본 연구에서는 Kuhlthau의 ISP 모형을 토대로 청소년의 정보탐색과정에 대한 인식과 그 과정에서 경험하는 불안감과 중재의 필요성을 조사하고, 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 각 요인의 관계를 분석하였다. 또한 실험집단을 대상으로 스캐폴딩 전략을 적용한 수업을 전개하여 그 효과성을 검증하였다. 주요 연구 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정보탐색과정(ISP)에서 학습자가 느끼는 불안감과 중재의 필요성을 조사한 결과, 표현 단계에서 불안감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 정보수집, 표현, 평가 단계에서 중재의 필요성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 정보탐색과정(ISP)에서 학습자가 느끼는 불안감과 중재의 필요성을 각 변인을 통제하여 조사한 결과, 학년별(1학년과 2학년), 지역별(수도권과 강원권) 차이가 일부 확인되었다. 셋째, 통제집단과 실험집단을 대상으로 대응표본 t-검정과 공분산 분석을 실시한 결과, 실험집단의 불안감과 중재의 필요성이 통계적으로 유의하게 감소한 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 정보탐색과정에 적합한 스캐폴딩 전략을 교육 현장에 적용하기 위한 실제적인 근거를 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

21세기 지식정보사회에서 정보활용능력은 필수적으로 갖추어야 하는 능력이다. 정보활용능력의 중요성에 대한 인식이 전세계적으로 확산되면서 미국, 영국, 호주를 중심으로 정보활용능력 표준 및 교육 프로그램의 개발 시행을 위한 노력이 확산되고 있다. 이러한 시류에 따라 본 연구에서는 국내외 정보활용능력 표준들을 바탕으로 대학생이 갖추어야 할 핵심 정보활용능력 요소를 추출하고, 추출된 핵심요소와 Kuhlthau의 Information Search Process Model(이후 ISP 모델)을 접목시켜 대학 정보활용능력 교육과정 모델을 개발하였다. 교육과정 모델은 현장적용성을 고려하여 대학교육의 구조와 유사한 강의교안으로 표현되었으며, 6가지 정보활용능력 핵심요소를 주요 교육내용으로 설정하고, ISP 모델의 단계를 따라 교육내용을 구성하였다. 개발된 교육과정 모델을 토대로 정보활용능력 교육의 확산과 발전을 위한 많은 후속연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

본 연구에서는 학습 과정의 중재 역할에 대한 설계 및 구현 전략을 제시한 Kuhlthau의 ISP 모형을 활용하여 정보탐색과정에 적용할 수 있는 스캐폴딩 전략을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 관련 문헌을 검토하여 스캐폴딩 전략을 범주화하고, 대전지역의 중학생 150명을 대상으로 ISP 모형 기반의 스캐폴딩 전략을 적용한 프로젝트 수업을 시행한 후, 이에 대한 소감문 텍스트를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 전처리 과정을 거쳐 분석에 적합한 형태로 가공한 후 단어 빈도를 추출하고, STM(Structural Topic Modeling)을 활용하여 토픽 분석을 수행하였다. 먼저, 최적의 토픽 개수를 결정하고 ISP 모형 각 단계별로 토픽을 추출한 후 추출된 토픽을 인지적 영역-거시적 관점, 인지적 영역-미시적 관점, 정서적 영역 관점의 3가지 유형으로 구분하였다. 이 과정에서 텍스트마이닝을 통해 추출한 단어 가운데 인지동사와 감정동사를 중점적으로 살펴보았으며, 대표 문서 사례를 검토하여 각 토픽과 관련된 스캐폴딩 전략 모형을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 정보탐색과정(ISP) 단계에서 적절한 스캐폴딩 전략이 제공된다면, 학습자들의 자기 주도적 과제해결에 긍정적인 영향을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

There exist a number of information systems planning(ISP) methodologies. As the level of market competition gets intensified, firms are more likely to engage in organizational transformations such as BPR and CPI(continuous process improvement). Because this new requirement should be incorporated into ISP methodology, the number of ISP methodologies available will be continually increasing. However, we could not find a framework for understanding and classifying these divergent methodologies. So, we here present a framework for classifying ISP methodology classes. With this framework, we categorize different classes of ISP methodologies and identify their limitations in terms of missing elements and links. And we move on to present new technical innovations and other methodological advances that, if properly integrated with ISP methodologies, would help us derive an IT infrastructure plan more effectively. Furthermore, in search of software tools or aids supporting the application of ISP methodologies, we identify requirements of ISP-supporting software tools and evaluate functions of existing software tools, then suggesting a future direction to that end.

본 연구는 그룹 연구 과제를 수행하는 과정에서 게시된 온라인 토론 게시물을 분석하여, 그룹원들의 협동적 정보행태를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 Kuhlthau의 ISP 모형과 Yue와 He의 CIB 모형을 기반으로 대학원생들의 그룹 연구 과제 수행에서 나타나는 협동적 정보행태와 정서적 측면, 필요로 하는 협동 및 지원유형의 관계를 연구하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 그룹 연구 과제에서의 협동적 정보행태에 대한 이해에 도움을 주며, 협동적 정보 이용자를 위한 정보활용능력 교육에 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

There is an explosion of talk about crucial, new literacies for the 21st Century, for example critical thinking, problem-solving, media literacy, technology literacy, digital literacy, visual literacy. The other day, there was even an article about "gaming literacy!" How does one make sense of it all? The common factor in all these literacies is "information" - information seeking, information use, information processing, information presentation, and information evaluation. And, these "information" elements come together in information literacy: the ability to engage in effective and efficient information problem-solving. Information literacy is the overarching and unifying literacy, and all libraries have a unique and essential role to play in delivering meaningful information literacy programs to people of all ages. In this keynote paper and address, Professor and Dean Emeritus Mike Eisenberg will define the concept and structure of library-based information literacy programs and offer strategies for developing and implementing information literacy programs that are comprehensive(reaching all users), predictable (consistent over time), and accountable(measured and reported).
