Optical modeling and characterization of transparent dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC) are presented to design and estimate DSC devices numerically. In order to model the inhomogeneous active layer of DSC, the porous structure of titanium oxide ($TiO_2$) and dye mixture, we prepared films consisting of layer by layer of the DSC's basic materials sequentially, and characterized the optical parameters of the films with the effective refractive index, which was extracted from the transmittance and reflectance measurements in ultra violet to near infra-red range. By using the effective refractive index, we made the optical model for DSC, and demonstrated that the optical model based on effective refractive index can be used to design and evaluate the performance of transparent-type DSC modules.

인체의 피부온도는 쾌적성과 감성에 크게 영향을 미치며 의류의 개발이나 건축환경의 설계 등에 활용되고 있다. 단순히 몇몇 측정점에서의 피부온도 데이터가 아니라 인체표면에 걸친 온도분포를 파악함으로써 다양한 정보를 이용하여 보다 광범위한 응용분야에 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 현재 인체표면의 온도분포를 측정하기 위하여 대부분 적외선 열화상 카메라를 활용하고 있다 그러나 열화상 카메라는 서미스터 등을 이용한 피부온 센서에 비하여 온도분해능이 떨어지며 특히 의복내의 피부온을 측정하는 것이 불가능하고 노출된 인체표면에 대해서만 측정이 가능하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 피부온 센서를 이용한 인체표면 온도분포 측정시스템을 개발하기 위하여 각 센서의 위치와 간격, 그리고 인체 곡면을 따라서 보간법에 따라 온도분포 결과에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 적외선 화상 결과와 비교하고자 한다.

We present near-IR imaging polarimetry of the observed $5{\times}9$ fields (${\sim}39'{\times}69'$) in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), using the InfraRed Survey Facility (IRSF). We obtained polarimetry data in J, H, and Ks bands using the JHKs-simultaneous imaging polarimeter SIRPOL. We measured Stokes parameters of point-like sources to derive the degree of polarization and the polarization position angle. We show a polarization vector map in the reduced 45 fields and the statistical distribution of the polarization degrees and angles. This poster presents the preliminary results to show the physical properties of the magnetic field in the observed LMC regions.

It is considered that the effect of radiation aging, such as electron beam due to the ultra-high voltage for transmission, on the physical properties and electrical characteristics of electrital insulating materials. Low-density polyethylene(thickness 100[${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$]) is selected as an experimental specimen. Fourier transform infra-red spectrum, X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry and scanning electron microscopy is used so as to analysis the physical properties, the morphological changes and the crystallinity of LDPE. And it is made an experiments of dielectric characteristics in the temperature range of 20[$^{\circ}C$]~120[$^{\circ}C$], in the frequency range of 30[Hz]~1.5$\times$10$^{5}$ [Hz] and in the applied voltage range of 300[mV]~1500[mV].

본 논문에서는 초음속유동장 내에 분사된 2차 분사유동과 주유동의 상호작용에 의한 2차 분사노즐 주변에서의 열전달 현상을 관찰하였다. 벽면에는 등열유속조건을 주었다. 제트 자유유동간 운동량비(Jet to Freestream Momentum Ratio, J)에 따라 2차 분사를 초음속 유동장에 분사시켰으며, 적외선 카메라를 이용하여 2차 분사노즐 주변 벽면온도를 측정하였고, 이를 통하여 대류 열전달계수를 제시하였다.

A hydrophilic macromolecular network containing hydrophobic moieties has been prepared by free radical copolymerization of acrylamide and styrene in the presence of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and its potential as controlled drug delivery carrier was evaluated with tetracycline as a model antibiotic drug. The amount of drug was assayed spectrophotometrically. The network was characterized by optical microscopy, infra-red spectroscopy and structural parameters such as average molecular weight between cross1inks ($M_c$), cross1ink density (q) and number of elastically effective chains ($V_e$) were evaluated. It was found that with increasing concentration of PVA, ST and MBA in the hydrogel, the release rate initially increases but after definite concentrations of the above components the release rate falls. In the case of AM, release rate constantly decreases with increasing AM concentration in the hydrogel.

A sensory element against carbaryl, as a widely used pesticide was prepared based on adsorbed acetylcholine esterase (AChE) from Torpedo california. Octadecyl was substituted on macro-porous silica, confirmed by infra-red (IR) spectroscopy and quantitatively estimated through thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA). Immobilization of the enzyme was achieved by adsorption on this support. Activity of the immobilization product was measured as a function of the loaded enzyme concentration, and maximum binding capacity of the support was estimated to be 43.18 nmol.mg-1. The immobilized preparations were stable for more than two months at storage conditions and showed consistency in continuous operations. Possible application of the immobilized AChE for quantitative analysis of carbaryl is proposed in this study.

Three strains among 120 adenineless mutants of Brevibacterium ammoniagenes described in the previous paper were screened out to accumulate UV absorbing substances in the culture broth. It was analyzed to be 5'-inosinic acid and hypoxanthine by means of two dimensional paper chromatography, UV absorption spectra and periodate oxidation. 5'-IMP was isolated from the culture broth of the mutant No. 203 with anion-exchange resin amberite IRA-400 and recrystallized from ethanol. It was proved identical to authentic sample by Infra-red absorption spectrum. The growth responses of the mutant No. 2013 were demonstrated to require adenine, but not with adenosine and 5'-AMP.

Objectives : This report intended to estimate effect taken by using acupuncture, herbal medication on the patient with Pyogenic Spondylitis Methods : From 17 December, 2003 to 30 August, 2004. The patient received TDP, Infra-Red and Acupuncture therapy. Results : After being hospitalized for 8 months, the patient's Motor Grade, VAS, ODI, Nurick's grading system were improved each from III to IV+, from 5 to 4, from 21.25 to 17.5, from Gr. IV to Gr. II. Conclusion : We considered that oriental treatment has an useful effect on Pyogenic spondylitis patient's treatment and recovery.

By the chemical procedure and infra-red spectroscopy, the characteristics of humic acid were studied. The results were as follows: 1. Molecular weight. 5,200. 2. Molecular formula. $C_{240}H_{250}O_{120}N_{1O}$. 3. Rational formula. 4. Confirmation of the accurate structure of humic acid is beyond us nowadays. The structure is speculated that it may be a kind of condensed polymer of many benzene kerns in which above mentioned various functional groups are attached. Also some part of the large quantities of oxygen would be furan type carbonyl and aliphatic ethereal forms.
