The Assessment Study on which the Forms of Foot Arch and Planta have been changed according to the tilting of Scapular & Ilium (견갑골과 장골의 경사에 따른 족궁 및 발바닥의 형태변화에 관한 측정연구)

  • This report is to study on the progress on which foot arch and planta has been changed according to body type based on 4 tilting of scapular & ilium. This study has been carried out to help contribute to some basic information like these. One was to find out how to assess and analysize the deformity of feet and ankle joint which may have the most impact on ideal alignment of anatomical posture. The other was to figure out how to diagnose and treat the deformity to get to the restoration. The results of this study is as followings; 1. The findings which had been made from 22 persons(50%) having left scapular and ilium forward tilt are as follows. 1) On the longitudinal length of the planta left parts of 18 persons(82%) are longer than the right one. On the transversel length of the planta right parts of 17 persons(77%) are longer than the left one. 2) On the size of medial longitudinal arch the left parts of 20 persons(91%) are more wider than the right one. 3) On the sign of supinated foot, the left parts of 18 persons(82%) are more common than the right one. 4) On the thickness of big toe, the left parts of 14 persons(64%) are thicker than the right one. 2. The findings which had been made from 15 persons(34%) having right scapular and ilium forward tilt are as follows. 1) On the longitudinal length of the planta right parts of 11 persons(73%) are longer than the left one. On the transversel length of the planta left parts of 13 persons(87%) are longer than the right one. 2) On the size of medial longitudinal arch the right parts of 13 persons(87%) are more wider than the left one. 3) On the sign of supinated foot, the right parts of 12 persons(80%) are more common than the left one. 4) On the thickness of big toe, the right parts of 7 persons(47%) are thicker than the left one. 3. The findings which had been made from 3 persons(7%) having left scapular and right ilium forward tilt are as follows. 1) On the longitudinal length of the planta right parts of 2 persons(67%) are longer than the left one. On the transversel length of the planta left parts of 2 persons(67%) are longer than the right one. 2) On the size of medial longitudinal arch the right parts of 3 persons(100%) are more wider than the left one. 3) On the sign of supinated foot, the right parts of 2 persons(67%) are more common than the left one. 4) On the thickness of big toe, the left parts of 2 persons(67%) are thicker than the right one. 4. The findings which had been made from 4 persons(9%) having right scapular and left ilium forward tilt are as follows. 1) On the longitudinal length of the planta left parts of 3 persons(75%) are longer than the right one. On the transversel length of the planta right parts of 2 persons(50%) are longer than the left one. 2) On the size of medial longitudinal arch the left parts of 3 persons(75%) are more wider than the right one. 3) On the sign of supinated foot, the left parts of 3 persons(75%) are more common than the right one. 4) On the thickness of big toe, the left parts of 3 persons(75%) are thicker than the right one.

Factors of Influencing Satisfaction with Orthodontic Treatment in Orthodontic Patients (치열교정치료시 교정환자의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to research into the satisfaction with orthodontic treatment and the psychologically satisfactory condition to be expected, and to offer information in order to enhance medical-treatment service, by surveying the influential factors upon satisfaction with treatment targeting patients who receive orthodontic treatment. Targeting 382 patients who are under treatment at S dental clinic in Gyeonggi Province, B dental clinic in Daegu Metropolitan City, and Y dental clinic in Busan Metropolitan City, which specialize in orthodontic treatment, it carried out the direct interview survey of using the structured questionnaire from January 20, 2009 to February 28. The collected data was analyzed by using SPSSWIN 17.0 K. The following conclusions were obtained. 1. In the satisfaction with orthodontic treatment according to aesthetic factor, the group with bad aesthetic health condition was higher than the group with good health condition(p<0.05). As for the factor of tooth alignment, a case of good health condition was indicated to have higher(p<0.05) satisfaction than a case of being bad. 2. As for satisfaction according to necessity for orthodontic treatment, the satisfaction was high in a case of recognizing necessity much and of understanding medical-treatment contents much, and in a case of being well adjusted to the progression of orthodontic treatment. As for a psychological change after orthodontic treatment, the satisfaction was high in a case with a positive change(p<0.001). 3. The factors of influencing satisfaction with orthodontic treatment had significant influence in order of necessity for orthodontic treatment(p<0.001), adjustment to progression of orthodontic treatment(p<0.001), psychological change after orthodontic treatment(p<0.01), expectation level of dental health after orthodontic treatment(p<0.01), and understanding about treatment contents(p<0.01). As a result of research, the satisfaction with orthodontic treatment in patients with orthodontics is indicated to be relatively high. Thus, the careful consideration is considered to be probably necessary on qualitative part in medical treatment and on patients' expectation by grasping patents' mentally psychological condition.

  • Metallothionein (MT) family of metal-binding proteins are involved in maintaining homeostasis and heavy metal poisoning. Recently, MT has been considered as a biomarker that can identify a particular species, very similar to the use of cytochrome oxidase I (COI) gene. Satsuma myomphala species of land snails have been reported from North-East Asia, including South Korea and Japan. In particular, the land snail species have been known from only a limited area of Geoje Island, Gyeongsangnam-do province of South Korea. Genetic studies of S. myomphala has been limited with only 6 nucleotide, 2 protein registered on the NCBI server. For elucidating the genetic information of S. myomphala, we conducted RNA sequencing analysis using Illumina HiSeq 2500 next-generation platform. We screened the MT gene from the RNA-Seq database to confirm the molecular phylogenetic relationship. After sequencing, the de novo analysis and clustering generated 103,774 unigenes. After annotation against PANM database using BLAST program, we obtained MT sequence of 74 amino acid residues containing the coding region of 222 bp. Based on this sequence, we found about 53 sequences using the BLAST program in NCBI nr database. Using ClustalX alignment, Maximum-Likehood Tree of MEGA program, we confirmed the molecular phylogenetic relationships that showed similarity with mollusks such as Helix pomatia and H. aspersa, Megathura crenulata.

Proteome Data Analysis of Hairy Root of Panax ginseng : Use of Expressed Sequence Tag Data of Ginseng for the Protein Identification (인삼 모상근 프로테옴 데이터 분석 : 인삼 EST database와의 통합 분석에 의한 단백질 동정)

  • For the hairy root of Panax ginseng, we have got mass spectrums from MALDI/TOF/MS analysis and Tandem mass spectrums from ESI/Q-TOF/MS analysis. While mass spectrum provides the molecular weights of peptide fragments digested by protease such as trypsin, tandem mass spectrum produces amino acid sequence of digested peptides. Each amino acid sequences can be a query sequence in BLAST search to identify proteins. For the specimens of animals or plants of which genome sequences were known, we can easily identify expressed proteins from mass spectrums with high accuracy. However, for the other specimens such as ginseng, it is difficult to identify proteins with accuracy since all the protein sequences are not available yet. Here we compared the mass spectrums and the peptide amino acid sequences with ginseng expressed sequence tag (EST) DB. The matched EST sequence was used as a query in BLAST search for protein identification. They could offer the correct protein information by the sequence alignment with EST sequences. 90% of peptide sequences of ESI/Q-TOF/MS are matched with EST sequences. Comparing 68% matches of the same sequences with the nr database of NCBI, we got more matches by 22% from ginseng EST sequence search. In case of peptide mass fingerprinting from MALDI/TOF/MS, only about 19% (9 proteins of 47 spots) among peptide matches from nr DB were correlated with ginseng EST DB. From these results, we suggest that amino acid sequencing using tandem mass spectrum analysis may be necessary for protein identification in ginseng proteome analysis.

Optimized Implementation of Block Cipher PIPO in Parallel-Way on 64-bit ARM Processors (64-bit ARM 프로세서 상에서의 블록암호 PIPO 병렬 최적 구현)

  • The lightweight block cipher PIPO announced at ICISC'20 has been effectively implemented by applying the bit slice technique. In this paper, we propose a parallel optimal implementation of PIPO for ARM processors. The proposed implementation enables parallel encryption of 8-plaintexts and 16-plaintexts. The implementation targets the A10x fusion processor. On the target processor, the existing reference PIPO code has performance of 34.6 cpb and 44.7 cpb in 64/128 and 64/256 standards. Among the proposed methods, the general implementation has a performance of 12.0 cpb and 15.6 cpb in the 8-plaintexts 64/128 and 64/256 standards, and 6.3 cpb and 8.1 cpb in the 16-plaintexts 64/128 and 64/256 standards. Compared to the existing reference code implementation, the 8-plaintexts parallel implementation for each standard has about 65.3%, 66.4%, and the 16-plaintexts parallel implementation, about 81.8%, and 82.1% better performance. The register minimum alignment implementation shows performance of 8.2 cpb and 10.2 cpb in the 8-plaintexts 64/128 and 64/256 specifications, and 3.9 cpb and 4.8 cpb in the 16-plaintexts 64/128 and 64/256 specifications. Compared to the existing reference code implementation, the 8-plaintexts parallel implementation has improved performance by about 76.3% and 77.2%, and the 16-plaintext parallel implementation is about 88.7% and 89.3% higher for each standard.
