  • In the past five years, form construction, which accounts for approximately 25% of the total construction period, has continued to occur without a significant decrease in the number of deaths, with the largest proportion of collapse accidents. Accordingly, this study analyzed the difference in perception between the manager and worker by a questionnaire survey on the degree of risk and safety management level regarding a mold collapse accident. The survey was conducted in three groups: safety manager, field worker, and field manager. The results of the survey were analyzed by an independent sample T-Test using the SPSS program. As a result, there was almost no difference in recognition between managers, but a significant difference in recognition between managers and workers. In addition, there was a difference in management perception between the administrator and worker, which clearly shows the difference in the position between the administrator who manages and supervises hazardous disaster factors and the worker who works directly in the field. Such differences in perception can be a factor that cannot be mitigated. Based on this study, more developed research can narrow the perception gap between managers and workers and be used as a basic material for disaster research.

  • A collaborative robot(Cobot) is one of the production systems presented in the 4th industrial revolution and are systems that can maximize efficiency by combining the exquisite hand skills of workers and the ability of simple repetitive tasks of robots. Also, research on the development of an efficient interface method between the worker and the robot is continuously progressing along with the solution to the safety problem arising from the sharing of the workspace. In this study, a method for controlling the robot by recognizing the worker's hand signal was presented to enhance the convenience and concentration of the worker, and the safety of the worker was secured by introducing the concept of a safety zone. Various technologies such as robot control, PLC, image processing, machine learning, and ROS were used to implement this. In addition, the roles and interface methods of the proposed technologies were defined and presented for using educational media. Students can build and adjust the educational media system by linking the introduced various technologies. Therefore, there is an excellent advantage in recognizing the necessity of the technology required in the field and inducing in-depth learning about it. In addition, presenting a problem and then seeking a way to solve it on their own can lead to self-directed learning. Through this, students can learn key technologies of the 4th industrial revolution and improve their ability to solve various problems.

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the industrial worker's knowledge, attitude, and practice about occupational health and to provide the basic data for the development of industrial health services. The study was undertaken from January 15 to January 30, 1993. 549 industrial workers at the Industrial Complex located in Chonbuk Province were participated in this study. The results were as follows; 1. The Knowledge, Attitude and Practice leveles of Workers about Occupational Health. The levels were measured by five point scale. The mean score of knowledge was 2. 59 point out of 4. The mean score of attitude was 2.37 point out of 4. The mean score of practice was 2. 38 point out of 4. 2. The analysis of their knowledge" attitude, and practice about general characteristics. 1) There was significant difference among different age groups. $(P{\leqq}0.0001)$ -. The group of age 25-29 was the highest value in knowledge and attitude. -. The group of age over 50 was highest value in practice. 2) There was significant difference between sexual groups in all items. -. Male workers were higher than Female workers in all items. (P=0.0000) 3) There was significant difference according to the marital status in all items. -. Married workers were higher than Single workers in all items. (P = 0.0000) 4) There was significant difference among different groups of educational level in attitude and practice. (P<0.05) The value was positivly correlated to their educational level. 5) There was significant difference among the groups of job-part in knowledge and practice. (P=0.000, P=0.031) -. Office workers were higher than Production workers in all items. 6) There was significant difference among different group of job experience in knowledge and attitude. (P=0.0000. P=0.0387) The value was positively correlated to the years length of job experience. 7) There was significant difference among the groups of different monthly income in all items. (P=0.000) The value was positively correlated to their monthly income.

  • There are various ICT technologies continuously being developed to reduce damage by industrial accidents. And research is being conducted to minimize damage in case of industrial accidents by utilizing sensors, IoT, big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence. In this paper, we propose a design method for a smart device capable of multilateral communication between devices and smart repeater in the communication shaded Areas such as closed areas of industrial sites, mountains, oceans, and coal mines. The proposed device collects worker's information such as worker location and movement speed, and environmental information such as terrain, wind direction, temperature, and humidity, and secures a safe distance between workers to warn in case of a dangerous situation and is designed to be attached to a helmet. For this, we proposed functional requirements for smart devices and design methods for implementing each requirement using sensors and modules in smart device. And we derived evaluation items for performance evaluation of the smart device and proposed an evaluation environment for performance evaluation in mountainous area.

  • The purpose of this case study is to discuss the issues and challenges pertaining to industrial safety. The case study begins with the shocking incident of the brutal killing of top-executive of the company by agitated workers. Inspite of having conducive environment for business, Italian subsidiary Robusto Muro Ltd had to confront industrial Relations issues at an incredible and unprecedented level. Management perspective, workers viewpoint, competitors approach and diplomatic comments by political bigwigs have also been incorporated so that the students may have 3-dimensional understanding of the scenario. The case of such genre will facilitate the students to comprehend and discuss the employee-employer relationship and industrial safety, in particular and industrial relations and IR machinery, in general.

  • On the basis of the guideline "2012-104(2012.9.26.)" notified by the ministry of employment and labor, this paper provided the baseline data and the improvement proposal in applying risk assessment to a construction site by group interview & survey of construction workers. The worker's awareness and action plan of safety and health were investigated by numerical analysis. From the result of group interview and the survey of construction workers, it was found that most of construction workers feel the danger during the work. The results also shows that risk assessment can help to change & raise the awareness of safety and to reduce the industrial disaster. In addition, simple safety management activity such as TBM & active education of safety will be necessary for safe workspace and the active TBT(tool box talk) which combines TBM & the education of safety will be also effective.

  • The service industry will be essentially extended during the economic growth and industrial development. Especially, the role of workers meeting the customers in service industry is very important from the view point of purchase intention. So many companies in service industry endeavor to increase the work efficacies of workers through the various prizes and incentives, and improve the job performance by additional education. Recently, the incentive tours are comprehensively accepted as an efficient tool to promote the loyalty and job performance of workers. The incentive tours enable the worker to gain the cultural experiences. They will experience not only the natural heritages and antiques, but also the local life culture and arts culture. The culture marketing for worker as the internal customer increase the worker's loyalty and the ties among workers, and therefore, their job performance will be increased. The empirical results (162 workers surveyed) showed the incentive tours have improved both the individual and group's job performance at a cosmetic sales organization. So it is recommend to plan the organization specific incentive tour in order to improve the productivity of the service organization.
