We propose a structure for implementation to provide ABR service in ATM-LAN consisting of ATM routers and ATM switches. ATM routers are constructed by installing ATM interface block with ABR capability for this purpose. The structure for EFCI, the basic function in ATM switches to support ABR service, is also proposed. Finally the testing procedure after implementation is provided to verify the conformity of the implemented systems.

I would like to investigate current status of Energy compliance about IT products through out world wide because there are some issues about energy saving. And this paper will suggest the new guidance for development for new control standards which could be fulfill to rule of domestic and overseas. So this paper will be satisfied to IT companies and related component's vendors via the provision of new guidance for energy saving which could be the new trade barrier globally.

BcN은 현존하는 다양한 유무선 통신 망과 앞으로 도래할 새로운 액세스 망이 공통된 IP 기반의 전달 망을 중심으로 통합되는 시스템으로, 서비스 측면에 있어서도 유무선의 유기적인 결합 및 통신과 방송의 융합 등을 목표로 하는 유비쿼터스 통신 환경을 제공하고자 한다. 이러한 이종 액세스 망이 상호 연동하는 BcN 통신 환경에서, 단일 망만을 고려하여 개발된 특정 QoS 기술을 통하여 QoS를 보장하는 것은 많은 어려움이 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 BcN 시스템에 적합한 적응형 QoS 제공 방법을 제안하고자 한다.

The key feature of GMPLS is the provision of network resources and the automatic set-up of a path. And the mechanism of protection and restoration of a path is presented when network component fails. This paper suggests CR-LDP Static Detour Mechanism and Dynamic Detour Mechanism. CR-LDP Detours are a mechanism to set up detour paths automatically at every node to protect working path. Hence suggested mechanism performance is compared with existing mechanisms by computer simulation.

Service provision and consumption platforms are more and more used to enable communication between sensors, actuators and intelligent devices, since they provide mechanisms that make possible the combination of components to create composed services. However, these kinds of platforms have limitations to adapt themselves to new and unknown devices. In this work we analyze the challenge of component or bundle communication by using the Open Services Gateway Initiative (OSGi) technology and we propose three mechanisms with the aim of contributing to flexible component communication: Common Service, Specific Service and WSIF Web Service Invocation. We provide these solutions with some architectural models and validate them through different example services. Finally we compare them regarding performance, flexibility and application complexity.

본 논문에서는 시장 도입단계에 있는 무선 LAN 서비스가 본격적으로 시장성장을 이루기 위한 통신사업자의 시장개발전략 방향을 제시하였다 이를 위한 선행작업으로써 무선 LAN 시장규모 핀 전망을 살펴보았고 포터(M. Porter)의 산업분석 모형을 통해 국내 무선 LAN의 산업구조와 시장 성장동인을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 도출된 통신사업자의 시장개발전략을 살펴보면, 1) 신규 통신서비스 성공 및 실패사례를 벤치마킹하고 2) 브리징 통신서비스의 특성에 적합한 전략을 적극적으로 반영하며 3) 고객지향적인 서비스의 개발 및 마케팅전략이 필요하다. 또한 4) 시장성장 동인을 바탕으로 기회요인은 강화하고 위협 요인은 조기에 해결해야 하며 5) 가치전달시스템내의 참여기업들간의 상호적인 협력과 제휴를 중요시 해야한다. 이와 같은 무선 LAN 시장개발의 전략적 방향설정은 통신사업자들에게 마케팅과 서비스 개발에 있어서 전략적인 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

When users access to use the computing resources in the cloud, they expect specific quality of service (QoS) which should be guaranteed by the service provider. Meanwhile, the service provider should adopt proper schemes to enhance the resource utilization. In this thesis, we propose the MapChem-Broker which aims to satisfy users' QoS requirements as well as enhance the resource utilization by controlling the provision of VM resources in the cloud. On the experimental cloud testbed, we compare the proposed scheme with an existing one for VM resource provisioning. Results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing one.

Adaptive bitrate streaming is a crucial element in the implementation of high-quality streaming of media content over the Internet. Dynamic adaptive streaming over HTTP (MPEG-DASH) has lately emerged as the de facto solution for over-the-top (OTT) video streaming services. In this paper, we perform macro-level analysis on a real-world MPEG-DASH-based Internet live broadcasting service to gain insight into its behavior throughout the end-to-end service-provision chain, from broadcasters to viewers. Based on this analysis, we propose methods to improve the quality-of-experience (QoE) of MPEG-DASH-based services, particularly with regard to reducing broadcasting delays between recording and viewing of videos, as well as synchronizing client terminals.

The growth in number and efficiency of smart devices such as GPS enabled smart phones and PDAs present an unparalleled opportunity for diverse areas of life. However extraction of GPS traces for provision of services demand a huge storage space as well as computation overhead. This is a challenging task especially for the applications which provide runtime services. In this paper we provide a simplified model to extract GPS traces of moving objects at runtime. Road segment partitioning and measure of deviation in angle of trajectory path is incorporated to identify the significant data points. The number of these data points is minimized by our proposed approach in an efficient manner to overwhelm the storage and computation overhead. Further, the competent reconstruction of complete itinerary based on gathered data, is also ensured by proposed method.

LTE is the outstanding technology to transfer the data and voice. LTE consists of several nodes to transfer data. In case of the failure in the node of LTE, it could not support the service. So telecommunication-providers set up the back-up system for the simultaneous service-provision. But there is still the problem it comes to the network. Even though there is a back-up system, it would be useless the network is down. We propose the scheme to support the service in the case of this network problem in the LTE network. This scheme reduces 23% load in the LTE network in the case of the HSS node's failure or the network to the HSS nodes.
