A Study on the Implementation of Global SCM(Supply Chain Management) Model using Electronic Commerce Infrastructure (전자상거래 인프라를 활용한 글로벌 SCM(Supply Chain Management) 모델 구현에 관한 연구)

  • SCM(Supply Chain Management) have been introduced in many companies for integrated management and improvement of business process. Recently, as internet and e-business concept are spread globally, the SCM concept is expanded from one internal company process to inter-company process, it makes a Global SCM concept. In this paper, we discuss the implementation of the Global SCM concept using e-business infrastructure, and propose SCM portal models. Four types of the SCM portal model are discussed, which are forecasting information sharing model, e-Marketplace-typed model, collaboration model and logistics information sharing model. The major concept of the SCM portal is to share information of supply chain process, it provide merits of scale to company. The result of this paper can be summarized as follows : First, the information sharing is very useful in the Global SCM. Second, the e-business infrastructure, especially e-Marketplace can be usefully used for implementation of SCM portal. Third, the M2M(Market to Market) function of e-Marketplace is a major function for implementing SCM portal.

A Study of Factors Affecting the Continued Usage Intention of Internet Portal Sites (인터넷 포털사이트 서비스의 지속적 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Portal sites have been providing diverse services to attract new users and retain existing customers. Recently, they also added new services and increased quality of the services they provide to secure more customers. It is, however, not clear how people actually react to such activities. We wanted to understand the mechanism associated with users' continued usage intention of current Portal site. We assumed search, e-mail, information, community, e-commerce services as key services provided by most Portal sites and considered valuable by many customers. The quality of these services may directly affect users' continued usage intention. However, we can also assume that attractive alternatives and switching cost may have some influence on users' continued usage intention. Therefore, in this study, key variables pertaining to the quality of key services provided by Portal sites, attractive alternatives, and switching cost were examined to explain the dynamics of users' continued usage intention. An empirical study based on 891 survey responses showed the importance of the quality of key services for users' continued usage intention. Switching cost also demonstrated strong association with users' continued usage intention. However, attractive alternatives did not show a significant association with users' continued usage intention. We also found that the variable attractive alternatives moderated the relationship between the quality of search service and users' continued usage intention and the relationship between the quality of information service and users' continued usage intention. On the other hand, the variable switching cost showed a moderating effect on the relationship between the quality of e-mail service and users' continued usage intention and the relationship between the quality of community service and users' continued usage intention. This study implies that Portal sites need to make efforts not only to improve the quality of key services but also to consider attractiveness of other Portal sites' services and switching cost to secure more customers.

Improvement of Traffic Information Contents of Portal Site focused on User's Satisfaction (이용자 만족도 중심의 인터넷포탈 교통정보 콘텐츠 개선방안)

  • Recently, use frequency for traffic information which provides shortest paths and traffic condition is increasing. Specially, in the survey, it is shown that users prefer internet portal sites which can be used the most easily among traffic information media. But, there are not many verification systems for traffic information contents of internet portal sites which collect and provide information than traffic information contents which are provided by public service. The purpose of this study is to investigate real accuracy and accuracy felt by users about information provided by portal sites. Therefore, in this research we verified accuracy of information by portal site with real field data and investigate real usage about contents and experienced accuracy by users through survey. Also, users' expectation and satisfaction were surveyed and the contents to be improved were selected by using IPA technique. By the result of accuracy verification by field data using portable DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) devices, it is shown that average error was 14~32% and sometimes very high rate. Also, it is shown that 28.3 % of total respondents prefers the information by portal sites and 50 % of total respondents felt that contents of traffic information by portal sites are not accurate. Real-time traffic condition was selected as the most inaccurate one among all contents of traffic information and it was analyzed that intensive efforts for improving information about real-time traffic condition are needed.

A Study on Data Linkage Between Public Data Portals and Individual Portals (공공데이터 포털과 개별 포털 간의 데이터 연계방안 연구)

  • The Public Data Portal(data.go.kr) is a gateway for searching and using public data in South Korea. In 2021, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security established individual portal maintenance plans. Individual portals refer to portals built by public institutions in Korea other than the public data portal. According to the maintenance plan, the Korea Intelligence Information Society, the operator of the public data portal, needs to establish operating and data integration plans to link the public data portal and individual portals. In this study, we investigated the current operating status and data integration methods of the public data portal in South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, and proposed that the adoption of a top-down approach is efficient when integrating data. In addition, we divided the specific procedures that should be pursued when integrating data into five stages: determination of data integration standard methods, analysis of metadata status, expansion of operating infrastructure, confirmation of data import, and launch of services.

  • The representative example of the business model on internet environment, the business of the Naver, Empas and Google which provides information retrieval service is the internet portal. The portal sites provide information retrieval service which provides users information what they want to find, that is a huge social contribution. The portal site which provides a search service leads much problems. Consequently, the regulation against information retrieval is asserted powerfully in spite of the public interest. Namely, the regulation regarding the search business owner is tried. Finally, portal business owner puts the social responsibility as OSP. But, there is a doubt that portal business owner who has much problem which occurred on the portal site indirectly has responsibility directly. That is duty on portal site owner the censorship on the contents transferred. So, this thesis researches on the social critical opinion relating with a information retrieval from the legal side against the problem of the Internet.

  • The basic concept of an improved business and productivity for Small and Medium Sized Enterprizes, which makes use of an information portal, is to assure competitive power, increase the production quantity through the interchange of a company and the outside environment, and to build cooperation. To reduce the charge of the equipment, as well as to introduce and information program, it should build an information environment from inside the company by suing the information portal ASP(Application Service Provider). This portal is already built by the basic information infrastructure through the Internet.

  • The trade portal site is one of the innovative skills which makes it possible for trade companies to manage international trade activities more efficiently by using the newest information technology. Especially, trade portal site can be considerable help to small and medium-sized enterprises which have much difficulties in finding overseas buyers due to the lack of international marketing capabilities. This study attempts to present a comprehensive model about the determinants of e-Trust in domestic trade portal site and to suggest practical strategies for e-Trade. Therefore, a theoretical framework was presented by the literature review, and a empirical study was carried out through a questionnaire survey to those who have had experiences of visiting trade portal site. The empirical analysis had the following results. First, it reveals that reputation, web-site quality, transaction efficiency of the trade portal site have influence upon e-Trust dimension. On the other hand, perceived risk did not have significant relationship with e-Trust. Second, e-Trust had significant impact on willingness to depend on the trade portal site. And also, e-Trust had positive influence on performance of using which is measured by sales increase, information sharing, and synergy effect.

An Exploratory Study on the Preference of Silver Portal Contents: Focused on the Pre-senior Internet Users (실버포탈에서 제공하는 콘텐츠에 대한 선호도 연구: 40세 이상의 잠재 실버포탈 이용자를 중심으로)

  • This study defines the silver portal as a specialized internet portal that will be probably popular with the pre-senior/senior internet users who are over 40, sooner or later. The purpose of the study is to analyze what types of online contents on the silver portal are mostly preferred by the pre-senior/senior, and does the preference of those content types vary according to the demographic and the internet usage characteristics of the pre-senior. The study also is to suggest some research propositions, based on the analysis results, that could be applied to empirical studies in the future which deal with various research questions on the silver portal. To accomplish these research purposes, the study performed a survey for the prospective silver portal users who are living in the areas of Seoul and Kyeonggi, South Korea, and did various statistical analyses. This study found that the preference of content types of the silver portal vary according to some personal characteristics of the prospective silver portal users, and moreover proposed a few of research propositions on the relationships between personal characteristics and preferred content types.

  • This paper designed an Internet Convention e-Portal Information System through an experience and knowledges accumulated in case of information utilization regarding international meeting and conventions in knowledge information societies. Established the Non-stop Cluster system that was the H/W side, L4 and the applied system which was the 3-tier structure and Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS security control system, S/W side, that utilized the WAS MVC architecture used WAS and a SOA architecture. an ASP EAI function. A user and a manager, designs and constructor, the user efficiency who were an evaluation basis of a Verification commissioner, Ubiquitous evaluated system stability. Information security anger, and evaluated former system and comparison. Therefore is evaluated to the excellent Convention e-Portal Systems that a performance 25.9% improvement consisted of compare with the existing Convention e-Portal Systems, and will contribute so as to be able to carry out-driven enemy role in development of the industrial our country Convention Ubiquitous Internet IT information Industry and International Society Conventions.

Differentiation Strategies for a Women Portal Site: An Empirical Study (여성 포탈 사이트의 차별화 전략에 관한 실증 연구)

  • The recent survey shows that female web-suffers in Korea make up to 45.3% of total netizens and this growth will be continued. While the market in women portal sites is spotlighted recently, a brand power of a women portal site is still weaker to compete with other general portal sites. To be competitive, the women portal site should implement differentiation strategies. The primary objective of this research is to suggest the differentiation strategies for a women portal site based on the 6C (contents, community, commerce, connection, communication, and customizing). To achieve this goal, the questionnaire is posted on the web site and 348 samples are analyzed. As a result, the 15 differentiation strategies that are validated via the web-survey are presented. The results of this study are expected to help companies develop appropriate strategies for women Internet users.
