Behavior of Suspended Solids for the Development of Coastal Industrial Complex (해안지역 산업단지조성 따른 해양 부유물질 거동에 관한 연구)

  • The government is now driving a policy that development of industrial complex site for the local manufacturing industry by reengineering and expanding the existing sites or reclamation of coastal zone. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the impact of the coastal reclamation work in terms of physical and environmental characteristics. This study is also dealing with the impact of coastal reclamation for national industrial complex site to the ocean physical characteristics, variation of sedimentation and diffusion system and marine environment from the analysis of the field measurement and numerical simulation. The site for application is at the coastal boundary near Onsan national industrial complex, Ulsan metro city. In order to verify the numerical simulation result, it is compared to the collected data for tide, current, and sediments of the existing measurement and field observation at the selected stations for this study. The verified numerical models were applied to the actual field and the future change was analyzed.

Development of Silk Knits and Modern Hanbok Products Inspired by Traditional "Ra(羅)" (전통 라(羅)를 모방한 실크 편물 및 현대 한복 제품 개발)

  • Korea has preserved a highly sophisticated silk fabric culture throughout its history. Among these fabrics, Ra (羅) was considered to be a premium gauze fabric that required advanced skill and dedication to utilize. Ra is a complex gauze fabric in which four warp threads are twisted together and intersect with the weft to form intricate holes. This unique structure gives Ra its distinctive transparency and elasticity among silk textiles. It was widely used for veils, garments, and various items from the Three Kingdoms period to the Joseon Dynasty. However, its complex weaving process limited production efficiency, leading to its decline. Today, Ra has become obsolete. This study focuses on the elastic characteristics of Ra, where intersecting warp threads create net-like structured holes. This stucturre was emulated by developing a silk knit using a Raschel knitting machine. The developed product consists of three types: one replicating the alternating complex structure present in the traditional patterns of Munra (紋羅), another reproducing the distinctive hexagonal holes of the 4-end complex gauze, and the last expressing the hexagonal holes with the weft passing through them. Inspired by Ra's traditional uses in clothing and everyday items, various products were designed and produced. These include a women's coat with Akjureum, a 17th-century Joseon-style women's Jeogori, a modern market-style Jeogori, and a envelope inspired by a Goryeo Dynasty pouch artifact. These items confirm the potential and applicability of the developed silk knit as a material for modern Hanbok products. This study underscores the significance of developing new textiles that incorporate traditional materials, highlighting how tradition can be preserved in diverse ways.

Analysing Management Crises and Resilience of the Game Industry in Daegu (대구 게임산업의 경영위기와 회복력에 대한 분석)

  • This study analyzed the characteristics of the management crisis, the level of resilience, and the alternatives based on the companies' self-evaluation of the game industry in Daegu. The Daegu game industry, which started spontaneously in the late 1990s, grew rapidly until the late 2000s with the support of the government and supporting organizations. However, from the mid-2010s, it has entered a period of recession due to the number of companies that failed to respond to the saturation of the mobile game market and fierce competition at home and abroad. In response, some game companies turned the crisis into an opportunity to strengthen their competitiveness by pursuing challenging strategies for product differentiation and pioneering new markets. On the other hand, companies that were passive in responding to the crisis have not get out of the management crisis. In addition, in terms of the resilience level of game companies in Daegu, the level of immediate response to shock(rapidity) and replacement of the damaged part(redundancy) was low, but the level of mobilizing sufficient resources internally(resourcefulness) was high. However, as the Daegu game industry is facing more complex multi-spatial-scale environmental changes than in the past, its resilience should be strengthened through strategies that can compensate for weaknesses in terms of the game industry ecosystem beyond individual company-level efforts.

Present and future development of Noksan wind power generation cluster (미래 풍력발전산업의 집적지육성을 위한 녹산클러스터 발전방향)

  • Wind power is the most rapidly growing energy source in the world. Increased focus on climate changes and renewable energy is supporting the wind power industry in gaining momentum. Noksan wind cluster in Busan has been a major area in manufacturing the elementary parts of wind turbine. Despite growing recognition of the significance of Noksan, there has been only limited attention paid and in recent years. This paper reviews the literature of the current burning issues in wind turbine industries in the western countries. In addition, it describes the present state of Noksan wind power generation cluster and suggests the future plans to make it more effective complex.

  • As the power industry moves towards open competition, there has been a call for methodology to evaluate distribution power system reliability by using customer interruption costs. Accordingly, it is increased for methodology to evaluate distribution power system reliability in power supply zones under competitive electricity market. This paper presents algorithm to evaluate system average interruption duration index. expected energy not supplied and system outage cost taking Into consideration failure rate of distribution facility and industrial customer interruption cost. Also, to apply this algorithm to evaluate system outage cost presented in this paper, distribution system of a dual supply system consisting of mostly high voltage customers in industrial complex in Korea is used as a sample case study. Finally, evaluation results of system interruption cost, system average interruption duration index and expected energy not supplied in sample industrial complex area are shown in detail.

  • The residence plan of Korea has been formed with bias for quantitative growth and uniformity failing at obtaining human value. Also, rapid growth brought about severe problems of deteriorated human life and destruction of environment. The solution for these problems is pursued in many directions, but there is short of active plan yet. The residence shall develop into new direction to satisfy the demand by reflecting society and culture as well as residents. This study examines external design with symbolic representation of regional feature as an alternative for uniform residence environment problem. This study will be a basic data upon suggesting the direction for planning high quality residence environment. This study examined the elements which form external space of residence complex, designed plan for external space of residence complex, and examined how to reflect regional feature which is important element of local community and culture on the space plan for residence complex based on the evaluation by local residents centered on Gimcheon-si, Gyeongbuk which just started local specialty by fostering.   • At the present, all resources on ubiquitous are smart and networking. it deduces the environment that any service could be provided without any restriction of time and space and maximizes life quality and creation of people and industry productivity. especially, it converses and integrates all fields in the city based on Ubiquitous computing, IT. Furthermore, the study on the technology concerned with Ubiquitous is actively conducted. In this paper, we would like to look onto the types of necessary system and technology when the Ubiquitous system is applied to buildings. Besides, as analyzing necessity and expecting effect of ubiquitous system, we suggest the method to establish ubiquitous system in multi-complex buildings.

  • Knowledge spillover among firms is a crucial ingredient in realizing the benefits of agglomeration. This paper provides an overview and critical assessment of the Shihwa Industrial Complex (SIC) in Korea. In order to identify the relationships and interplay among different agents in the area, a survey was conducted on business networking of industry-academia-government collaboration in research and development. Unlike the closely knit input-output relationship, the findings suggest that the technological linkages in the SIC still have room for improvement. As the role of small and medium enterprises as catalysts of regional economic development in Korea is expected to grow in importance, more effort should be made to nurture clustering and R&D networking among them.

Weighted Local Naive Bayes Link Prediction

  • Weighted network link prediction is a challenge issue in complex network analysis. Unsupervised methods based on local structure are widely used to handle the predictive task. However, the results are still far from satisfied as major literatures neglect two important points: common neighbors produce different influence on potential links; weighted values associated with links in local structure are also different. In this paper, we adapt an effective link prediction model-local naive Bayes model into a weighted scenario to address this issue. Correspondingly, we propose a weighted local naive Bayes (WLNB) probabilistic link prediction framework. The main contribution here is that a weighted cluster coefficient has been incorporated, allowing our model to inference the weighted contribution in the predicting stage. In addition, WLNB can extensively be applied to several classic similarity metrics. We evaluate WLNB on different kinds of real-world weighted datasets. Experimental results show that our proposed approach performs better (by AUC and Prec) than several alternative methods for link prediction in weighted complex networks.

Average Score-to-Allotted Point Ratio Analysis of Each Assessment Item of Green Apartment Complex Certification System (친환경 공동주택 인증 심사항목별 득점비율 분석을 통한 개선 필요 항목 도출)

  • With an awareness of the fact that influence of building industry on the environment problems is great, many countries have been endeavoring to construct sustainable and environmentally-friendly buildings. In Korea, the GBCS (Green Building Certification System) has been in force since 2002. Total 6 types of buildings are dealt in the GBCS. Especially, it is expected that the number of apartment complexes, which are the most common type of residences in Korea, applying for GBCS has increased continuously. In this study, we aim to pick out the items requiring improvement for the green apartment complex. Existing 12 certified apartment complexes were selected. GBCS assessment results and actual conditions of design and construction were investigated and analyzed. Total 18 items requiring improvement were picked out in accordance with the average score-to-allotted point ratio. Relevant particulars expected to be helpful for the next design works were also presented.
