  • Computational simulation has been carried out to examine the effects of pilot injection to reduce both of NOx and Soot emissions in a marine diesel engine. For verification of the computational result, calculated cylinder pressure was matched to experimental pressure. In this study, the primary variables were injection timing, dwell time and injection rate while the amount of injection fuel was maintained constant. It was revealed that variation of pilot injection timing affects auto ignition and heat release rate. In the results, both of NO and soot emission were reduced without deterioration of in-cylinder pressure under the condition of $10^{\circ}$CA dwell time and 0.022kg/s injection rate.

  • In this paper, a numerical analysis of one-dimensional viscous fluid flow in a rock joint using UDEC code is performed to evaluate the effect of design parameters on injection performance. We consider injection pressure, fluid compressibility, time dependence of yield strength and viscosity of injected grout fluid, and mechanical deformation of joint as the design parameters, and penetration length and flow rate of injection are investigated as the injection performance. Numerical estimations of penetration length and flow rate were compared to analytical solution and were well comparable with each other. We showed that cumulative injection volume can be over-estimated by 1.2 times than the case that the time-dependent viscosity evolution is not considered. We also carried out a coupled fluid flow and mechanical deformation analysis and demonstrated that injection-induced joint opening may result in the increment of cumulative volume by 4.4 times of that from the flow only analysis in which joint aperture is kept constant.

  • In this study, basic research was conducted on manufacturing technology of thick-walled light guide a component that controls the light source of automobile lamps. As a preliminary study for manufacturing the final injection molded parts, a model for analyzing the influence of micro patterns on light guides is presented. The optical characteristics of the light guide were analyzed according to the change of the curvature radius of the micro-optical pattern, and the injection molding characteristics of the light guide according to the change of injection molding conditions were analytically evaluated. It was confirmed that the luminance uniformity improves as the R value decreases for changes in the micro-pattern R value, but it was confirmed that there are technical limitations in actual injection mold core processing and high-replication injection molding. Injection molding analysis showed that cooling channel design is very important compared to general injection molding due to thick-wall characteristics and thickness variation. It was also confirmed that the cooling channel has a great influence on the cycle time and birefringence result due to residual stress. As a result of analyzing the influence of filling time, holding condition, and cooling on shrinkage, it was found that the cooling water temperature has a significant effect on the shrinkage of ultra-fine light guide parts, and the holding condition also has a significant effect.

  • The effect of injector driving current pattern on fuel injection rate of solenoid diesel common rail injector was studied by computer simulation. The time resolved fuel injection rate and injected quantity per stroke of a common rail injector driven with the five current patterns were computer simulated. The fuel injection rate and injected quantity per stroke according to the rail pressure and fuel injection period were also computer simulated. When the common rail injector was driven with the five driving current patterns of peak & hold, there was no difference in the fuel injection rate in the peak section regardless of all the current patterns of the five cases. On the other hand, the magnitude of the hold current value influenced the injection rate and injected quantity per stroke. That is, in the current pattern of three cases where the hold current value is equal to or more than a constant value of the peak current value, the fuel injection rates for the given common rail rail pressure and injection period are same one another. On the other hand, the current pattern of the two cases, in which the hold current value is smaller than a certain value, there is a large fluctuation in the fuel injection rate.

  • SQL Injection attacks are one of the older attack techniques and are the dominant type of hacking attempts against web services. There have been many attempts to hack SQL injection attacks by exposing data or obtaining privileges. In this paper, we implement a log analysis system that can respond to SQL injection attacks in real time using the open source ELK Stack. did. By providing a visualization of SQL injection attack log data through the implemented system, it is expected that users will be able to easily grasp the degree of attack risk and quickly prepare for attacks.

  • This study explores the rate of injection (ROI) and injection quantities of a solenoid-type high-pressure injector under varying conditions by integrating experimental methods with machine learning (ML) techniques. Experimental data for fuel injection were obtained using a Zeuch-based HDA Moehwald injection rate measurement system, which served as the foundation for developing a machine learning model. An artificial neural network (ANN) was employed to predict the ROI, ensuring accurate representation of injection behaviors and patterns. The present study examines the impact of ambient conditions, including chamber temperature, chamber pressure, and injection pressure, on the transient profiles of the ROI, quasi-steady ROI, and injection duration. Results indicate that increasing the injection pressure significantly increases ROI, with chamber pressure affecting its initial rising peak. However, the chamber temperature effect on ROI is minimal. The trained ANN model, incorporating three input conditions, accurately reflected experimental measurements and demonstrated expected trends and patterns. This model facilitates the prediction of various ROI profiles without the need for additional experiments, significantly reducing the cost and time required for developing injection control systems in next-generation aero-engine combustors.

  • Formation of asbestos bodies in various organs of mouse in course of time after intraperitoneal injection of three types of asbestoses was studied. Asbestos bodies as well as asbestos fibers were found both in intrapleural organs such as lung and heart and intraperitoneal organs after intraperitoneal injection of asbestos fiber this suggested the possibility that asbestos fiber could migrate to the whole body. When asbestos was injected intrapleurally asbestos fiber was found in the lung 15 days after injection but asbestos body was not found till 30 days after injection. The process of asbestos body formation was described.

  • The injection molding process is analyzed to get the information on the mold design parameters and the optimum process conditions for automotive plastic front fender. The gate position, runner size and cooling channel are determined by the estimation of the flow balance, packing time, uniform cooling and shrinkage and warpage in the injection molding analyses. The procedure can be used in the mold design in the early stage when developing plastic parts.

  • Injection molding has been widely used for the mass production of a plastic product. With the development of the relative technique, various injection molding techniques have been developed and we could get more precise plastic product. The temperature of a melting resin is an important factor in the injection molding and this temperature has direct influence on the quality of a plastic product. In the present injection molding machine, the deriation of a temperature controlled by PID control method is within 2$^{\circ}C$ in the injection molding machine but PID control method takes too much time to stabilize after preheating and its overshoot is so big. We applied fuzzy control to alleriate the problem. In this research, we experimented the fuzzy temperature control with the usage of PC based PLC.

  • Powder injection molding is an important manufacturing technology to mass produce superalloy components with complex shape. Injection molding step is particularly important for realizing a desired shape, which requires much time and efforts finding the optimum process condition. Therefore computer aided engineering can be very useful to find proper injection molding conditions. In this study, we have conducted a finite element method based simulation for the spiral mold test of superalloy feedstock and compared the results with experimental ones. Sensitivity analysis with both of simulation and experiment reveals that the melt temperature of superalloy feedstock is the most important factor for the full filling of mold cavity. The FEM based simulation matches well the experimental results. This study contributes to the optimization of superalloy powder injection molding process.
