A landmark is a representative image of a given region that impresses distinct regional characteristics upon visitors. As such, there is a need for each local government to develop a symbolic landmark. We investigated examples of landmark development intended to promote regional revitalization in hopes to provide a basic guideline for developing future landmarks, related tourism products, and tourism promotion policy. Aomori prefecture in Japan was selected as a site for a field study. For a long time, Japan has tried to internationalize and revitalize its provincial regions by establishing various tourism policies. In order to foster the tourism industry in rural areas that are behind in development, Aomori prefecture sought to promote local revitalization through the development of tourism products and cultural space centered on a landmark. Based on this example, we can summarize the conditions for successful landmark development as follows. First, in deciding on the symbolism or the design of a landmark, we must fully investigate and understand the given region and invest sufficient time and funds. Second, we must consider the accessibility of the landmark and make sure its surroundings can also serve as a tourist attraction element. Third, in order to increase the value of visiting a landmark, it is important to provide a variety of things to see and enjoy both inside and outside of the landmark, which can be achieved through continuous operation and management of amenities and diverse programs.

This study is to investigate the environmental levels and trend of dioxins, which was the 3$\^$rd/ year of environmental monitoring research for endocrine disrupting chemicals since 1999. Total 282 samples were analyzed from 115 sites including 26 sites of airs, 43 sites of waters, 11 sites of sediments and 35 sites of soil, which were the same as those of investigated sites in 2000. Sampling period was from June 2001 to June 2002. Target chemicals were seventeen species of 2,3,7,8-chlorine-substituted PCDD and PCDF congeners and were analyzed by the standard methods, established by National Institute Environmental Research (NIER). The average concentration of dioxins in air decreased from 0.324 pg-TEQ/N㎥ in 2000 to 0.287 pg-TEQ/N㎥ in 2001, and those in water and soil were 0.073pg-TEQ/L and 1.703pg-TEQ/dry g, respectively, which was the less values detected in 2000. In sediment, however, the value was 0.086pg-TEQ/dry g, which was the increase from the value of the year 2000. The concentration range of dioxins in air for 26 sites in 17 regions detected were 0.013∼l.664pg-TEQ/N㎥, 4 sites from those were exceeded the Air Quality Standards of Dioxin in Japan (0.6 pg-TEQ/N㎥). The tolerable daily intake of dioxins was calculated at the highest level (1.664) in air, with referring the soil and food data from Japan, was calculated to be 2.85pg-TEQ/kg/day, which was below the level of 4 pg-TEQ/kg/day suggested in KFDA(Korea). While the average concentration of dioxins in 15 big cities was 0.190 pg-TEQ/N㎥, that in 8 medium/small cities constituting an industrial complex was 0.558 pg-TEQ/N㎥. In water, the concentration range detected were 0∼0.946pg-TEQ/L and the trend of the average concentrations shows an increase from those of 1999 but decreased from those of 2000, any sites however were not exceeded the Water Quality Standards of Dioxin in Japan (1 pg- TEQ/L). In soil. the detected range were 0∼43.333 pg-TEQ/dry g and the average concentration decreased, compared with the results of 2000. According to the monitoring results by land utilization, the detected range were 0∼43.333pg-TEQ/dry g in farmland, 0.017∼0.601 pg-TEQ/dry g in the industrial area, 0.005∼0.049pg-TEQ/dry g in the park and 0.008∼1.825 pg-TEQ/dry g in the rest. In sediment, the detected range increased from 0∼0.244 pg-TEQ/dry g to 0∼0.537 pg-TEQ/dry g, based on the results of 2000. For the proper control of dioxins, continuous monitoring needs to be performed and in addition, the dioxin inventory should be prepared for major sources through the dioxin emission survey. These results would provide sound and solid basis for proper decision making of dioxins management like establishment of environmental quality standards in Korea.

Recently, the number of out-of-school adolescents has been increasing, and problems associated with their careers have become an important issue. This study was conducted to identify the relationship between the career barriers and perceived social support type/support source and to examine whether a sense of alienation mediates the relationship between perceived social support and career barriers among out-of-school adolescents preparing for the qualification examination for their high school degree. To accomplish this, a survey of 207 students from the Youth Support Center for out-of-school adolescents-K-Dream-and Qualification Examination Institute located in five regions (Seoul, Busan, Jeju, Gangwon, and Jeonla province) was conducted. Correlation analysis, regression analysis and the Sobel test were used to verify the relationships between variables and mediation effects. The results showed a significant negative correlation between social support and career barriers and a significant positive correlation between alienation and career barriers. Carrier barriers and alienation were highly correlated with parent support and evaluation support. Moreover, a sense of alienation was found to fully mediate the relationship between parental support/teacher support and career barriers, as well as to partially mediate the relationship between peer support and career barriers. A sense of alienation was found to fully mediate the relationship between information support/evaluation support/emotional support/material support and career barriers. These findings imply that, in out-of-school adolescents, career barriers can be reduced through various kinds of social support provided by peers, parents and teachers as it decreases the sense of alienation.

Surface electromyography (sEMG) is mainly used as an on/off switch in the early stage of the study and was then expanded to navigational control of powered-wheelchairs and recognition of sign language or finger gestures. There are difficulties in communication between people who know and do not know sign language; therefore, many efforts have been made to recognize sign language or finger gestures. Recently, use of sEMG signals to recognize sign language signals have been investigated; however, most studies of this topic conducted to date have focused on Chinese finger number gestures. Since sign language and finger gestures vary among regions, Korean- and Chinese-finger number gestures differ from each other. Accordingly, the recognition performance of Korean finger number gestures based on sEMG signals can be severely degraded if the same muscles are specified as for Chinese finger number gestures. However, few studies of Korean finger number gestures based on sEMG signals have been conducted. Thus, this study was conducted to identify potential forearm muscles from which to collect sEMG signals for Korean finger number gestures. To accomplish this, six Korean finger number gestures from number zero to five were investigated to determine the usefulness of the proposed muscles and electrode placements by showing that CNN technique based on sEMG signal after sufficient learning recognizes six Korean finger number gestures in accuracy of 100%.

The purpose of this study was to test the validity and reliability of the Satisfaction with Simulation Experience (SSE) scale for evaluating high-fidelity simulation education for nursing students. Participants were 174 nursing students, seniors enrolled in two colleges in two different regions. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS / WIN 22.0 and tested for construct validity (factor analysis, group comparison test) and reliability (internal consistency). Factor analysis revealed 17 items and 3 factors explaining 71.581% of the variance. Group comparisons showed that satisfaction with simulation training differed significantly across satisfaction to a college life and school record. Internal consistency reliability for all items was .945. For each sub-domain, the reliability coefficient was .929 for 'Debrief', .908 for 'Clinical learning and reflection', and .860 for 'Clinical reasoning'. Nursing students' mean satisfaction with simulation using the high-fidelity simulator was 3.92. Results of this study are expected to be used for evaluating the satisfaction of nursing college students receiving high-fidelity simulation education, and to serve as groundwork for the development and application of nursing simulation education.

This study was conducted from March 15 to March 19, 2019. The purpose of this study was to examine the recognition of uniforms and their images for the selection and development of uniforms and the pursuit of images for dental hygienists and students in some regions. Study methods included frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, ANOVA, chi-squared test, and regression analysis. The collected data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 program. This study found that students majoring in dental hygiene thought that uniforms influenced their image and that they influenced the image of the hospital. In addition, students who experienced clinical practice preferred the pants type to the uniform type and the color to achromatic color. In addition, these students preferred scrubs and the use of Crocs for shoes. The results of this study showed that dental hygiene students considered image transmission through uniforms as important. However, it appears that they prefer practical uniforms and shoes over uniforms that convey external images. This is a part that makes us aware of the need for changes in training clothes and training. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop a practical uniform while expressing the image of the institution, which will be reflected in future dental uniform selection.

This study summarizes test methods and evaluation methods for examining the thermal characteristics of Jeju-type ground heat exchangers (GHXs) installed on Jeju Island, and analyzes the ground temperature and thermal characteristics of ground heat exchangers installed in various regions by using thermal response tests (TRT). Jeju Island is composed of volcanic rock layers, and the groundwater flow is well developed. A Jeju-type GHX can be installed up to 30 m from groundwater level after drilling a borehole. The ground heat exchanger has a structure in which several pipes are inserted into the borehole. In order to examine the characteristics of the Jeju-type GHX, tests were conducted on ground heat exchangers installed in four places on Jeju Island (Pyoseon, Jeju, Namwon, and Hallym). As a result of the analysis of the Jeju-type ground heat exchanger, the ground circulating water temperature stabilized according to the heat injection, depending on the installed location, and was formed within one to three hours. The ground heat exchanger capacity in Hallym was highest at 73.4 kW (cooling) and 82.8 kW (heating), and the Jeju-type calculation was lowest at 34.1 kW (cooling) and 23.3 kW (heating).

The objective of the study was to undertake a phylogenetic diversity census of ruminal archaea based on a meta-analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences that were publicly available in the Ribosomal Database Project. A total of 8,416 sequences were retrieved from the Ribosomal Database Project (release 11, update 5) and included in the construction of a taxonomy tree. Species-level operational taxonomic units (OTUs) were analyzed at a 97% sequence similarity by using the QIIME program. Of the 8,416 sequences, 8,412 were classified into one of three phyla; however, the remaining four sequences could not be classified into a known phylum. The Euryarchaeota phylum was predominant and accounted for 99.8% of the archaeal sequences examined. Among the Euryarchaeota, 65.4% were assigned to Methanobrevibacter, followed by Methanosphaera (10.4%), Methanomassillicoccus (10.4%), Methanomicrobium (7.9%), Methanobacterium (1.9%), Methanimicrococcus (0.5%), Methanosarcina (0.1%), and Methanoculleus (0.1%). The 7,544 sequences that had been trimmed to the V2 and V3 regions clustered into 493 OTUs. Only 17 of those 493 OTUs were dominant groups and accounted for more than 1% of the 7,544 sequences. These results can help guide future research into the dominant ruminal methanogens that significantly contribute to methane emissions from ruminants, research that may lead to the development of anti-methanogenic compounds that inhibit these methanogens regardless of diet or animal species.

The assessment of the light trespass in terms of light pollution is difficult due to the complexity of light environments. As a result, the light pollution research has examined the influences of light pollution using simulation program such as RELUX. However, there still exists a differences between the real measurement value and the simulation value for the light trespass. In this paper, we analyzed the light trespass using the RELUX simulation program, and compared results with real measurement values. In this study, the regions (Seoul, Incheon, etc.) were investigated regarding the light trespass for outdoor lighting. The survey of vertical illuminance was analyzed measuring point (more than 2 point) out the window that was expected to light trespass for the higher anticipated to illumination. The illuminational predicted values for the RELUX program were compared with maximum one. As a result of this study, the illuminational errors between the measurement values and predicted values for the simulation were examined from -0.97 lx to 0.65 lx except 2.08 lx and -7.70 lx. The light trespass was analyzed the higher by how much the located close to the height, length, width of the outdoor lighting for the window. For measuring predicted values using RELUX, it was not sufficiently considered in the simulation conditions because of environmental factors and investigator error etc. Limitations of this study include the limited number of measurements, and greater field data is required in future studies.

A honeycomb panel is a plate made by attaching two surface plateson eitherside of a honeycomb core. The honeycomb plate hasexcellent specific strength and energy absorption and is suitable for use in regions where good impact resistance is required. Recently, with the increasing the need for a lightweight design to facilitate transportation, numerous studies have been conducted using aluminum honeycomb plates as body materials for vehicles such as automobiles and high-speed trains. In addition, honeycomb plates have excellent sound deadening properties, as well as excellent heat insulation and durability. Savings in weight using lightweight materials such as aluminum alloy for honeycomb panel's skin can lead to increase fuel economy and reduction in air pollution. In this study, in order to improve the design technology of the honeycomb plate material, the manufacturing technology of the aluminum honeycomb core and honeycomb plate material and various mechanical properties of the honeycomb plate were evaluated. From the results, it was found that the design of the manufacturing process of the aluminum honeycomb plate, as well as itsproduction and characteristics, were improved. The resulting excellent energy absorption capability of the honeycomb plate was due to the repetitive core buckling, indicating that the higher the compressive strength, the higher the strength per bonded area.
