The purpose of this study is to identify the development and utilization status of the 4th industrial revolution technology in the service industry and to derive the characteristics and implications of the 4th industrial revolution technology innovation in the service industry. In this study, research and analysis were conducted based on the business activity survey data in order to identify the technological innovation characteristics of the 4th industrial revolution in the service industry. The 4th industrial revolution technology in the service industry was analyzed in terms of company ratio, technology development and utilization rate, development/utilization technology, technology application field, and technology development method. In addition, the trend of the 4th industrial revolution technology change in the service industry was also analyzed. The 4th industrial revolution technology utilization and development status of other industries was compared and analyzed. In particular, the service industry 4th industrial revolution technology innovation type was divided into 4 types from the perspective of the 4th industrial revolution company ratio and the 4th industrial revolution company ratio growth rate, and types for each service industry were derived. The characteristics and implications of the 4th industrial revolution technology innovation in the service industry were presented from nine perspectives. As a result of the study, it was found that companies in the service industry were developing or using 4th industrial revolution technologies more actively than companies in other industries, and it was analyzed that the gap was further widening. By service industry, information and communication, finance and insurance, and educational service showed relatively high rates of developing or utilizing 4th industrial revolution technologies. The service industries in which the share of 4th industrial revolution companies increased the most were real estate, education service, health and social welfare service. In particular, cloud, big data, and artificial intelligence were analyzed as the three core technologies of the fourth industrial revolution. The service industry can be classified into 4 types in terms of the 4th industrial revolution company ratio and growth rate, and service industry innovation measures that reflect the differentiated innovation characteristics of each type are needed.

  • With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, there is a rising interest in the impact of these changes on Korea's trade. While the previous studies related to the 4th Industrial Revolution are very limited in the field of trade research, this study attempts an empirical analysis regarding the effect of the use of the 4th Industrial Revolution technology on the performance of exporters, based on the data of the Survey of Business Activities during 2017-2019 by the Korean government statistical office. Through the empirical analysis in combination with the propensity score matching (PSM) and the difference-in-difference (DID) analysis, this research confirms that the use of the 4th Industrial Revolution technology has a positive effect on the export performance of Korean exporters.

  • Purpose: This study suggests that Six Sigma MBB should be used as a key talent to lead the fourth industrial revolution era by training them with big data processing capability. Methods: Through the analysis between articles on the fourth industrial revolution and Six Sigma related papers, common competencies of data scientists and Six Sigma MBBs were identified and the big data analysis capabilities needed for Six Sigma MBB were derived. Then, training was conducted to improve the big data analysis capabilities so that Six Sigma MBB is able to design algorithms required in the fourth industrial revolution era. Results: Six Sigma MBBs, equipped with the knowledge in field site improvement and basic statistics, were provided with 40 hours of big data analysis training and then were made to design a big data algorithm. Positive results were obtained after applying a AI algorithm which could forecast process defects in a field site. Conclusion: Six Sigma MBB equipped with big data capability will make the best talent for the fourth industrial revolution era. A Six Sigma MBB has an excellent capability for improving field sites. Utilizing the competencies of MBB can be a key to success in the fourth industrial revolution. We hope that the results of this study will be shared with many companies and many more improved case studies will arise in the future as a result of this study.

  • Objectives: This study investigated the perception and educational needs of the health care professionals in wake of the fourth industrial revolution. Methods: This study was conducted among 115 students from the Department of Dental Hygiene and 122 dental hygienists from Gwangju and Jeonnam, from June 25 to September 20, 2020. The questionnaire consisted of one question on the perception of the concept of the fourth industrial revolution and two questions on the influence of the fourth industrial revolution. It contained a total of eight questions on the desired education hours and education expenditure. Results: The degree of perception of the concept and influence of the fourth industrial revolution was 3.20 for both dental hygiene students and dental hygienists; the average of the two groups was the same. Regarding the educational experience, 'no experience' was the most marked response among both dental hygiene students and dental hygienists and no statistically significant difference was observed (p>0.05). Conclusions: As demanded by the changing times, it is necessary to identify the differences in educational demands of the two groups, develop educational programs according to the fourth industrial revolution, as demanded by the changing times, and apply educational programs that fit the educational needs of each group.

  • Smart city has effect toward its sustainability. Citizens should be viewed as co-creators of cities, not consumers. From this point of view, citizen responsibility and ethics should be emphasized. Now, Smart cities are becoming more important than ever. From now on, urban development is divided into two major categories. One side is the development based on smart city, and the other is urban development that revives the old city. As the city grows bigger and bigger, many problems arise and there are many problems. This tendency must become stronger in the future. But, Stones shall be dressed to exact size and shapes before being laid. Until now, No attempt has been made to declare about Citizen Spirit in Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in order to become a leading country of Smart City, we must first complete the spiritual revolution. From this aspect, this study proposes the "Declaration of the Fourth Industrial Spirit Revolution".

  • This study investigated the consumer acceptance process of the fourth industrial revolution new product to be introduced into the market in the future. The 4th Industrial Revolution new products are technological advances compared to the existing ones. The technology acceptance model that was used in the past has been modified to reflect variables like the social effects of the 4th Industrial Revolution, expected experience, and perceived risk. Modified models were proposed and verified. Six representative new products of the 4th Industrial Revolution were selected and examined by 40 respondents, and the hypotheses were verified using programs such as SPSS and AMOS. And conclusions and implications are as follows. First, the innovativeness of the fourth industrial revolution new products influences positive evaluation factors such as expected experience and perceived usefulness and it also affect positively to the perceived risk. In addition, the expected experience of the fourth industrial revolution new products has a great effect on the perceived usefulness and social influence, but it didn't affect to the perceived risk. Like the results of the TAM model, purchase intention of the fourth industrial revolution new products are strongly influenced by perceived usefulness. Finally, the perceived risk of the new product of the 4th Industrial Revolution had no statistically significant effect on the purchase intention, and the social influence of the 4th Industrial Revolution had a significant effect on the purchase intention. In general, respondents are highly aware of the social impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and seem to be very positive in this respect.
