가변관성 모의 기능을 가진 풍력터빈 시뮬레이터의 제어 알고리즘 (Control Algorithm for Wind Turbine Simulator with Variable Inertia Emulation)

  • 풍력 발전 시스템의 제어 알고리즘 개발 및 개발 제품의 성능 시험을 위해 회전자 블레이드를 대신하여 발전기축에 토오크를 입력할 수 있는 풍력 발전기 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 풍속의 변화에 따른 블레이드의 출력 토오크 변화를 실시간으로 계산하여 직류 전동기 구동을 위한 토오크 지령값으로 사용하며, 특히 회전자 블레이드의 관성이 일반적으로 전동기보다 매우 큰 점에 착안하여 가감속시 회전자 관성에 의한 영향을 고려할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 즉, 바람으로부터 획득하는 운동에너지 중에서 미리 회전자 블레이드 관성 모멘트에 저장/변환되는 에너지를 계산하여 나머지 성분만 발전기 축에 전달하도록 하여 실제로 커다란 관성체를 사용하지 않고도 효과적으로 회전자 블레이드와 발전기부의 동특성을 실제 상황에 가깝게 모의할 수 있다. 직류 전동기를 사용하여 풍속의 변화에 따른 풍력 터빈 시뮬레이터를 설계 제작하고, 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 그 성능을 보였다.

Hard-landing Simulation by a Hierarchical Aircraft Landing Model and an Extended Inertia Relief Technique

  • In this work, an efficient aircraft landing simulation strategy is proposed to develop an efficient and reliable hard-landing monitoring procedure. Landing stage is the most dangerous moment during operation cycle of aircraft and it may cause structural damage when hard-landing occurs. Therefore, the occurrence of hard-landing should be reported accurately to guarantee the structural integrity of aircraft. In order to accurately determine whether hard-landing occurs or not from given landing conditions, full nonlinear structural dynamic simulation can be performed, but this approach is highly time-consuming. Thus, a more efficient approach for aircraft landing simulation which uses a hierarchical aircraft landing model and an extended inertia relief technique is proposed. The proposed aircraft landing model is composed of a multi-body dynamics model equipped with landing gear and tire models to extract the impact force and inertia force at touch-down and a linear dynamic structural model with an extended inertia relief method to analyze the structural response subject to the prescribed rigid body motion and the forces extracted from the multi-body dynamics model. The numerical examples show the efficiency and practical advantages of the proposed landing model as an essential component of aircraft hard-landing monitoring procedure.

연령증가에 따른 정상 한국인 대퇴골의 재형성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Age-related Remodeling of Femur in Normal Korean Adult)

  • The general pattern of adaptation in the appendicular skeleton with aging is that the subperiosteal apposition of bone occur along with endosteal absorption. This remodeling of diaphysis to a cylinder of larger diameter is hypothesized to serve a mechanical compensatory unction by increasing the moment of inertia as the cortex thins with aging. These findings is only true of the diaphysis of long bone. Measuring the area and inertia at each section of femur, the age-related change of proximal emur and diaphysis is observed. After screening by physical and radiological examination, 200 normal Korean adults divided 5 groups in both male and female based on age. Twenty persons were in each group. One femur in each person was analyzed using CT images. femur scanned with 60 to 80 slices and this images were digitized. Then 2-D images were reconstructed into 3-D images. Using the nonlinear method, normalization and interpolation technique, 7 locations of interest (trochanteric area: 1, 2 subtrochanteric area: 3, 4, isthmic area: 5, 6, 7) were determined. On the each cross section at each location, the area (total, cortical and medullary) and 5 inertia of moment were measured. The results were analyzed statistically. With aging, significant area change occurred mainly in diaphysis and female. In trochanteric area, no significant change was noted. With aging, total and medullary area were increased, but cortical area was not changed. In diaphysis, lateral bendingresistanceincreasedsignificantly. No inertia change was noted in trochanteric area. Anteroposterior bending resistance was constant with aging. In more than age 60, total area and medullary area were larger than that of others. Lateral bending resistance was higher especially in diaphysis. In diaphysis, with aging, the decreased properties is compensated with the increased lateral bending resistance by geometric remodeling. In trochanteric area, no compensation occur. With aging, especially in more than age 60, the higher rate of trochanteric fracture is expected.

  • In this paper, a new sensorless vibration control scheme is proposed for a flexible manipulator system. A robust sliding mode controller incorporating with a ‘reaction moment observer’ used for the estimation of the reaction moment reciprocally acting on flexible arm and hub inertia is introduced to achieve desired control target. The rigid body dynamics of the single-link flexible manipulator is simply considered in the design of the sliding mode controller. Then, the reaction moment is estimated by the proposed reaction moment observer to suppress the residual vibration of the flexible arm. The performance of the proposed control scheme is verified by computer simulation and experiment.

맥류의 도복에 관여하는 유용형질의 분석에 관한 연구 (Analytical Studies on The Useful Characters Affecting The Lodging Resistance of Wheat and Barley Varieties)

  • 본연구는 맥류의 도복에 관여하는 주요형질의 상호관계를 구명함과 아울러 주요 대소맥 품종의 내도복성정도를 분류하고, 내도복성 품종 선발의 기준을 인정하여 보고자 한 것이며, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 포장도복과 도복지수는 고도의 정의 상관(대맥 r=0.44-0.67 소맥 r=0.46-0.68)이 있으며 지상부 Bending moment에 간자체의 정도를 가미한 지수로서 도복저항성 검정에 가장 유효하다. 2. 간의 Bending stiffness를 표시하는 좌절시 Bending moment와 단면 2차 moment와는 정의 높은 상관(대백 r=0.59, 소맥 r=0.46-0.53)을 보였다. 3. 간의 Bending stiffness(좌절시 Bending moment 단면 2차 moment)와 간에의 건물집적량을 표시하는 단위간건물중과는 높은 정의 상관 (대맥 r=0.35-1.40, 소맥 r=0.33-0.76)을 보였다. 4. 도복지수와 단위간건물중 (대맥 r=-0.51~-0.70, 소맥 r=-0.65~-0.83) 좌절시 Bending moment (대맥 r=-0.29~-0.69, 소맥 r=-0.54~-0.89)과는 특히 높은 부의 상관을 보였으며, 소맥의 경우는 좌절하중, 단면 2차 moment, 단면계수와는 높은 부의 상관을 보였다. 5. 간외경은 간내경보다 간의 물리적 특성과 상관이 높으며 좌절하중 (대맥 r=0.42-0.56, 소맥 r=0.39-0.44), 좌절시 Bending moment (대맥 r=0.40-0.41, 소맥 r=0.38-0.49), 단면 2차 moment (대맥 r=0.56-0.97, 소맥 r=0.0.28-0.28), 단면계수(소맥 r=0.22-0.96)와는 정의 높은 상관이 있었고, 간벽후와 물리적특성과도 정의 상관을 보였다. 6. 간장은 포장도복과는 품종군에 따라서는 정의 상관은 보이나, 간의 강도를 고려한다면 내도복저항성품종 선발의 지표로서 이용하기는 어려울 것으로 보인다. 7. 대소맥의 많은 품종의 내도복성 정도를 분류한 결과, 한국품종중 대맥은 내도복저항성품종이 많고, 대맥은 내도복성인 품종의 분포가 대맥보다 적었으나, 일본품종들을 대소맥 모두 내도복저항성인 품종이 많았다. 8. 내도복저항성인 품종의 선발을 위하여는 도복지수가 대맥 1.67 소맥 1.76 정도 이하인 것은 고도의 저항성이 있었다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the stability of stepped cantilever columns with a tip mass of rotatory inertia and a translational spring at one end. The column model is based on the Bernoulli-Euler theory which neglects the effects of rotatory inertia and shear deformation. The governing differential equation for the free vibration of columns with stepwise variable cross-section and subjected to a subtangential follower force is solved numerically using the corresponding boundary conditions. And the bisection method is used to calculate the critical divergence/flutter load. The frequency and critical divergence/flutter load for the stepped column with a single step are presented as functions of various non-dimensional system parameters: the segmental length parameter, the section ratio, the subtangential parameter, the mass, the moment of inertia of the mass, and the spring parameter.

  • A new scheme to estimate machine inertia in low speed is proposed in this paper. It is necessary to consider the machine parameter of low speed instantaneous observer to precise control in servo system, which has frequent load variation and speed change. To estimate machine parameter, especially the moment of inertia, Reduced-Order Extended Luenberger Observer (ROELO) is applied. The effectiveness of the proposed ROELO is showed by simulation.

  • In general, crankshafts which are used in internal combustion reciprocating engines are subjects to high torsional vibration. Therefore, a damper is often used to minimize the torsional vibration in reciprocating engines. In this paper, in order to investigate damping performance of viscous damper, the real effective viscosity and complex damping coefficient of silicone oil, and the effective inertia moment of inertia ring are calculated considering the relative motion between damper casing and inertia ring. Based on these results multi-cylinder shaft is modeled into equivalent 2-degree of freedom system and optimum condition is estimated by calculating the amplification factor of viscous damper. Also the test damper was manufactured according to the result of theoretical investigation, the performance and durability was ascertained through experimental examination.

  • This Paper proposes a simple identification method of the moment of inertia for high performance spindle motor of machine tool. It uses the dynamic equation of a simple mechanical system, the torque reference of a speed controller, and the actual rotating speed of machine. The identified inertia can be for auto-tuning of the gains in the speed controller. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by the computer simulation.

Force transfer mechanism in positive moment continuity details for prestressed concrete girder bridges

  • The force transfer mechanism in positive moment continuity details for prestressed concrete girder bridges is investigated in this paper using a three-dimensional detailed finite element model. Positive moment reinforcement in the form of hairpin bars as recommended by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program Report No 519 is incorporated in the model. The cold construction joint that develops at the interface between girder ends and continuity diaphragms is also simulated via contact elements. The model is then subjected to the positive moment and corresponding shear forces that would develop over the service life of the bridge. The stress distribution in the continuity diaphragm and the axial force distribution in the hairpin bars are presented. It was found that due to the asymmetric configuration of the hairpin bars, asymmetric stress distribution develops at the continuity diaphragm, which can be exacerbated by other asymmetric factors such as skewed bridge configurations. It was also observed that when the joint is subjected to a positive moment, the tensile force is transferred from the girder end to the continuity diaphragm only through the hairpin bars due to the lack of contact between the both members at the construction joint. As a result, the stress distribution at girder ends was found to be concentrated around the hairpin bars influence area, rather than be resisted by the entire girder composite section. Finally, the results are used to develop an approach for estimating the cracking moment capacity at girder ends based on a proposed effective moment of inertia.
