system for operating electric railway vehicles are composed of multi-conductor groups (feeder line, contact wire, messenger wire, protection wire) and are used for railway employees, public or passengers in the station yards. Electric shock hazards are exposed and electric shocks such as death or serious injury are occurring in electric railway vehicles, railway high-voltage distribution lines, and catenary system. In order to analyze the types of electric shock accidents on railway by systematic approach method, we modeled 'unsafe behavior classification' method using swiss cheese model. Based on this method, we derived the type of electric shock accidents about railway accidents during the last 5 years by analyzing the frequency of occurrence of human errors and unsafe acts, laws and regulations related to violations, and so on.

Surgical Management of an Isolated Huge Innominate Artery Aneurysm Causing Tracheal Compression: A Case Report

  • The innominate artery is an uncommon site for an aneurysm, and tracheal compression caused by an innominate artery aneurysm is a very rare occurrence. An innominate artery aneurysm can cause catastrophic complications, such as rupture or thromboembolism. The most common surgical approach for open repair is median sternotomy with cardiopulmonary bypass, but cerebral ischemic injury and thromboembolism can occur during surgery. We present the case of a male patient who had an isolated giant innominate artery aneurysm causing tracheal compression, which was successfully managed by surgical repair.

N-P-K 양분 수준이 토마토의 오존 감수성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of N-P-K Nutrient Levels on Ozone Susceptibility of Tomato Plants)

  • 양액조성의 차이에 따른 토마토의 오존 감수성을 구명하고자 1/2농도의 Hoagland 용액을 표준으로 하여 양액을 조성하였다. N-P-K의 수준을 $N_{100}$ $P_{100}$ $K_{100}$(대조구), $N_{47}$ $P_{100}$ $K_{100}$(질소 감량구), $N_{93}$ $P_0$ $K_{100}$(인산 제거구), $N_{100}$ $P_{100}$ $K_0$(칼륨 제거구), $N_{153}$ $P_{100}$ $K_{100}$(질소 중량구), $N_{107}$ $P_{200}$ $K_{100}$(인산 2배구), $N_{140}$ $P_{100}$ $K_{200}$(칼륨 2배구) 등으로 나누어 수경재배한 후 $0.25{\mu}l/L$의 오존에 접촉시킨 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 지상부 생육은 질소 감량구와 인산 제거구에서 가장 저조하였고, 인산 및 갈륨 제거구에서 인산가 칼륨의 엽중함량이 극히 낮았다. 시비수준의 차이에 따른 가시피해율은 칼륨 제거구에서 가장 심하게 나타났다. 인산 제거구, 질소 감량구 및 중량구 또는 인산과 칼륨 2배구의 피해율은 표준구와 비슷한 경향을 보였다. 2. 오존접촉 후 칼륨 제거구에서 다른 처리구에 비하여 ethylene발생량, 전해질 유출량과 MDA함량이 증가하였으며 엽록소의 함량은 크게 감소였다. 3. 가시피해가 가장 심했던 칼륨 제거구에서 SOD의 활성이 가장 낮았으며 오존접촉 후에도 활성 증가율이 가장 낮게 유지되었다.

유치열기의 치아 외상에 관한 연구 (A STUDY OF THE TRAUMATIC INJURIES IN THE PRIMARY DENTITION)

  • 본 연구는 경희대학교 치과대학병원 소아치과에 치아외상을 주소로 내원한 411명의 어린이를 대상으로 치아외상의 발생 연령과 남녀간의 성차, 발생의 양상, 부위, 원인, 장소 및 외상 후 내원 시기와 계절적인 발생빈도 등을 조사하여 외상의 예방, 적절한 진단과 치료 그리고 보호자의 계도 및 외상에 관한 홍보에 도움이 되고자 시행하였다. 1998년부터 2000년 사이에 치아외상을 주소로 내원한 환자 중 생후 5개월에서 6세 사이 남아 261명, 여아 150명의 외상치아 745개를 대상으로 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1.치아 외상은 남아가 여아보다 1.74배 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 남녀 모두 $1{\sim}2$세(34.1%) 및 $2{\sim}3$세(24.3%) 사이에 많이 발생하였다. 2. 치아 외상 양태는 진탕 32.2% 함입 11.9%, 측방변위 10.1%의 순으로 나타났다. 3. 상악 유중절치가 외상 치아의 75.3%로 가장 많이 발생하였다. 4. 치아 외상의 원인은 '넘어짐' 46.0%, '부딪힘' 40.3%, '떨어짐' 6.0% 순으로, 장소는 집안 48.0%, 집밖 37.7%, 유치원 9.2% 순으로 발생하였다. 5. 치아 외상 후 24시간 내에 내원하는 경우가 46.0%, 1주일내 29.5%, 1시간내가 7.5%를 보였다. 6. 월별 치아 외상은 10월(12.7%), 6월(12.2%), 5월(11.7%) 순으로 발생하였다.
