The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effect of informatization level between characteristics of introducing information system and organizational performance in hospital settings, and to provide suggestions to improve the performance level of strategic information system of hospitals. In order to achieve study purpose, a causal path model was developed and empirically tested. Data were collected from 746 managers of 92 hospitals keeping information system in Busan, Ulsan and Kyungnam Province using self-administered structured questionnaire. Major results of this study were as follows; The results of the path analysis showed that organizational characteristics variables except informatization strength within health industry had significant effects on informatization level, and had indirect effects on organizational performance mediated by informatization level. On the other hand, informatization level, especially revelation capability among informatization level variables, was found to have significant direct effect on organizational performance. These results of empirical test imply that informatization level variables are both important affecting factors on organizational performance and mediating factors between organizational characteristics and organizational performance. Therefore, in order to increase organizational performance, measures improving informatization level should be developed and carried out continuously. And, especially, focusing on building and strengthening revelation capability is crucial to those efforts.

The balanced scorecard has drawn attention from many researchers in various fields since its appearance in 1992. It became a norm for performance evaluation framework in many areas, such as marketing, information system evaluation, strategic planning, etc. Centered in the large companies in Korea, the balanced scorecard has been popularly used as a performance evaluation tool for human resource management. Now we Question its applicability to performance evaluation tool even in small business. This study tried to apply the balanced scorecard in developing an information system for performance evaluation in a small business. The study showed that the balanced scorecard can be nicely used in small business as a performance evaluation tool. The process of developing an information system is described in detail. The practitioners are to obtain a lot of insights in designing their human resource management systems from the study results.

Cloud computing systems' performance is still a central focus of research for determining optimal resource utilization. Running several existing benchmarks simultaneously serves to acquire performance information from specific cloud system resources. However, the complexity of monitoring the existing performance of computing systems is a challenge requiring an efficient and interactive user directing performance-monitoring system. In this paper, we propose an effective multivariate control framework for monitoring cloud systems performance. The proposed framework utilizes the hardware cloud systems performance metrics, collects and displays the performance measurements in terms of meaningful graphics, stores the graphical information in a database, and provides the data on-demand without requiring a third party software. We present performance metrics in terms of CPU usage, RAM availability, number of cloud active machines, and number of running processes on the selected machines that can be monitored at a high control level by either using a cloud service customer or a cloud service provider. The experimental results show that the proposed framework is reliable, scalable, precise, and thus outperforming its counterparts in the field of monitoring cloud performance.

According to the development of new Information Technologies, firms consistently invest a significant amount of money in IT activities, such as establishing internal and external information systems. However, several anti-Information activities-such as hacking, leakage of information and system destruction-are also rapidly increasing, thus many firms are exposed to direct and indirect threats. Therefore, firms try to establish information security systems and manage these systems more effectively via an enterprise perspective. However, stakeholders or some managers have negative opinions about information security systems. Therefore, in this research, we study the relationship between multibusiness firms' performance and information security systems. Information security indicates physical and logical correspondence of information system department against threats and disaster. Studies on information security systems suggested frameworks such as IT Governance Cube and COBIT Framework to identify information security systems. Thus, this study define that information security systems is a controlled system on enterprise IT process and resource on IT Governance perspective rather than independent domain of IT. Thus, Information Security Systems should be understood as a subordinate concept of IT and business processes. In addition, this study incorporates information capability to information security system literature to show the positive relationship between Information Security Systems and Corporate Performance. The concept of information capability suggested that an interaction of human, information, technical and an effect on corporate performance using three types of capability (IT Practice, Information Management Practice, Information Behaviors and Values). Information capability is about firms' capability to manage IT infrastructure and information as well as individual employees who use IT infrastructure and information. Thus, this study uses information capability as a mediating variable for the relationship between information security systems and firms' performance. To investigate the relationship between Information Security Systems and multibusiness firms' performance, this study extends the IT relatedness concept into Information Security Systems. IT relatedness provides understanding of how corporations cope with conflicts between headquarters and business units to create a synergy effect and achieve high performance using IT resources. Based on the previous literature, this study develops the IT Security Relatedness model. IT Security Relatedness is our main independent variable, while Information Capability and Information Security Performance are mediating variables. To control for the common method bias, we collect each multibusiness firm's financial performance and use it as our dependent variable. We find that Information Security Systems influence Information Capability and Information Security Performance positively, and these two variables consequently influence Corporate Performance positively. In addition, this result indirectly shows that corporations under a multibusiness environment can obtain synergy effects using the integrated Information Security Systems. This positive impact of Information Security Systems on multibusiness firms' performance has an important implication to various stakeholders. Therefore, multibusiness firms need to establish Information Security Systems to achieve better financial performance.

The study investigated the indicators for information service system performance measurement through the review on the related literatures, and developed 16 indicators for the performance measurement in 4 areas of library visit, lending, reference service and user instruction, and electronic service. And then with the indicators, the study surveyed 6 academic libraries including each 2 of large, middle, and small sized academic libraries. Based on the survey results, the study made a proposal for the application of performance indicator and the improvement of information service system performance.

In this study, empirical studies are conducted not only to investigate the effect of the quality of accounting information system on management performance but also to study whether user satisfaction and education training achievement play a mediating role in the relationship between the quality factors of accounting information system and management performance. To this end, a research model is established to verify the mediating effects of user satisfaction and education training achievement as well as the effect of the quality of accounting information system on management performance. We conduct a questionnaire survey on users of accounting information system of companies. The results of the empirical analysis based on the survey data are summarized as follows. First, the quality of information system has a positive effect on educational performance and user satisfaction, but not on business performance. Second, user satisfaction and education training performance play a mediating role in the relationship between the quality of information system and management performance. The results of our research show that it is necessary to educate and to train the employees in order to make the accounting information systeme to contribute management performance and to control continuously the quality of the information system in order to improve user satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting of hospital information system quality factors on user satisfaction and service innovation performance in general hospitals. Using 5-point Likert scale, survey was performed on 250 nurses on hospital information system quality, user satisfaction, and service innovation performance. Data were analyzed by t=test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis using SPSS WIN 24.0 program. The results showed that significant correlation between service innovation performance and independent variables was seen in system quality (r=0.644, p<.001), information quality (r=0.650, p<.001), service quality (r=0.629, p<0.001) and user satisfaction (r=0.831, p<.001). User satisfaction was a moderating variable between hospital information system quality and service innovation performance with explanatory power of 78.4%. Higher user satisfaction (B=0.557, p<.001) showed positive correlation with greater service innovation performance. Investigating the mediating role of user satisfaction between EMR quality and service innovation performance, it is suggested that importance of system quality, user friendly system support and service.

While the value of information technology has long been a hot issue, few solid results have been found as of yet. It is partly due to methodological factors and model underspecifcation. This study empirically develops a ITS(information technology structure) taxonomy and investigates the relationships between ITS taxonomy and business performance in the Korean firms. Among factors that impact business performance, organization structure and control system are selected and they are hypothesized to moderate-the relationships between ITS taxonomy and business performance. By surveying 91 manufacturing firms and applying hierarchical cluster analysis, four ITS are identified : centralized, decentralized, centralized cooperative, decentralized cooperative. ANOVA, correlation analysis and crosstable analysis say the presence of moderating effect of organization structure and control system. Cooperative ITS is best in business performance. Centralized ITS is related to functional organizational form. Decentralized ITS is related to product organizational form with decentralized decision making, Centralized cooperative ITS is related to matrix organizational form. Decentralized cooperative ITS is related to matrix organizational form with high integration. These findings have implications for the opportunities and challenges to match information technology with organization structure and control system.

In a dynamic business environment, the enterprise mobility solution for a mobile office (EMS) has been adopted to increase the competitive edge of organizations. By using an EMS, performance is expected to be enhanced. However, the related literature has paid little interest to the impact of system quality in an EMS on the information quality produced by the system. On the basis of socio-technical theory, we posited that the system quality in an EMS influences information quality. In addition, we investigated the relationships between the above two qualities, use and job performance by considering task mobility and task inter-dependence as control variables. Survey respondents were from many industries using EMSs. The result of structural equation modeling shows that system quality positively affects information quality, and other relationships in the model are proven statistically significant. We also found that system quality has stronger impacts on use and job performance than information quality does in EMS. However, system quality does not affect use in case both task mobility and task inter-dependence exist. The theoretical and practical implications of the result are discussed in the paper.

It is needed to evaluate information systems actively which has already developed to improve future performance of the organization and foster the activation of information system. The introduction or development of information system also can bring about a organizational success. To measure exactly the organizational performance of information systems, it is needed to develop a new valuation model for a specific information system from a objective pint of view, as well as to equip a standard methodology using BSC measurement. The information system valuation from a objective point of view is of importance as the basic information for the decision to obtain information system. This paper takes aim at investigating a new information system valuation model and developing a information system valuation system using case-based reasoning for predicting currency value of information system in each organization. A new information system valuation system is developed as a web-enabling base. Using this, users are able to estimate the value of specific information system on a real time efficiently.
