  • Some researches insist that, to participate in an e-partnership, a distributor needs a given level of trust to reduce the perceived risk of an e-partnership to his/her own threshold. However, other researches insist that if a distributor has only a given level of trust in his/her suppliers, irrelevant of the perceived risk level, he/she participates in the e-partnership. Thus, from the perspective of a distributor, this study built a trust model in which these two viewpoints were reflected. And then this study examined whether or not perceived risk mediates an influence of trust to e-partnership. The proposed trust model was tested with 265 questionnaires about a distributor-supplier e-partnership in food wholesale markets. The analysis results Indicated that perceived risk partially had a mediating effect between trust and e-partnership Intention. That is, of the two risk types, only perceived performance risk mediated an influence from competence trust to e-partnership intention. Relational risk did not play a mediating role between goodwill trust and e-partnership intention. This result Implies two managerial meanings. First, a distributor Intends to engage In e-partnership with his/her supplier, irrelevant of relational risk's level if goodwill trust level surpasses his/her own threshold. Thus, suppliers should concentrate more effort in developing goodwill trust than in reducing relational risk. To develop goodwill trust, they should endeavor to establish mutual interests and individual trust with their distributor, and to utilize institutional trust bases. Second, a distributor requires a certain competence In his/her suppliers to sufficiently reduce performance risk caused bye-partnership. Thus, to develop competence trust in e-partnership, suppliers should improve on any lack of competence and build a good reputation.

  • The Internet allows firms to serve customers more effectively than ever before. In the B2C context, we examine the interrelationships among information privacy concerns, e-trust, and e-loyalty. The authors extend prior research by incorporating constructs of information privacy concerns into a more holistic conceptual framework. This study answers three research questions: Will the three components of information privacy concerns have a significant effect on e-loyalty through e-trust?, Does e-trust mediate e-loyalty?, Finally, do switching costs have a moderation effect between e-trust and e-loyalty?, The authors examine data from customers who have booked hotel accommodations online. The results support our hypotheses and confirm both the mediation role of e-trust and the moderation role of switching costs. Conceptually, this study provides an empirical validation of information privacy concerns, e-trust, and loyalty linkage. On the managerial level, this research provides insights into critical drivers of loyalty in the emerging online marketplace.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to setup a integrated model and verify the integrated model for a customer loyalty in the internet shopping environments. The results of a structural equation model (SEM) using AMOS and LISREL include: First, hypothesis that Internet environment characteristics in outside factors has a positive effect on satisfaction, trust and commitment is partially supported. However, mutual communication to satisfaction, community to commitment and open-ubiquity to trust did not reveal a positive effect. Second, hypothesis that Internet showing mall environment has a positive effect on satisfaction is partially supported. However, transaction to commitment and transaction to trust did not reveal a positive effect. Third, hypothesis that relational benefits has a positive effect on both satisfaction and commitment is partially supported. However, confident honest to commitment and economic honest to trust did not reveal a positive effect. Forth, satisfaction trust and commitment have a strong effect upon loyalty. Fifth, satisfaction has a positive effect on trust and commitment. However, trust did not show a positive effect on commitment. Outside factors(Internet environment characteristics, showing mall characteristics, and relational benefit) partially revealed a positive effect on satisfaction trust, and commitment. Mediating variables such as satisfaction, trust, and commitment again have positive effect on loyalty. But, the relationship for trust to commitment did not reveal the significant effect in this study while other studies revealed significant effect.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate what factors influence a major role in building trust on Internet shopping mall and to examine whether these factors on trust have differences between Korean and Chinese users. Based on relevant literature review, this study posits six factors of transaction security, perceived reputation, Perceived size, interactivity, propensity of trust, and familiarity as key determinants of trust in internet shopping mall. Analysis of 470 responses(Korean: 320 users, Chinese: 150 users) of survey questionnaire indicates the following; First, in terms of the relationship between influencing factors and the trust, five factors of transaction security, perceived reputation, perceived size, interactivity, and propensity to trust have a significant positive effects on the trust. Second, the differences between Korean and Chinese users are transaction security, perceived size, and familiarity. In conclusions, we suggested the factors to create user trust in internet shopping mall. Also we suggested differences in the determinant factors between Korean and Chinese users, and discussed some policies to build the trust in each user types.

  • The aim of this research is to examine the impact of trust in reviews. Expertise, enjoyment, recency, and usefulness-four aspects of reviews-are designated as independent variables, and trust in reviews has been chosen as the mediating variable. The dependent variables are trust in firms and trust in products. For explaining the flow of trust, this study uses the theory of Trust Transfer. The study's findings demonstrated that customer trust in a product leads to consumer trust in a company, which is derived from trust in reviews. Reviews were found to be important from a practical standpoint. Furthermore, it was discovered that a product's category or features would have an impact on how reviews are trusted.

  • Recently, the mobile social networks, which consider both social relationship between users and mobile communication networks, have been received great attention. In this paper, we consider the trust degree of node as the social relationship for the cooperative communication networks. In contrast to the existing works that consider the case of the perfect trust degree information, for the case that transmitter has an imperfect trust degree information, we propose an imperfect trust degree based cooperative communication technique that maximizes a throughput. We first model the imperfect trust degree information as a probability distribution and derive the outage probability using the probability distribution. Then, we propose the transmission scheme that maximizes the throughput, which consider both outage probability and transmission rate. The simulation results show that the proposed cooperative transmission scheme outperforms the conventional scheme in terms of the throughput.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between information quality, Online Travel Agency (OTA) trust, and continuous usage intention provided by OTA through the application of the SOR(Stimulus-Organism-Response) model. To achieve the purpose of the study, 234 responses were used for analysis, and the hypotheses were tested through the SPSS v.21 program and AMOS v.21 programs. The research results can be classified into the following three categories. First, it was determined that accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness among the factors for information quality had a significant positive effect on OTA trust and continuous usage intention. Second, it was determined that OTA trust was found to have a significant positive effect on continuous usage intention. Third, it was determined that OTA trust had an indirect effect on the relationship between accuracy, timeliness, usefulness, and continuous usage intention among the factors for information quality. This study looked at the lower dimension of information quality, which was insufficient in the field of OTA. This study can be used as basic data to, in practice, build a user-centered informational provision environment by identifying the factors that promote the continuous usage intention of consumers, which is linked to the revenue of online travel agencies.

  • This article proposed the authentication protocol for peer-to-peer resource sharing community. The proposed protocol does not require a priori information for generating and exchanging authentication key. Also this protocol can provide the delicate access control by allowing the user(authenticator) to assign the trust level to the authentication supplicant, which can be used to decide if the resource providing node will accept the resource sharing request from a resource requesting node. Trust Relationship Chaining provides the environment where trust levels (included in the trust table) of nodes in the resource sharing community are propagated among nodes when trust tables are exchanged between two nodes engaged in mutual authentication process and authentication refresh so that any two nodes which are not directly mutual-authenticated can assign the trust level each other for the access control for resource sharing. In the proposed protocol a node can implements the authentication refresh continuously to verify the effectiveness of authentication after mutual authentication so that the authentication of new node or authentication revocation(effectiveness cancellation) of the departed node can be propagated to the all the nodes in RSC and eventually safe resource sharing community is configured.
