Development of Mobile Application based on ICF(International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health) for Provision of Assistive Devices for People with Disabilities (ICF를 활용한 효과적인 장애인 재활보조기기 신청 모바일 어플리케이션 개발)

  • This study is aimed to introduce the newly developed mobile application for effective provision of assistive devices for people with disabilities in South Korea. By combining of ICF code and ISO 9999 code, more effective way of searching user fit assistive device information and selecting appropriate assistive devices were possible. 10 people with visual impairment were recruited for an usability testing. For the data analysis, paired t-test were used and confidence interval was 95%. The result showed newly developed mobile application was more effective in comparison with on-line based assistive device information. The outcome of this study will enhance the provision of assistive devices for people with disabilities more effectively within better user understanding of their needs and compensate for their body function as well as environmental barriers.

  • As data broadcasting has become available, diverse contents can now be provided through digital TV, IPTV and DMB; yet it is true in the current situation that killer contents are insufficient that can satisfy users. On the contrary, in case of the web, with the advent of web 2.0 aiming at user-centered services, the contents market has grown greatly. The ideas and technologies of Web 2.0, if gratified into data broadcasting, are expected to make a contribution to the vitalization of contents. This paper proposes a method of using RSS, as a concrete example of applying web 2.0 to data broadcasting. Accordingly, we have developed a system for producing data services for the ground wave DMB data broadcasting, by using RSS at the stage of authoring news and the like, for which provision of the latest information is important. And for IPTV, we have developed a data broadcasting application so that users can select the RSS they want, as well as a creation system for using RSS at the authoring stage. It is anticipated that the application of RSS by means of the system will simplify the authoring process, making easy the provision of the latest information through the web, and thereby making possible the provision of diverse services to users.

A Cost-Effective WDM-PON Architecture for Dynamic Resource Provision (자원의 동적 능력 향상을 위한 경제적인 WDM-PON 구조)

  • WDM-PON has been receiving much attention as a key technology to FTTH. As the cost of WDM-PON heavily depends on the number of transceivers implemented at ONU, one of its shortcomings comes from the fixed provision of wavelength resource, which is tightly coupled with costly transceivers. In this paper, we propose a cost-effective WDM-PON architecture for dynamic resource provision. The proposed architecture is based on hierarchical grouping of multiple ONUs into a logical group and hierarchical sharing the resource. For high utilization of dynamic resource, the dynamic resource allocation algorithm is also proposed. We analyze the system efficiency in term of dynamism of system resource and system cost. We also verify that the proposed resource allocation algorithm achieves a high dynamism on resource allocation, and at the same time maintains the fairness between ONUs.

A Study on the Information Use Behavior of Academic Researchers Using Archival Institutions (기록관리기관 이용 학술연구자의 정보이용행태 연구)

  • Today's information services in most archival institutions implement the same administrative procedures for general users and academic researchers, leading to issues hindering the latter's research activities. As such, this study presents a direction for the effective provision of information services by investigating and analyzing information sources mainly used by academic researchers, who are one of the major user groups; researchers' use behaviors in archival institutions; and experiences and perceptions on the such institutions' information services. In particular, surveys and interviews were conducted, and 75 questionnaire responses and 8 interview results were analyzed. The results of the analysis were summarized into the researcher's background information, information sources used, behaviors in using archival institutions' services, information service utilization, improvement requirements, and desired services. Through the results' implications, plans for the provision of information services by archival institutions were proposed based on the researchers' needs and preferences.

  • Along with the exponential growth of data businesses, the importance of data containing personal information of use have also increaseing. Particularly, in Korea, as the Data 3 Act was implemented, companies can use personal information more actively through regulatory improvement and stipulation in case of using data containing personal information. In this situation as per the service use, self-sovereign identity technology has emerged that can minimize the provision of personal information in relation to real name authentication and provision of personal information. Recently, services and studies using blockchain have been actively conducted in case of using the self-sovereign identity function for clarity and verification of records according to the use of personal information. In this thesis, by analyzing the characteristics of domestic self-sovereign identity service and the current status and contents of research related to blockchain-based self-sovereign identity technology and we suggest a research direction based on self-sovereign identity technology to reinforce the sovereignty of personal information in the era of the 3rd Data Act do.

  • The empirical AISC panel zone thickness provision$(t_z\geq(d_z+w_z)$/90) to prevent the cyclic shear buckling of the panel zone was proposed based on the test data of Krawinkler et al. (1971) and Bertero et al. (1973) However, no published records of the equation development or any other background information appear to be available. The calibrated finite element analysis results of this study indicated that the AISC provision was not reasonable. In this study, through including the effects of the column axial force and the aspect ratio of the panel zone, a new equation for the relative strength between the beam and the panel zone was proposed such that the proposed equation can prevent the panel zone shear buckling and reduce the potential fracture associated with the kinking of the column flanges.

  • The study on Wholesale pricing of MVNO using two way interconnection charge system is rare. This paper considers MVNO possessing its own facilities and subscribers. While previous studies focus on wholesale provision by MNO, this paper employs another approach from existing MVNO model. This paper introduces two way interconnection charge system by recognizing that mobile network interconnection is important to complete the call from MNO to MVNO as well as the call from MVNO to MNO. Also it is interesting to analyze wholesale pricing when there is brand loyalty between MNO and MVNO. This paper analyzes retail pricing and wholesale pricing under duopoly competition and drives social optimal solutions using linear city model.

  • Purpose: The present research was designed to explore a causal relationship among SNS prosumer characteristics, relationship quality, user satisfaction, and loyalty intention, and we intended to explore mediating role of relationship quality in the causal relationship. Methods: As survey tool, questionnaire that had obtained validity and reliability through literature survey and pretest survey, and sample 214 was analyzed using SEM analysis method. Results: All theoretical relationships, except the relationship between information provision and relational quality, proved to be significant. The relationship quality plays an important intermediary role in the research model. Conclusion: The characteristics of SNS prosumer activity can be summarized by interaction and informational provision. To increase user satisfaction and loyalty, it is necessary to support these characteristics and strengthen relationships with customers.

  • This study aims to analyze users' assessment of electronic libraries in the mobile app market and promote service improvement based on this. To this end, the basic background and purpose of the research, research method, and research scope were first set, and the relevant literature and empirical prior studies were analyzed. Next, users' evaluations of electronic libraries were collected and analyzed from Google Play Store. Based on the results analyzed, measures to improve the quality of electronic libraries were discussed. Based on the results of the study, the following improvement measures are proposed. Need for systemic improvement and stabilization. Provision of applications suitable for multi-device environments. Resumption of services after systematic inspection after updating. Simplification of sign up, log in, and authentication procedures. User support through real-time chat. Introduction of a detailed assessment of reviews. Provision of guidance and user manual for electronic libraries. Improvements to expand user convenience, and Securing differentiation from other similar services.

Quantification of the Value of Freeway VMS Traffic Information (고속도로 VMS 교통정보의 가치산정에 관한 연구)

  • Traffic information provision plays an important role in increasing the efficiency of network operation and in providing convenience for roadway users. As a typical device for disseminating real-time traffic information for collective general public, VMS is a prevalent device nowadays and it is being expanded. However, the actual monetary value of traffic information is not quantified up to now. The previous studies regarding VMS traffic information are mainly focused on the behavioral aspects of road users such as departure time and route choices under traffic information provision conditions. This paper tried to estimate the monetary value of VMS traffic information using discrete choice theory and logit model through the stated preference study(SP). The methodological framework adopted in this paper can also be used in evaluating the monetary value of other traffic information providers including PDA, CNS, and mobile phone.
