This Study intends to Investigate the economic impact of information technology investment. Six countries in OECD are selected and analyzed to understand the empirical relationship between informatization level and productivity Correlation test and regression analysis are executed, using macro data concerning informatization index, total factor productivity and real output per worker hour The impact of informatization level on productivity is characterized by the time lag effect which is used to explain the productivity paradox in precedent studies. Empirical analysis shows that the higher informatization level and information intensity, the lower time lag effect. The result indicates that IT investment has characteristic as sunk cost and the economic impact is appeared after a certain period of time.

Enterprise should determine the adoption and utilization of information systems would be a great help to increase management performance. So, it maintains continually the budget and the investment for informatization. However, there is a limit to clarify whether the investment in informatization is contributed to create business opportunities through corporate competitiveness certainty or not. We tend to recognize the information system as a simple means to support common business rather than being used to achieve the company's business performance and to remain competitive. It is not an easy problem for the quantitative evaluation and analysis on the effect of intangible, such as management performance measurement by introducing computerization project. Informatization level evaluation model for the harsh business environment, specifically the Small and Medium Enterprise is lacking. In this paper, we proposed the audit evaluation model of an Small and Medium Enterprise informatization level based on system quality, information quality, user satisfaction, and IT business contribution. The proposed audit evaluation model was evaluated in the information system users, and verified the suitability throughout the survey of the audit professionals.

This study aims to investigate the factors influencing the life satisfaction of North Korean defectors in the ongoing situation of difficulties. Specifically, it examines the impact of the digital informatization level, and social capital on their life satisfaction and aims to verify the mediating effect of social capital in the relationship between the digital informatization level and life satisfaction. To achieve this, a structural equation model was utilized to validate the research model using data from 679 North Korean defectors who participated in the 2021 Report on the digital Divide. The research results confirm the direct influence of the digital informatization level and social capital of North Korean defectors on life satisfaction. Additionally, the study identifies the mediating effect of social capital in the relationship between the digital informatization level and life satisfaction. Based on these research findings, recommendations are proposed for enhancing the life satisfaction of North Korean defectors.

Due to the rise of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) adoption in many fields, it is necessary to diagnose the informatization situations of corporations in agriculture and give suggestions for improvement. For this goal, surveys were designed and conducted to understand the current informatization situations of agriculture corporations in Korea. The survey covers the plan for utilizing information technology, the establishment of infrastructure for information technology, IT application status, and its effect on their performance. The Korean economy has recently changed from industry-based economy toward information-based one, empha-sizing on information utiliation and technological development. It is important to examine the background for the incoming information society and spatial aspect of infromation, because informati-zation process itself contains spatial features like spatial concentrtion and dispersion. This paper generally focuses on the socio-cultural aspects of the informati-zation aspects. The main questions are as follows: 1) what are the ain questions of the exsisting Korean case studies on the informatization; 2) how can we find the charateristics of spatial concentration of informatization by informatization indices; 3) is there any relationship between the degree of informatiztion and regional development? The results of this study can be found in the following facts: (1) The exsisting studies cannot be generallized as spatial analysis on the informatization In general, they focus only a single aspect of information industry or information job. Futhermore, their spatial unit of analysis is limited to provincial level, rather thn city-level micro study. (2) There are big differences between the Capital region, especially Seoul, and others with regard to the socio-cultural aspects of informatiation. Such informatization is concentrated in Seoul. Inchon and Kyeonggi-do, which are the better positions in information intensive activities. (3) The regional differences for the level of informatization are much bigger than those for the level of welfare, suggesting that the informatization tends to concentrate in specified large cities like Seoul. It is clear the Korea is now entering the initial stage of information society.

The introduction and application of IT(Information Technology) to a company has become to be viewed as a key factor for the business competitiveness and improved productivity. This study presents an approach to evaluation of a company's informatization level, which is especially appropriate for small and medium enterprises. The proposed evaluation method, based on the traditional questionnaire approaches, considers the various characteristics of the company, e.g., types of business, characteristics of customers, and locations of supply chains etc. A web-based system was developed to enable users to obtain the evaluation results from the evaluation method. The system also provides a function to produce valuable strategies for informatization by utilizing the case base which will be cumulated by repetitive evaluation requests. Finally, a real case was analyzed in order to verify the practicality of the evaluation system.

Indicators measuring performance and the level of informatization of construction companies have recently been developed. Construction companies' investment in informatization, however, is still relatively low compared to that of other companies in different industries, since it has been difficult in quantifying the effect of informatization on total performance. This study, therefore, conducted an industry survey using indicators provided by previous studies, and used them to calculate performance and informatization indices for construction companies. Finally, it suggested a quantitative analysis of the effect of informatization on these companies' performance.

Considering the importance of SMEs, which account for 88% of employment and 99% of domestic businesses, the government has implemented informatization policy support. On the other hand, due to budget limitations and the ability of the private market, it is time to transition to the new policy of the informatization support paradigm. This study evaluated the informatization policy support of SMBA by a comparison with the stage model to determine the future direction. The informatization development model is a step model divided into five levels ranging from the informatization initiation level to the strategic innovation level. The informatization policy of SMBA was focused on the development of automation and in-house integration, and business-to-business integration and strategic innovation step was found to be lacking. Based on these results, there are three implications for the informatization policy of the next SMEs. First, there is a need for a movement of the center of the support in the informatization step to the strategic innovative step. Second, by establishing an informatization road map, it is necessary to develop their own informatization capabilities according to the road map. Finally, it is important to improve the effectiveness of informatization support based on performance rather than policy providers.

The purpose of this study ws6 to find out women's informationized conditions and their life changes. The subjects of this research were 482 women living in large and small-medium sized cities. The data analysis used average, pearson's correlation, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression by SAS/PC. The major findings were as follows: 1. Women's level of informationized conditions is under median in computer using and information technology. The effect of informatization is over median about improving the ability, recognizing from family and neighbor, achieving the occupation. The change of individual and family is under median except educational stimulus, life vitality and educational effect on the family. 2. The effect of informatization was influenced by ability of using computer, necessity and purpose of informatization. The change of individual was influenced by ability of using computer, purpose and effect of informatization and also the change of family was influenced by handicapped reason in information education and the effect of informatization.

Today, through developing country's Official Development Assistance (ODA) project, Republic of Korea is giving help in establishing communication networks, furnishing PCs and etc, as a help of information base expansion. And to resolve digital divide between countries, Republic of Korea's IT service group dispatch business has also significantly contributed to enhance information application level of developing countries. The conclusion and suggestion of this study is as follow. It is obvious that utilization of information can be affected by capability improvement of developing country's informatization level. However, developing informatization strategy level and environment in long term wise will cause greater influence than to raise immediate informatization base level. Overall, settlement of long term digital divide seems possible when we elevate developing countries' informatization strategy level and environment.
