This study is to suggest IC(Information Commons) as an alternative to solve the digital divide in the Information Age. The value of IC is based on the OA(Open Acess) and the essential elements of democracy. On the basis of previous studies, physical space was divided into six parts to realize the value of the IC. This study investigated and analyzed the use patterns and made several suggestions for applying IC in the Public Library.

개인정보는 정보서비스의 효율적인 운용과 새로운 비즈니스 모델에서 수익창출을 위한 자원으로 활용되고 있다. 이로 인하여 중요 정보에 대한 불법적인 사용 또는 개인정보 소유자의 허가 없는 사용으로 개인 프라이버시 침해가 발생되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 각 정보 시스템에서 사생활보호와 중요정보보호를 위한 정보 보안정책 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 모델은 정보 제공정책 모델과 정보 사용정책 모델로 구성하여 정보자기결정권을 부여하여 이중적인 접근제어 방식을 적용하고자 한다.

In this paper, We have developed the Internet web browser for the blind and visually impaired person. The Internet Web browser system consists of personal computer connected to Internet, braille display, voice synthesis devices for character information, tactile display for the representation of web image and braille printer for web page printing. We convert character in the web page to braille and print it to braille display. The image in the web page is printed with tactile display actuated by solenoid. The blind can acess the Internet web site with this web browser system and understand the Internet information.

In order for the connection to the wireless network from the list of priorities of the wireless AP to AP profile automatic connection by selecting the preferred method to register a profile, which is determined at the time of the change, the user does not respond to the demands of the part. In this study, the frequency of the user's access in accordance with the wireless AP, and by creating a profile, the user needs to meet with regard to network access adaptive research.

CSCW 지원 도구에서 접근제어 정보의 효과적 관리는 매우 중요하다. 이는 접근제어가 관리 비용이 많이 들고, 에러가 발생하기 쉬운 경향이 있기 때문이다. 접근 제어 모델 중 ACL 은 다양한 시스템에서 사용되고 있으나 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있기에 이를 개선한 RBAC 모델이 대두되고 있다. 하지만 다양한 공동 작업 환경의 경우, 역할에 속한 사용자들의 집합이 아니라 특별한 개별 사용자 집합에 의한 작업이 요구될 수도 있다. 따라서 CSCW 환경에서는 사용자 그룹기반의 접근제어 모델과 역할기반의 접근제어 모델을 혼합한 형태의 새로운 접근제어 모델이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 요구사항을 만족시키기 위해서 역할기반 접근제어 모델과 사용자 기반 접근제어 모델을 혼합한 형태의 접근제어 모델을 제안한다.

The PZT(lead, zirconium, titanium) based ceramics which, are reported to be ferroelectric materials have their important applications in the areas of surface acoustic waves (SAW), filters, infrared detectors, actuators, ferroelectric random acess memory, speakers, electronic switches etc. Moreover, these PZT materials possess the large electromechanical coupling factor, large spontaneous polarization, low dielectric loss and low internal stress etc. Hence, keeping in view the unique properties of PZT piezoelectric ceramics we also tried to synthesize indigenously the small sized PZT ceramic powder in the laboratory by using the modified sol-gel approach. In this paper, Propyl alcohol based sol-gel method was used for preparation of PZT piezoelectric ceramic. The powder obtained by this sol-gel process was calcined and sintering to reach a pyrochlore-free crystal phase. The characterization of synthesized material was carried out by the XRD analysis and the surface morphology was determined by high resolution scanning electron microscopy.

저렴한 비용, 매우 작은 파워 소비라 낮은 데이터 전송속도를 지원 하는 IEEE 802.15.4 LR-WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) 기술은 앞으로 다가올 유비쿼터스 시대의 핵심이라고 할 수 있다. 도래할 유비쿼터스 시대에는 댁내에 LR-WPAN 기술을 적용한 다양한 상품이 보급될 것이다. 그러나 LR-WPAN은 매우 낮은 전력 소비를 위해 네트워크 기능을 최소화 하였기 때문에 응용에 있어 LAN 또는 WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network)등 기존 네트워크와의 통신 및 보안이 아직 고려되지 않아 보완이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 WLAN의 Station이 LR-WPAN을 보안적으로 안전하게 제어할 수 있도록 AP(Acess Point)와 WLAN의 Station 그리고 LR-WPAN의 PAN Coodinator 간의 새로운 Message와 Function를 정의하고, 다른 두 네트워크간의 효율적이고 보안이 유지되는 프레임 프로세싱 매커니즘을 제안한다.

This paper presents a hybrid WDM/TDM channel acess protocol for high speed WDM networks based on passive double star topology. In the proposed scheme, all nodes in a network are splitted into groups forming passive double star topology and each node has a tunable transmitter and a fixed receiver. WDM channels are allocated to the groups, which are used as home channels to transmit or receive packets. TDM frames of the WDM channel are composed of the same number of slots as that of groups, and all nodes in a group transmit packets simultaneously at each slot. The proposed scheme reduces the system complexity and the number of the required WDM channels. It was proved that the proposed protocol is less sensitive to the propagation delay and maintaining its superior transmission performance by employing the efficient transmission schedule based on passive double star topology.

자바는 플랫폼에 독립적인 실행을 위해서 바이트코드를 사용하며, 자바가상머신에서 바이트코드를 해석하여 실행시키는 인터프리터 방식을 취하고 있으므로 느린 실행 시간을 갖는다. 이와 같은 느린 실행 시간에 영향을 주는 요인 중의 하나로써 다차원 배열(Multi-dimension Array)에 접근(Acess)할 때 비효율적인 방법으로 실행되는 것을 개선할 필요가 있다. 자바가상머신에서 오브젝트와 배열은 레퍼런스에 의해서 접근되어지고, 특히 다차원 배열은 배열 안에 또 다른 배열이 들어있는 자료구조를 취하기 때문에 다차원 배열의 크기가 커질수록 하나의 원소에 접근할 때 발생되는 레퍼런스(Reference)의 횟수가 많아질수록 성능 저하를 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 다차원 배열에 효율적으로 접근하기 위한 새로운 배열의 자료 구조를 제시하고, 다차원 배열에 접근하는 여러 개의 바이트코드 대신 이런 자료구조에 접근할 수 있는 새로운 바이트코드를 정의 및 구현하였다. 그리고 이를 실제 클래스파일에 적용하고, 간단한 성능 평가를 통해서 성능 개선 효과를 확인할 수 있다.

In this paper, we suggest a parallel algorithm to merge priority queues organized in two heaps, kheap and nheap of sizes k and n, correspondingly. Employing max(2$^{-1}$, $\ulcorner$(m＋1)/4$\lrcorner$'s processors, this algorithm requires O(log(n/k)＊log(n)) on an EREW-PRAM, where i is the height of the heap and m is the summation of sizes n and k. Also, when we run it on the MasPar machine, this method achieves a 33.934-fold speedup with 64 processors to merge 8 million data items which consist of two heaps of different sizes. So our parallel algorithm's EPU is close to 1, which is considered as an optimal speedup ratio.eedup ratio.
