  • This paper critically examines the role and function of religion prior to the full-out advent of the 4th industrial revolution. We can understand 'The vision of Daesoon Jinrihoe (大巡眞理會)' as a mission to foresee and create a prospective figure for a future society in the person of the Lord on High, Jeungsan (甑山) as a religious dimension. However, the existence ground of religion relies on giving positive meaning to the present time after reinterpreting religious doctrine to reflect changing realities. Jeungsan (甑山) said that the age to come is 'the age of the human majesty (人尊)'. This means that humans will take the lead and control the revolution of scientific technology to progress and benefit humanity. Problems such as 'human alienatio', 'increased polarization', and 'destruction of the environment' still arise and deepen because the motive of 'the Industrial Revolution' was built upon 'knowledge' within the context of a Knowledge-Based Society. Therefore, we can say that the role of religion will newly rise to the forefront in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Consequently, religion should face matters squarely and suggest viable alternatives. This paper deals with reinterpreting the concept of 'the resolution of grievances for mutual beneficence (解冤相生)', one of the four teachings of Daesoon Jinrihoe, within the context of the coming era of the 4th industrial revolution. My research is divided into the following three parts: First, I determined the teachings of Daesoon Jinrihoe and the original meaning of 'the resolution of grievances for mutual beneficence', and then I disclosed the way we can reinterpret the general meaning of this concept for application in the ear of the 4th industrial revolution. Second, from the perspective of the religious dimension, I inquired into factors regarding alienation and conflict in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. I focused on human alienation from labor, identity confusion, potential conflicts between humans and post-humans, and the characteristics of the 4th industrial revolution. Third, I examined potential cures for alienation and conflict through the principle of the resolution of grievances for mutual beneficence. I tried to enlarge the interpretive prospects of Daesoon's main teaching in light of the era of the 4th industrial revolution through a new interpretation and application that employs the concept of 'the resolution of grievances for mutual beneficence (解冤相生)' in order to cure the alienation and conflict.

  • In this paper, we propose the softwareization of broadcasting system. Recently, the topic of industry is the fourth industrial revolution. The fourth industrial revolution is evolving from physical to virtualization. The Industrial Revolution is based on IT technology. Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and the Internet of Things, which are famous for Alpha Go, are based on software. Among IT, software is the main driver of industrial terrain change. The systemization of software on the basis of cloud environment is proceeding rapidly. System development through softwarization can reduce time to market lead time, hardware cost reduction and manual operation compared to existing hardware system. By developing and implementing broadcasting system such as IPTV based on cloud, lead time for opening service compared to existing hardware system can be shortened by more than 90% and investment cost can be saved by about 40%. In addition, the area of the system can be reduced by 50%. In addition, efficiency can be improved between infrastructures, shortening of trouble handling and ease of maintenance. Finally, we can improve customer experience through rapid service opening.

  • As the industrial paradigm shift, often condensed as the "4th Industrial Revolution," gains momentum, there is a growing need to actively introduce digital healthcare into the medical field. The new administration announced its commitment to become a global leader in the biohealth and digital healthcare sector. To fulfill this pledge, preemptive policy leadership and attention from the government are required. The recent issue of legislating non-face-to-face medical care suggests that introducing digital healthcare goes beyond simply adopting new technologies. Incorporating digital healthcare involves changing the existing healthcare delivery process and coordinating the roles of stakeholders. To successfully change the structure of the medical industry, a mid- to long-term roadmap should be meticulously organized and promoted. Policy efforts are needed to resolve conflicts and lead to compromises through continuous communication with interest groups.

  • This study examined current status and futurity of libraries based on the survey of librarians awareness in the era of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution and sought to find effective response strategies for future changes. For this purpose, this study reviewed research issues against the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution based on preceding researches in our library area and other fields. The awareness survey was conducted of librarians of several types including national libraries and public libraries. The results are as follows: First, librarians were interested in the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, but they thought that new technologies are poorly adopted in their libraries. Second, librarians were most frequently using Desktop PCs, mobile phones, RFID tags, and QR codes for library services. Third, librarians were required intelligent-information services because of their effectiveness, but their libraries did not provide them for users. Fourth, librarians expected that the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution brings positive influences to libraries' future. On the other hands, they also concerned about their job losses. Fifth, librarians agreed with necessity of new technologies of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution and they especially wanted educations and training related with technologies. Also, technical supports for online services and simply repeated works are required.

  • Since Schwab mentioned the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2016, discussions have been ongoing about it and the future society. The Fourth Industrial Revolution exceeds the development of technology and influences society, culture, and lifestyle. Moreover, in the face of the COVID-19 crisis, society continues to experience and realize the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Although we hope that this era will surely improve human life, we are also concerned about human alienation and social and economic polarization that may emerge as a consequence. How, then, does Christianity contribute to the public space and set the direction for education in this day and age? This study focused on the role of Christianity and the direction of education during the Fourth Industrial Revolution. First, I examine problems in terms of the inner and outer aspects of individuals and communities that may occur during the Fourth Industrial Revolution through the perspectives of Mitchell, a psychologist, Bellah, a sociologist, McGrath, a theologian, and Bostrom, a philosopher. Through their theories, we can view the lives of individuals in the real, virtual, and transcendental worlds of this era. I find that Christianity can provide a transcendent norm in this world, give meaning to life, and change people and the world. Therefore, I suggest the creation and expression of symbols as a direction for education. For this form of education, I recommend five steps, namely, observing, entering, discovering, participating, and making symbols. In this manner, people can represent the kingdom of God in the real world.
