  • Industrial Psychology is to study and analyze human behavior or working at operation, both to look into the rules in that and to make analysis of rules made from theological basis adapted to reality, wi th methods and knowledges that Psychology gives, by methods that are observation, experiment , investigation and so on, to contribute to improving the production efficiency and promoting the Laborer's welfare, In this paper, the side of Psychology in labor accidents will be studied as follows. 1.The Presentation of Problems 1.1. UI, Supporting Old Age's Prospective Memory (노인의 미래기억을 보조하는 UI)

  • 노인들은 연령에 따라 기억력의 저하가 일어나면서 일상생활을 영유하는데 많은 불편함을 겪고 있다. 정해진 시간에 약을 복용하는 것을 기억하거나 가스 불에 물을 끊인 후 끄는 것을 기억하는 것 등 의도한 행위를 실제로 수행하거나, 진행 중인 행위와 미래에 수행하여야 할 행위 등을 기억 (미래기억; prospective memory) 해야 하는 데 부담을 갖는다. 특히 노인은 시간-의존 미래기억(time-based PM)에서 다른 미래기억보다 연령에 따른 낮은 기억 수행을 보였다. (Einstein & McDaniel, 1995) 본 논문은 인터뷰와 설문을 통해 노인의 일상생활의 패턴을 파악하고, 일상생활과 비슷한 상황에서 노인의 시간-의존 미래기억(time-based prospective memory)과 노인의 자율성(autonomy)을 높이기 위한 몇 가지 UI 방식을 알아보고자 하였다. 실험 결과, 노인 실험 참가자는 사건의존 미래기억에서 의도와 연합된 '맥락 단서'를 제시하는 방식을 더 선호하였으며, 시간의존 미래기억 실험에서는 대학생 집단보다 미래기억 수행 시 외부 도구에 대한 강한 의존도를 보였다. 이는 적절한 미래기억 보조도구가 제시된다면 더 높은 수행을 보일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

The Characteristics of Elderly Drivers' Driving Behavior on Intersection Using Graphic Driving Simulator

  • To find out why elderly drivers have more frequent traffic accidents on intersection than any other one, this study was conducted to examine the characteristics of elderly drivers' driving behavior on intersection using a multifaceted driving behavior indicator. To do that, the driving behavior of both young adult drivers and elderly drivers were compared and analyzed, using a graphic driving simulator. As a result, compared with young adult drivers, elderly drivers showed a poor driving performance, and a high ratio of visual scanning time on the specific direction regardless of driving situation. Also, compared with young adult drivers, elderly drivers had a high overall level of arousal, and the phasic arousal activity on the specific stimulus was low. These results imply that through the intervention which induces the change in multifaceted indicators mentioned earlier, they could be helped to drive more safely on intersection.

A Study on Work and Environmental Variables Explaining Newcomers' Turnover Intentions (신입사원의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 작업환경 변수에 관한 연구)

  • This study was intended to examine various work and environmental variables explaining newcomers' turnover intentions. Data were collected from 901 newcomers using online survey. Results of multiple regression analyses showed that individual-job fit, reward dissatisfaction, fringe benefit dissatisfaction, vision in organization, participation in decision making, realistic job preview, leader dissatisfaction, co-worker relationship and work environment explained significant variances of turnover intentions. Data were classified into full-time and part time employees based on employment type and into a large and a small-medium company based on company size. There were small differences in significant variables explaining turnover intentions based on company size as well as employment type. Finally implications and future research were discussed.

The Effects of Online Coaching Program on Improving Eating Habit Behaviors (식습관 개선을 위한 온라인 코칭프로그램의 개발 및 효과성 검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the online coaching program on improving eating habit behaviors. The online coaching program was based on the model of habit behaviors change process(Tak et al., 2019) and the success factors on improving eating habit behaviors(Choi et al., 2020), and previous research showing the effects of habit change. Participants were 20 adults, selected through telephone interviews over the age of 19 in the metropolitan area. They were divided into the experiment and control groups, and participated one-on-one coaching program. Data of 17 people were used for the final analysis, and weight, dietary habits, eating behaviors, dietary self-efficacy, self-regulation, and life satisfaction were measured at two times(pre and post). Results showed that there were significant interaction effects between time interval and groups for all the dependent variables except self-regulation and life satisfaction. In other words, there were significant changes in weight, dietary habits, eating behaviors, dietary self-efficacy in the experimental group between time interval, whereas there were no significant changes for the control group. Based on these results, the significance and practical implications, limitations of this research, and suggestions for further research were discussed.

  • Purpose: This study seeks to address the following research questions: (1) What are the fundamental principles of sports psychology that can be applied to business leadership? (2) How can these principles enhance business leadership effectiveness? As a result, the study may evaluate the necessity and benefits of incorporating sports psychology principles into business leadership practices. Research design, data and methodology: The data collection process in this study involved a systematic Literature review approach, following the prior literature analysis guidelines by numerous past studies. This methodical approach to selecting articles can be useful in synthesizing existing literature and can be referred to as Literature review and selection. Results: The literature analysis has indicated that there is much support for assumptions underpinning business leadership modules, which can be enhanced by applying sports psychology. This topic discusses the traits of self-positivity and mental toughness, goal perspective and interpersonal relationships within a team, and visualization in a sporting organization that can be implemented in business management to support organizational performance. Conclusions: All in all, it can be concluded that organizations must consider adopting Sports Psychology principles into their Leadership Development Programs. Driving Behavior Characteristic Analysis of an Older Driver on a Driving Simulator (운전 시뮬레이터를 이용한 고령자의 운전행동 특성 분석)

  • Using driving simulator, we analyzed the driving behavior of an older driver on intersection and measured the pychological load to HRV. As a results, older drivers started to enter the more complex intersection on a great distance and on low velocity for safety driving. On the other hand, the value of HRV would be lower on more complex intersections. It suggested that an older driver allowed for his own losses of physiological and cognitive function and recognized low level of driving confidence relatively.

Effects of Visual Information Processing Skills on Intersection's Driving Performance of Elderly Drivers (고령 운전자의 시각 정보처리 능력이 교차로 운전수행에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine elderly drivers' driving performances at the intersections, suggested by Bao and Boyle(2009), according to visual information processing skills. Visual information processing skills of elderly drivers were measured by using the visual working memory task, developed by Min et al.(2006). Seven elderly drivers were divided into two groups(good/poor) depending on the level of visual information processing skills and eleven younger drivers were a contrast group. This study examined the differences of driving performance(i.e., intersection passing times, approach velocities, speed variation and handling variations) among three groups. The results showed that elderly drivers having the poor visual information processing skills passed more slowly through the intersection than the contrast group, and passing times between elderly drivers having the good visual information processing skills and the contrast group was not significantly different. It is suggested that elderly drivers having the poor visual information processing skills use more times when they pass through the intersection, because they don't process a lot of hazardous and latent hazardous factors quickly.
