Signaling Smartness: Smart Cities and Digital Art in Public Spaces

  • Informational urbanism is a new research area in information science. In this study, art history joins informational urbanism: Are digital artworks in public urban spaces recognized as essential assets of a smart city? We employed case study research, working with the example of the huge digital media façade of the Arthouse Graz as an artwork in a public space. In a mixed-methods approach, we asked passers-by and interviewed experts on Graz as a smart city and on the Arthouse's role concerning the image of Graz as a smart city. The research found strong hints that indeed digital artworks with large screens or media façades at public spaces are parts of a city's weak location factors as well as of the city's urban structure and may symbolize the city's smartness. A practical implication of this finding is that artists, computer and information scientists, city planners, and architects should include interactive contemporary digital art into city spaces in order to demonstrate the city's way towards knowledge society.

말기암 환자 가족에 대한 호스피스 팀의 정보적 지지 제공 효과 (Effect of Informational Support by Hospice Team on Family Caregivers of Terminally III Cancer Patient)

  • To evaluate the effect of informational support by hospice team on family caregivers of terminally ill cancer patients. 22 family caregivers of D University Hospital in Daegu city were participated. The research was conducted from Aug. 16th to Oct. 28th 2000 by using self-reported questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were the Weinert's scale of perceived social support. Spielberger's state anxiety inventory. CES-D. and Ellison and Paloutzian's spiritual well-being scale. The intervention was designed to give educational and counselling program up to 7 times within 4 weeks. Educational and counselling booklets which made by the researcher were used step by step by hospice team, he data were analysed frequency. percentage. Wilcoxon Singed Ranks Test with SPSS Win l0.0/PC. The results obtained from this study were as follows; 1. The perceived social support of family caregivers was significantly increased after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z=-3.045. p=0.002). 2. The anxiety of family caregivers was significantly reduced after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z =-3:348. p=0.001). 3. The depression of family caregivers was significantly reduced after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z=-3.641. p=0.000). 4. The spiritual well-being score of family caregivers was not significantly improved after ready planned informational support was applied by hospice team(z=-0.422. p=0.673). In conclusion. the results of this study clearly suggests that the informational support provided by hospice team not only increased the family caregivers' who are caring for terminally ill cancer patients. Therefor the informational support program designed by researcher for family caregivers who are caring for terminally ill cancer patients should be utilized and expended.

도시가스 수요량 예측을 위한 시계열 모형 개발 (A Development of Time-Series Model for City Gas Demand Forecasting)

  • 도시가스 수요량은 강한 계절성을 보이는 자료이다. 따라서 도시가스 수요량을 예측하기 위한 모형 구축에서 가장 중요한 요인은 계절성이다. 또한, 실제 도시가스 수요량에는 추가적 인 여러 요인들에 의하여 영향을 받을 수 있는데, 온도, 요일효과, 명절효과, 유효일 수, 수용가수 등이 영향 요인들이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 요인들이 도시가스 수요량에 미치는 영향력의 정도를 파악하고 효율적으로 향후 도시가스 수요량 예측을 위한 시계열 모형을 구축하였다. 적용된 모형은 오차항이 자기상관을 따르는 시계열 회귀모형을 이용하였으며 실제 자료를 이용한 예측결과 매우 우수한 예측력을 보였다.

도시주부의 대인적 지지, 생활긴장감 및 만족도 (Interpersonal support, Tension in life changes & Life satisfaction in Urban Housewives)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate interpersonal support, tension in lifechanges & satisfaction. The selected sample is composed of 387 housewives in ChongJoo city. SAS pc program was used for the statistical analysis of the data. Data was analyzed by frequency, F-test, percentage, mean, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Regression Analysis. Major findings as follows: 1)At wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents & parents-in law side were variables to have influence on tension in life changes. And the number of social organization participated were a variable to have influence on the satisfaction. The age of couple, education of couple, duration of marriage, income, family lifecycle, the number of children, pattern of family were variables to influence tension in life changes, but were not variables to influence on the satisfaction. 2) At usual or wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents side were variables to influence on instrumental & companionship support. And the number of friends was a variable to influence on companionship & informational support. The number of neighbors was a variable to influence on instrumental, companionship & informational support. The number of social organization participated was a variable to influence on companionship & emotional support. The age of couple, education of couple,income, duration of marriage, family life cycle, number of children, family size, family type were variables to influence on interpersonal support. 3)The relationship between tension and satisfaction in life changes was negative, and between instrumental support and satisfaction was negative also. But between companionship support and satisfaction was positive relationship and between tension of personal &social life and instrumental support was positive relationship. The relationship between tension of marriage life and companionship support was negative and between tension of family life and information support was negative relationships. The received companionship support was lower tension in life changes than not received it. But the received instrumental support was higher tension of personal & social life. The received companionship & informational support was higher satisfaction than not received them. But the received instrumental support was lower satisfaction than not received it. 4) Instrumental & companionship support, at usual kin network of her parents in taw side, at wedding & funeral ceremony kin network of her parents side,were variables to influence on tension in life changes. 도시크기에 따른 기계경비시스템 이용자의 안전욕구충족과 생활만족 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis on Security Needs Satisfaction and Life Satisfaction of Electronic Security System Users by City Size)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대도시와 지방도시 기계경비시스템 이용자의 안전욕구충족과 생활만족에 대한 차이를 비교분석하는데 있다. 이 연구는 대도시(서울)와 지방도시(천안 아산)를 모집단으로 선정한 다음 유의 표집법을 이용하여 총 400명을 표집 하였다. 구체적으로 각 지역에서 은행 귀금속점 편의점 통신업체등의 4개 영업점을 대상으로 2차 분할하여 실시하였으며, 1차는 2008년 6월 서울 소재 기계경비시스템 이용자들을 한강기준으로 강동, 강서, 강남, 강북, 도심권 등의 5개 지역으로 분할하여 각 지역에 1개동을 추출 40명씩 총 200부를 표집 하였다. 2차는 2009년 1월 천안 아산 소재 기계경비시스템 이용자들을 대상으로 4개 지역에서 50명씩 200명을 표집 하였다. 설문지의 신뢰도는 Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ 값이 .812이상으로 나타났다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도시크기에 따른 기계경비시스템 이용자들의 신체적 안전욕구충족은 차이가 있다. 즉, 대도시 이용자가 지방도시 이용자보다 환경적, 심리적, 정보적 안전욕구충족은 높다. 둘째, 도시크기에 따른 기계경비시스템 이용자들의 생활만족은 차이가 있다. 즉, 대도시 이용자가 지방도시 이용자보다 안전생활 만족은 높다. 셋째, 도시크기에 따른 기계경비시스템 이용자의 안전욕구충족은 생활만족에 영향을 미친다. 즉, 대도시 이용자들의 경우 신체적, 환경적, 정보적, 물리적 안전욕구충족이 높을수록 생활만족은 높다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide patient-centered nursing by comparing the patient needs, patient satisfaction, and communication type of nurses for patients admitted to integrated nursing care service ward and general ward. Methods: Data were collected by self-report questionnaires between September 7 and October 9, 2021. Patients were patients recruited from a hospital in D city, 100 each from comprehensive nursing care service ward and general ward. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, 𝜒2-test, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation. Results: There was no significant difference in patient needs between the patients of integrated nursing care service ward and the general ward (t=-1.12, p=.263). However, patient satisfaction was higher among the patients in integrated nursing care service ward than in the general ward (t=-3.55, p<.001). Pertaining to the communication type of nurses, the informational communication type (t=-4.02, p<.001) and the friendly communication type (t=-3.92, p<.001) were stronger in the integrated nursing care service ward than the general ward. It was, hence, confirmed that the educational requirements were positively correlated with patient satisfaction in the reliability domain and technical-professional domain, and that the nurse informational communication type and friendly communication type had a significantly positive correlation with patient satisfaction. Conclusion: The expansion of the integrated nursing care service ward may be considered in the future, with an informational and friendly communication method as an effective response that can be adapted in practice as a reflection the type of communication among nurses.

탈포드주의적 경제발전과 새로운 도시화 (Post-Fordist Economic Development and the New Urbanization Process)

  • 이 글의 목적은 최근 우리나라의 대도시에서 나타나고 있는 변화 경향들을 이론적으로 해명하려는 작업의 일환으로서, 1980년대 이후 서구의 지리학계에서 진행되고 있는 대도시 경제 변화 이론들의 동향을 탈포드주의적(Post-Fordism) 입장에서 고찰해 보기 위한 것이다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 우선 80년대 이후 서구 학계의 대도시 경제변화 이론의 전개 과정을 포드주의에서 탈포드주의로 세계 경제 체제가 변화하는 흐름과 관련지어 살펴보면서, 대도시경제 변화의 주요 경향들과 그 원인들을 살펴본다. 이중 특히 경제체제의 유연화에 따른 도시 경제의 변화 과정을 설명하려는 스코트(A.J. Scott) 등의 신산업공간(지구)론과, 정보통신기술의 발달에 따른 도시 경제의 변화 과정을 설명하려는 카스텔(M. Castells) 등의 정보도시론, 90년대 이후 제도주의 및 네트워크 패러다임 아래서 연계, 지식, 학습, 제도의 중요성을 강조하는 클러스터 및 지역혁신체제 이론을 집중적으로 조명해 본다. 한편 최근 세계 주요 대도시 경제에서 나타나는 일반적 경향인 사회 양극화 및 도시의 이중구조화에 관해서도 관심을 가지고 고찰한다. 마지막으로 이들 이론이 우리나라 대도시 연구에 갖는 시사점을 간단하게 짚어본다.

The Impact of Senders' Identity to the Acceptance of Electronic Word-of-Mouth of Consumers in Vietnam

  • Studies related to Electronic Word-of-Mouth (eWOM) show that the acceptance of eWOM information is an important factor in customer purchase decisions. When consumers accept eWOM information, they tend to use that information in considering before making purchase decisions. In Viet Nam, there are few studies about eWOM information, especially on the acceptance of eWOM information. Research is conducted to test the influence of consumers on the perception of the senders' identity to the acceptance of online reviews (a kind of eWOM) in Viet Nam - a case study in Ho Chi Minh City. Using adjustment techniques, inspecting the scales and a theoretical model represent the relationship among the influential factors. The research is based on a sample of 522 consumers who use the Internet to search for product reviews before buying and used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the relationships among the variables. The research results show that the scales of the variables: Message Quality, Source Credibility, Perceived Message Usefulness, Perceived Senders' Identity, Perceived Message Credibility, Message Acceptance attain the validity and reliability in the research. The research contributes to the understanding of the determinants that influence the acceptance of eWOM information, which are informational factors, and factors related to consumer skepticism.

관계혜택지각과 장기적 관계지향성에 관한 연구 -패션상품 소비자를 중심으로- (A Study on the Relationship Benefit Perception and Long-term Relationship Intention Among Fashion Product Consumers)

  • The Purposes of this study are to examine the relationship benefit perception of fashion product consumers and how their benefit perception influences oil long-term relationship intention, and to construct a model of long-term relationship intention. The data was obtained from a survey of 540 females over 20years old living in seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Gwangju-city during June in 2004. It was analyzed by frequency, reliability, factor analyses. The results of the survey were: 1 , Relationship benefits perceived by fashion product consumers were informational benefit, psychological benefit, special treatment benefit, economical benefit, and social benefit. 2. Relationship benefit influenced on satisfaction, trust, commitment, and commitment influenced on long-term relationship intention finally The findings of this study are expected to strengthen the necessity of applying customer relationship management for the fashion market.
