Tens of thousands of malicious codes are generated on average in a day. New types of malicious codes are surging each year. Diverse methods are used to detect such codes including those based on signature, API flow, strings, etc. But most of them are limited in detecting new malicious codes due to bypass techniques. Therefore, a lot of researches have been performed for more efficient detection of malicious codes. Of them, visualization technique is one of the most actively researched areas these days. Since the method enables more intuitive recognition of malicious codes, it is useful in detecting and examining a large number of malicious codes efficiently. In this paper, we analyze the relationships between malicious codes and Native API functions. Also, by applying the word cloud with text mining technique, major Native APIs of malicious codes are visualized to assess their maliciousness. The proposed malicious code analysis method would be helpful in intuitively probing behaviors of malware.
In this paper, we present a reliability-based iterative proportionality-logic decoding algorithm for two classes of structured low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. The main contributions of this paper include: 1) Syndrome messages instead of extrinsic messages are processed and exchanged between variable nodes and check nodes, which can reduce the decoding complexity; 2) a more flexible decision mechanism is developed in which the decision threshold can be self-adjusted during the iterative process. Such decision mechanism is particularly effective for decoding the majority-logic decodable codes; 3) only part of the variable nodes satisfying the pre-designed criterion are involved for the presented algorithm, which is in the proportionality-logic sense and can further reduce the computational complexity. Simulation results show that, when combined with factor correction techniques and appropriate proportionality parameter, the presented algorithm performs well and can achieve fast decoding convergence rate while maintaining relative low decoding complexity, especially for small quantized levels (3-4 bits). The presented algorithm provides a candidate for those application scenarios where the memory load and the energy consumption are extremely constrained.
In a secret sharing scheme, secret information must be distributed and stored to users, and confidentiality must be able to be reconstructed only from an authorized subset of users. To do this, secret information among different code words must not be subordinate to each other. The minimal code is a kind of linear block code to distribute these secret information not mutually dependent. In this paper, we present a novel extension technique for minimal codes. The product of an arbitrary vector and a minimal code produces a new minimal code with an extended length and Hamming weight. Accordingly, it is possible to provide minimal codes with parameters not known in the literature.

In order to handle the problem that puncture patterns will change the position distribution of original information bits and frozen bits in polar codes, which affects performance of puncture polar codes further, a minimum row weight and polar spectrum based puncture polar codes construction algorithm (called PA-MRWP) is proposed in this paper. The algorithm calculates row weight of generator matrix and sorts the row weight in ascending order first. Next, the positions with the minimum row weight are selected as initial puncture positions. If the rows with the same row weight cannot all be punctured, polar spectrum based auxiliary puncture scheme is used. In sub-channels with the same row weight, rows corresponding to the polarized sub-channels with higher reliability are selected as puncture positions to construct puncture vector, and the reliability is calculated based on polar spectrum. It is actually a two-step selection strategy, the proposed minimum row weight puncture (MRWP) algorithm is used for primary selection and polar spectrum based auxiliary puncture is used for adjustment. Simulation results show that, compared with worst quality puncture (WQP) algorithm, the proposed PA-MRWP algorithm and Gaussian approximation-aided minimum row weight puncture (GA-MRWP) algorithm provide gains of about 0.46 dB and 0.29 dB at bit error rate (BER) of 10-4, respectively when code length N=400, code rate R=1/2. In addition, the proposed puncture algorithms improve the BER performance significantly with respect to quasi-uniform puncture (QUP) algorithm.

The high encoding complexity of LDPC codes can be solved by designing structured parity-check matrix. If the parity-check matrix of LDPC codes is composed of same type of blocks, decoder implementation can be simple, this structure allow structured decoding and required memory for storing the parity-check matrix can be reduced largely. In this parer, we propose a construction algorithm for short block length structured LDPC codes based on girth condition, PEG algorithm and variable node connectivity. The code designed by this algorithm shows similar performance to other codes without structured constraint in low SNR and better performance in high SNR than those by simulation

RS product codes are widely used in digital storage systems. There are lots of decoding strategies for product code for short-length RS codes. Unfortunately many of them cannot be applied to long-length RS product codes because of the complexity of decoder. This paper proposes new decoding strategies which can be used in long length RS product codes.

In most digital communication systems over the noisy channel, some form of forward error correction scheme is employed for reliable communications. If one wants to recover the transmitted message without any knowledge of the error correcting codes employed, it is of utmost importance to figure out and reconstruct the error correcting codes. In this paper, we propose two algorithms of reconstructing linear cyclic codes from the corrupted received bit sequence, one for general linear binary cyclic codes and the other for Reed-Solomon codes. For two algorithms, we ran computer simulations and the performances are shown to be superior to those with the conventional LWM method.

In this paper, we verify the channel synthesis and decomposition of polar codes using successive cancellation decoding algorithm over binary discrete memoryless symmetric channel by modifying Arikan's algebraic formular on encoding and decoding of polar codes. In addition, we found that information bits are sent by efficiently consisting of polar codes with their size $2^n$ through polarizing matrix ${G_2}^{{\otimes}n}$ over binary discrete memoryless symmetric channel W. Expecially, if $N{\geq}2$, the complexity of Arikan's encoding and decoding for polar codes is O($Nlog_2N$). Furthermore, we found that polar codes are one of the solution to the challenging problems for the multipoint communication.

In this paper, we suggest the power allocation method which enhances the performance in high SNR for LDPC codes. In this method, bit power is unequally allocated proportionally to the difference of the degree distributions of variable and check nodes of Tanner graph between practically used codes and the codes optimized by density evolution. Simulation is performed to the codes in IEEE 802.16e standards, and the results show that the proposed method works well in high SNR.
The bit error rate(BER)of the data passed through Wideband-Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA) system with turbo-codes structure is presented. The performance of turbo-codes under W-CDMA system is estimated for various users and iteration numbers of decoding. The channel model is Additive White Gaussian Noise(AWGN) and Rayleigh fading channel. When iteration number increases, bit error probability of turbo-codes decreases. and when the number of users increase, bit error probability of turbo-codes increases.
