문서 범주화를 이용한 지식관리시스템에서의 전문가 분류 자동화 (Automation of Expert Classification in Knowledge Management Systems Using Text Categorization Technique)

  • This paper proposes how to build an expert profile database in KMS, which provides the information of expertise that each expert possesses in the organization. To manage tacit knowledge in a knowledge management system, recent researches in this field have shown that it is more applicable in many ways to provide expert search mechanisms in KMS to pinpoint experts in the organizations with searched expertise so that users can contact them for help. In this paper, we develop a framework to automate expert classification using a text categorization technique called Vector Space Model, through which an expert database composed of all the compiled profile information is built. This approach minimizes the maintenance cost of manual expert profiling while eliminating the possibility of incorrectness and obsolescence resulted from subjective manual processing. Also, we define the structure of expertise so that we can implement the expert classification framework to build an expert database in KMS. The developed prototype system, "Knowledge Portal for Researchers in Science and Technology," is introduced to show the applicability of the proposed framework.

A Decision Model with Expert's Biased Information Transmission

  • This study suggests on optimal process when decision maker is confronted with expert's biased information under the situation that the bias is caused mainly by the difference of their interest. In order to make honest transmission of expert's probabilistic information, the concept of expert use and scoring rule to provide expert with an incentive is used in this paper. And expected regret concept is introduced to evaluate the value of expert's information. A simple example is also shown.

  • As the application of real time expert systems has been expanded, the real time expert systems have become an integral part of the information society. Real time expert systems are viewed as a new paradigm to integrate real time problem solving and expert system technology. However, a substantial amount of work is still required to effectively handle a new and challenging opportunity for successful implementation of real time expert systems. In this article, the basic concepts and characteristics of real time expert systems are discussed. The article also presents, through the literature survey, the summary of real time expert systems applications and a class of tools, providing an enabling real time based expert system technology. Finally, the article discusses a set of requirements which real time expert systems must satisfy.

최적 금형연마 가공을 위한 센서 정보 통합 전문가 시스템 개발 (Development of a Sensor Information Integrated Expert System for Optimizing Die Polishing)

  • This paper presents a polishing expert system integrated with sensor information which can modify the polishing sequence and conditions initially determined by the system depending on the on-site polishing status. A practical system using AE sensor to detect the on-line polishing status is developed for the rotational polishing and the smoothly curved sur-face. Database and knowledge base for polishing processes are established by using the results of experiments and also expert's experience. Evaluations are performed for a die of headlight lamp by using both the sensor integrated expert sys-tem and the expert system without sensor. The test results show that the sensor integrated expert system provides more optimal polishing conditions since the proposed system takes advantage of on-line sensor information.

도서관$\cdot$정보학에서의 인공지능의 응용에 관한 고찰 (Artificial Intelligence Applications in Library and Information Science)

  • In this paper, artificial intelligence applications in library and information science are reviewed. Especially, natural language processing and expert systems are represented as the two major application areas. In natural language processing, natural language interface systems and .question-answering systems are discussed in detail with some specific examples. In the second part of the paper, online search intermidiary systems, reference expert systems, classification and cataloging expert systems are described as possible expert systems to be developed in libraries and information systems. As a conclusion, implications of the artificial intelligence applications for librarians and information scientists are suggested.

  • With the recent advancement of information and communication technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and 5G, data is being produced and digitized in unprecedented amounts. As a result, data has emerged as a critical resource for the future economy, and overseas countries have been revising laws for data protection and utilization. In Korea, the 'Data 3 Act' was revised in 2020 to introduce institutional measures that classify personal information, pseudonymized information, and anonymous information for research, statistics, and preservation of public records. Among them, it is expected to increase the added value of data by combining pseudonymized personal information, and to this end, "the Expert Data Combination Agency" and "the Expert Data Agency" (hereinafter referred to as the Expert Data Processing Agency) system were introduced. In comparison to these domestic systems, we would like to analyze similar overseas systems, and it was recently confirmed that the Vermont government in the United States enacted the first "Data Broker Act" in the United States as a measure to protect personal information held by data brokers. In this study, we aim to compare and analyze the roles and functions of the "Expert Data Processing Agency" and "Data Broker," and to identify differences in designated standards, security measures, etc., in order to present ways to contribute to the activation of the data economy and enhance information protection.

지능형 전문가관리 프레임워크를 위한 주제 분야 계층 자동 생성

  • In this paper, we introduce the methodology for the automatic generation of the subject field hierarchy for Intellgent Expert Management Framework using WordNet. Intelligent Expert Management Framework, which is proposed as an appropriate method to manage valuable tacit knowledge within the organization, defines the expert profile structure and proposes the efficient method to automate the process to collect and update the expert profile information based on the profile structure defined. To increase the satisfaction level of users, additional intelligent search features are defined and users can be given the list of experts in related or similar expert fields when they perform expert searches based on the expert database being built. To enable automatic profiling of the organizational experts as well as intelligent expert searches, the subject field hierarchy, upon which the expert profiles are classified and expert searches for similar fields are performed, should be predefined. In this paper, we propose the WordNet library method that first eliminates the ambiguity of the senses of nominal data values, constructs the subject field hierarchy by overlapping the hypernym of the remaining senses, and lastly adjusts the derived hierarchy to the preference of users. Based on the proposed methodology, we expect to avoid the prohibitive costs in building large subject field hierarchies when manually done as well as maintain the objectivity of the hierarchies.

Expert Systems as a Search Intermediary

  • 본 논문은 인공지능(artificial intelligence) 및 전문가 시스템(expert system)의 기본 개념과 이에 적용되고 있는 특정한 기술인 퍼지 이론(fuzzy logic)을 논하고 있으며, 지난 몇 년 동안 탐색 중개인으로서의 전문가 시스템을 조사해 보았다. 이러한 전문가 시스템은 1) 특정한 데이터베이스에 관련된 질문서 작성을 도와주며, 2) 탐색용어나 데이터베이스 선정에 관한 결정을 보조하고, 3) 탐색중에 있는 이용자에게 조언(助言)을 해주고 있다. 또한 전문가 시스템을 개발하는 에 있어 어려움 및 제한점(制限點)을 논의하고 있다.

  • A number of success story about various application areas including manufacturing, accounting, finance, education, and engineering are reported. MIS professionals predicted that expert systems would improve the productivity enormously. However, the expert system revolution has not happened yet. Although not reported in the open society widely, there are failure stories of expert systems. Most of problems concerning expert system failure stem from the non-technical issues such as cognitive and psychological problems rather than the technical issues. We hypothesize that human factor principle enables designers to handle most of these non-technical problems elegantly and to improve the performance and acceptance of the expert systems. Major reasons for expert system failure and needs of human factors are discussed. Human factor guidelines to expert system make the prospects of the expert systems with human factors clear and understandable.

전문가 제품 후기가 소비자 제품 평가에 미치는 영향: 텍스트마이닝 분석을 중심으로 (The Effect of Expert Reviews on Consumer Product Evaluations: A Text Mining Approach)

  • 최근 정보기술의 발달로 인해 소비자들은 온라인상에서 많은 정보를 쉽고 빠르게 획득할 수 있다. 소비자가 제품 구매시에는 소비자들이나 전문가들이 작성한 제품 후기 정보를 주로 탐색한다. 기존의 연구들이 소비자들이 창출한 제품 후기 중심으로 주로 진행되어 왔기 때문에, 전문가 제품 후기의 영향력에 대해서는 상대적으로 소수의 연구들만 존재하고 있다. 본 연구는 전문가가 생성하는 제품 후기에 초점을 맞추어, 방대한 실제 비정형데이터인 전문가의 후기를 어떻게 언어학적인 차원과 심리학적인 차원으로 나눌 수 있는지의 방법론을 제안하며, 실제 전문가 제품 후기를 사용하여 의미 있는 다섯 가지 차원의 새로운 변수들을 도출하였다. 그 결과 소비자들이 전문가 후기에서 반응하고 있는 언어적 특성은 제품에 대한 깊이 있는 정보의 양이나 충분한 설명을 나타내는 변수인 Review Depth, 그리고 전문가가 기술하는 방식이 제품에 대한 확신이 없는 듯한 말투를 나타내는 변수인 Lack of Assurance는 소비자의 전반적인 제품평가에 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한, 제품에 대한 칭찬이나 긍정적인 면을 서술하는 방식인 Positive Polarity가 소비자의 제품 평가에 영향을 미치지 않았지만, 전문가가 하는 제품에 대한 비관적인 평가인 Negative Polarity는 소비자들의 평가와 유의한 음의 상관관계가 있었다는 점이다. 전문가가 스토리텔링 관점에서 자주 사용하는 Social Orientation 특성은 유의한 관계를 미치지 못함이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 새로운 방법론을 제안하고 이를 실제로 활용한 결과를 보여준다는 차원에서 이론적이고 실무적인 공헌을 가진다.
