  • The organizations and companies establish personal information protection policy under the law and guidelines. They carry out access control without consideration for distinctiveness of the information although the damage degree varies when the information is leaked. Considering the distinctiveness, a policy needs to be made for individuals to protect his personal information. However, he is not able to write the policy because of lack of understanding the system. To write his own policy efficiently, the system that authorizes ones according to service list provided by organizations is necessary. This paper suggests the model and method that write personal policy for his information protection based on the service list provided by organizations. Through this model, fine-grained authorization and policy change are easily made and ultimately the access control customized according to one's own information is possible.

With the implementation of the Data 3 Act, it is possible to establish a fair economic ecosystem by ensuring fair access to data and various uses. In this paper, the law on the protection of personal information, which is the core of the Data 3 Act, was compared around Korea, the European Union and the United States, and the implications were derived through network analysis of keywords.

  • Android includes SEAndroid as a core security feature. SELinux is applied to Android OS as a SEAndroid, because there exists structural differences between Linux and Android. Since the security of SEAndroid depends on the reliable policy if the policy is tampered by the attacker, the serious security problems can be occurred. So we must protect policies which are the most important thing in SEAndoroid. In this paper, we analyze the process of SEAndroid policy updating to find out vulnerabilities and study the attack points on policy tampering. And we propose the SPPA to detect whether the policy is modified by an attacker. Moreover, we prove the performance and the effect of our proposed method on mobile device.

Upcoming so-called 3 data laws would be implemented, it is meaningful to review privacy policy studies for exploring future research direction. For this purpose, the total of 146 journals from 2011 to 2019 were reviewed by the content analysis following as research subjects, methodologies and constructions of studies. As results, the numbers of the researches have been conducted on protection policies themselves for improvement, comparing with other countries' policies and also digital finance information protection were deeply discussed. Some of technology based protection applications were experimented and suggested. The major research characteristics was mainly focused on case analysis and criminal laws and policies were developed as protection contingencies. However, most research objects were focused on the protection regulations, not deregulation, therefore, researchers in future study need to explore more digital industry-centric tasks which are practically applied in safer ways. Further, social agreement in using private information will be an essential to prevent indiscriminate use.

  • In the growing digitalized world, the European Union implemented the General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) to establish a comprehensive data protection framework across member states. Given the constitutional roots of GDPR, the EU's regulatory approach is different than other data protection regimes. The new regulation has strengthened individual rights to data protection, but it also introduced several obligations for businesses that collect and process personal data. We review the existing literature on privacy, particularly GDPR, from a policy perspective. The evidence outlines data regulation's effects on competition, innovation, marketing activities, and cross-border data flows. The discussion highlights the tradeoffs between increased regulation of data protection and its effects on the market.

  • This paper surveys consumer policies for the internet transaction in the developed countries. Recently the internet transaction has been witnessing a remarkable change represented by the rapid spread of "revolution of distribution". It cannot be, however, stated that internet transaction will dominates all the market places without enhancing consumer's reliability in the internet transaction. Many countries made an efforts to the consumer protection in order to develop infra-structure of information industry. We will soon discover a new paradigm that consumer protection is not a tool for development of cyber market but the goal itself. We survey the process of consumer policies discussed in the developed countries and study the point of prevailing arguments of the consumer protection in the internet transaction. The arguments discussed in OECD meetings are debatable, especially, to the degree of government intervention in the field of consumer protection between EU and US. In contrast of US insisted on the minimum intervention of the government, EU suggest the opinion of more aggressive role of government in consumer policy in the cyber market. This paper attempts to provide several guide lines of Korean consumer policy in the cyber market.

  • Purpose - This study analyzed the effect of the Trump Government's protectionist trade policies on foreign ownership. Specifically, this study empirically analyzes the hypothesis that foreign ownership will decrease after the Trump Government rather than before the Trump Government. Design/methodology - The hypothesis of this study is based on the expectation that US protection trade policy will negatively affect the profitability of Korean companies. The dependent variable in this study is the foreign ownership ratio, and the independent variable is a dummy variable representing before and after the Trump Government. Multiple regression analysis was performed, including the control variables suggested in previous studies related to foreign ownership. Findings - As a result, foreign ownership increased after the Trump Government rather than before the Trump Government. This study further analyzes whether the main variables affecting foreign investor's decision-making are differences before and after Trump Government. The export ratio, profitability and dividends did not differ before and after Trump Government. However, the level of information asymmetry decreased after the Trump Government than before the Trump Government. This suggests that US protection trade policies do not adversely affect the profitability of Korean companies. However, Korean firms are improving their information environment because US protectionist trade policies can lower profitability and negatively impact capital raising. In this regard, the foreign ownership ratio seems to differ before and after the Trump Government. Originality/value - This study contributes in that it presents data that US protectionist policies can affect Korean corporate governance. This study has implications from the short-term analysis of US protection trade policy.

  • This paper proposes a personal information protection model that allows a user to regulate his or her own personal information and privacy protection policies to receive services provided by a service provider without having to reveal personal information in a way that the user is opposed to. When the user needs to receive a service that requires personal information, the user will only reveal personal information that they find acceptable and for uses that they agree with. Users receive desired services from the service provider only when there is agreement between the user's and the service provider's security policies. Moreover, the proposed model utilizes a mobile agent that is transmitted from the user's personal space, providing the user with complete control over their privacy protection. In addition, the mobile agent is itself a self-destructing program that eliminates the possibility of personal information being leaked. The mobile agent described in this paper allows users to truly control access to their personal information.

By proposing protected access utilizing a unique identification key of enterprises, regarding the personal information of various internal and external clients held by international manufacturing companies and attempting to make policy aspect and management access at the same time, there is a change of gradual decline in cloud personnel information management service, which is the domestic ISP service for personnel management as the technology facilitated to reduce the burden on personnel and cost for the protection of personal information and the market is also changing to the direction for companies to directly operate. Therefore, this study intends to examine the convenience of integrated management for ensuring security, while confirming the gap on flexibility and safety on management point regarding the human resources of international manufacturing companies arising from its interactions.
