Implementation of Search Engine to Minimize Traffic Using Blockchain-Based Web Usage History Management System

  • With the recent increase in the types of services provided by Internet companies, collection of various types of data has become a necessity. Data collectors corresponding to web services profit by collecting users' data indiscriminately and providing it to the associated services. However, the data provider remains unaware of the manner in which the data are collected and used. Furthermore, the data collector of a web service consumes web resources by generating a large amount of web traffic. This traffic can damage servers by causing service outages. In this study, we propose a website search engine that employs a system that controls user information using blockchains and builds its database based on the recorded information. The system is divided into three parts: a collection section that uses proxy, a management section that uses blockchains, and a search engine that uses a built-in database. This structure allows data sovereigns to manage their data more transparently. Search engines that use blockchains do not use internet bots, and instead use the data generated by user behavior. This avoids generation of traffic from internet bots and can, thereby, contribute to creating a better web ecosystem.

검색결과 역배열 제시를 통한 순서 기반 정보탐색 유형 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on Click Patterns in Information Exploration)

  • 일반적으로 검색엔진은 이용자가 검색하고자 하는 내용의 정보를 제공하는 사이트를 우선 탐색할 수 있도록 검색결과의 주요내용을 요약하여 이용자에게 제공하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이용자의 검색 결과 클릭이 검색 엔진에서 제공하는 요약 내용 기반으로 진행되는 것인지 검색결과 배치 순서에 기인한 것인지를 검색 결과 역배열 제시를 통한 실증 연구 결과를 제시하였다. 검색엔진 업체에서 제공하는 API를 활용하여 검색결과를 정배열과 역배열로 제시해 주는 검색사이트를 제작하여 각 이용자들의 검색결과에 대한 클릭 행동을 실제 클릭 순서와 클릭 위치, 클릭 수, 검색결과 내에서의 페이지 간 이동경로 등과 같은 이용자 검색 유형을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 대부분의 이용자들은 검색결과 정배열 또는 역배열 제시와 상관없이 첫 번째와 두 번째 노출된 검색 결과를 우선 클릭하는 이용자가 60% 이상 차지하였다. 이는 검색 결과 요약 내용과 상관없이 검색 결과 배치 순서에 따라 이용자의 정보탐색 우선순위가 결정되는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • Shipping industry continues to face dramatic changes in its environment ranging from development in containerization, computerization and telecommunications to the emergence of global marketplace. Perhaps the most significant trend - representing both a threat and opportunity - is the increasingly competitive nature of shipping service market. In order for the shipping companies to cope with those improvements and challenges, they should analyze and clarify customer's DM(decision making) process for the purchase of container shipping service. The major research findings from the study were found as follows; 1) The degree of shipper's involvement in purchasing shipping services was found to be a discriminating variable affecting the information sources consisting of personal and non-personal information sources. 2) The positive relationship was found between the experiences on shipping services and non-personal information sources. 3) It was observed that as people had more experience searching for information, the more in depth their searches became. 4) There existed a positive relationship between knowledges on shipping services and information search. 5) According to the SEM analysis, the shipper's information search on shipping services was also found to have a great influence on the shipper's purchasing behavior. The shipper's search was resulted in positive customer satisfaction.

A Study on Visual Behavior for Presenting Consumer-Oriented Information on an Online Fashion Store

  • Growth in online channels has created fierce competition; consequently, retailers have to invest an increasing amount of effort into attracting consumers. In this study, eye-tracking technology examined consumers' visual behavior to gain an understanding of information searching behavior in exploring product information for fashion products. Product attribute information was classified into two image-based elements (model image information and detail image information) and two text-based elements (basic text information, detail text information), after which consumers' visual behavior for each information element was analyzed. Furthermore, whether involvement affects consumers' information search behavior was investigated. The results demonstrated that model image information attracted visual attention the quickest, while detail text information and model image information received the most visual attention. Additionally, high-involvement consumers tended to pay more attention to detailed information while low-involvement consumers tended to pay more attention to image-based and basic information. This study is expected to help broaden the understanding of consumer behavior and provide implications for establishing strategies on how to efficiently organize product information for online fashion stores.

20~30대 남성의 화장품 관여유형에 따른 정보탐색과 구매행동특성 (Men's information search and purchasing behavior related to cosmetic involvement focusing on Korean men in their 20s and 30s)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of the information searches and purchasing behavior Korean men in their 20s and 30s, focusing on cosmetic involvement. Research methods consisted of qualitative and quantitative approaches. For the qualitative approach, in-depth interviews and participant observations were conducted to investigate male customers' cosmetic characteristics in information searches and purchasing behavior. Then, the study conducted a quantitative study methodology based on the questionnaires from the in-depth interviews, participant observations, and literature review. The study surveyed 340 Korean men in their 20s and 30s. The cosmetic involvement of the target group was classified into the amusing high-involvement group, the rational low-involvement group, and the obligatory high-involvement group. The results from this study indicated that the groups of male customers classified by cosmetic involvement showed statistically significant differences in terms of information searches and purchasing behaviors. Especially, the obligatory high-involvement group generally displayed high-involvement traits likewise the amusing high-involvement, was more similar to the rational low-involvement group regarding cost effectiveness than the obligatory high-involvement group. Moreover, the classifications of men generally had different characteristics of cosmetic purchasing behavior and information searches than women. This study has a distinctive significance compared with other studies in discovering differences of cosmetic purchasing behaviors of Korean men in their 20s and 30s' cosmetic involvement groups classified using qualitative and quantitative approaches.

  • 최근 인터넷을 통한 제품구매가 점차 다양화되고 있음에도 불구하고 전통적인 오프라인과 비교해 상대적으로 인터넷을 통한 정보탐색과 구매 선호도가 높은 제품유형에 관한 체계적인 이해는 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 제품구매 시 제품에 대한 소비자의 위험지각이 온라인 오프라인, 온-오프라인으로 구분되는 정보탐색유형을 통한 탐색행동에 미치는 영향에 관해 살펴보았다. 특히, 제품유형을 탐색-경험-신뢰재로 구분하여 제품에 대한 위험지각과 정보탐색 사이의 관계가 제품에 대한 지식수준에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지를 실증분석을 통해 밝히고자 하였다. 분석결과, 지식수준이 낮은 경우에는 경험재와 신뢰재에서 위험지각이 높아질수록 온라인-오프라인을 통해 많은 정보를 탐색하는 것으로 나타났으며, 지식수준이 높은 경우에는 탐색재에서 위험지각이 높을수록 온라인을 통해 많은 정보를 탐색하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 제품관련 업체는 물론 온라인 및 오프라인 유통업체들에게 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

지리적 표시제에 대한 관심이 농산물 가격변화 예측에 미치는 영향 연구 : 사과를 사례로 (Influence of Interests in Geographical Indication on the Prediction of Price Change of Agricultural Product : Case of Apples)

  • Geographical Indication (GI) has been used with the expectation to influence customer buying behavior. In this research, we empirically investigate if such relationship exists using apple price changes in Korea along with web search traffic reflecting customers' interest in GI. The experimental results indicate that the apple price of the past, apple supply and web search traffic including GI name were significant on the prediction of price change of Chungju while web search traffic of regional name and that of product were significant for Cheongsong apples with GI. In Yeongcheon with no GI, the apple price of the past turns out to be significant only. The results indicated that interests in GI can help the price prediction but the regional name itself can play the same role, if the GI product is well known in association with the region.

  • 본 연구는 상표자산의 구성요소에 대한 선행요인을 분석하고 이를 토대로 하여 상표자산 구성요소와 상표자산 영향요인간의 관계 그리고 상표자산 구성요소와 구매의도간의 관계를 규명하고 한국과 영국을 중심으로 비교하여 상표자산관리 방안을 도출해보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 정보탐색은 제품지식에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 상표태도와 상표지식은 상표 충성도와 상표 가치에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 상표충성도와 상표가치는 구매의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 정보원천의 경우, 한국에서는 제품지식에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고 있는 반면, 영국에서는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

온라인목록 이용자의 주제탐색행태에 관한 연구 (A Study on User's Subject Searching Behavior in an OPAC)

  • 본 연구는 이용자들이 온라인목록을 주제탐색용으로 사용할 때 어떠한 탐색행태특성을 나타내는지를 조사하고자 하였다. 101명에게 한 건의 주제탐색문제를 제시하고 그들의 탐색수행 과정을 관찰하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 주제탐색을 위해 사용한 주요 탐색의 접근점은 주제필드$(55.2\%)$와 서명필드$(42.2\%)$로서 그 차이는 크지 않았다. 2)주제탐색에서의 탐색실패율은 $59.3\%$로 나타났다. 3)탐색실패의 원인은 부적절한 탐색어사용$(0.5\%)$과 불리안논리자를 기용하지 않은$(42.5\%)$ 결과로 들어났다. 4) 탐색실패에 대처하는 방안으로 탐색어변경$(42.0\%)$이나 탐색 대상필드 변경$(33.8\%)$ 방법이 가장 많이 시도되었다.

간호 대학생의 건강정보추구행동이 건강증진행위실천에 미치는 영향 (Influence on Health Promotion Behavior among Nursing students according to Health Information Seeking Behavior)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting health promotion behavior among nursing students according to health information seeking behavior. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey and questionnaires were collected from 240 nursing students who have studied in nursing colleges located in "J" province. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, $Scheff{\grave{e}}$ test, Pearson Correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: In Model I, general characteristics influenced of 17.6% of health promotion behavior factors. Health status, selection criteria and frequency of information search were statistically useful as influencing of health promotion behavior factors. In addition, in model II health information seeking behavior influenced of 18.1% of health promotion behavior factors. Conclusion: The results indicate that the health information seeking behaviors proved the influence on health promotion behavior of nursing students.
