  • Purpose: The transition from a traditional to a modern food distribution system induces several adjustments on the supply side since supermarkets must collect food on a larger scale and with higher quality standards. This situation becomes a real challenge for small scale farmers to access supply in a modern distribution channel. This gives rise to an original solution: supplying supermarkets through farmer associations or cooperatives. Based on this context of Vietnam linking to the case of distribution science, the paper proposes an industrial organization model of the food processing system in developing countries. The model presents the competitive relationship between two competing distribution systems: a traditional and a modern one. The former is composed of several retailers that sell their products on the traditional market while the latter is based on cooperatives that collect food and negotiate with supermarkets. The current study is to discuss the conditions under which the evolution of the food distribution system occurs by using the proposed model. Research design, data, and methodology: Based on the proposed model, the study explored the quantity flow from small producers to consumers through a Nash equilibrium and address the question of farmer repartition by a free-entry equilibrium. Results: The result shows that there is a unique positive equilibrium in the food market with participation of cooperative associations; Since farmers serve cooperative associations, they not only receive quantity incentive prices but also share profits within their organization. Conclusions: This study shows a unique distribution equilibrium where the profits of farmers working for middlemen and cooperatives are maximized. Further insights were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the influence factors of job stress and resilience to recovery in an organization on job satisfaction and immersion in the organization. For this reason, we developed a questionnaire scale based on previous research, and conducted a questionnaire survey of the sales staff of company S. As a result of the analysis, it was found that job stress had a significant effect on job satisfaction, and job stress had a significant effect on recovery elasticity. It was shown that recovery elasticity affects job satisfaction and organizational immersion, and that job satisfaction affects organizational immersion, but the hypothesis that job stress has a significant effect on organizational immersion was rejected. In addition, it was found that recovery elasticity mediates the relationship between job stress, job satisfaction, and organizational immersion. The results of this study are expected to be used as guidelines for various practical plans that can improve the resilience of recovery as well as stress management of organizational members in the organization.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the Taeoom experience of male nurses to understand the essence of the experience. Accordingly, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 male nurses with more than 1 year of clinical experience who had experience in Taeoom experience, and the data were analyzed using the phenomenological research method (Colaizzi). As a result of this study, the Taeoom experience of male nurses was divided into 37 meaning units, 19 themes, 4 theme cluster collections and the 4 theme cluster collections of this study were 'The experience of completely changing a person's life', 'Surviving in a female organization', 'A nursing organization that is difficult to change', and 'I am a nurse'. The results of this study suggest that multifaceted efforts are required to understand the characteristics of male nurses at the level of nursing organizations and to integrate them within the organization.

  • For the risk analysis and risk assessment techniques to be effectively applied to the field of information technology (IT) security, it is necessary that the required activities and specific techniques to be applied and their order of applications are to be determined through a proper risk management model. If the adopted risk management model does not match with the characteristics of host organization, an inefficient management of security would be resulted. In this paper, a risk management model which can be well adapted to Korean domestic IT environments is proposed for an efficient security management of IT. The structure and flow of the existing IT-related risk management models are compared and analysed, and their common and/or strong characteristics are extracted and incorporated in the proposed model in the light of typical threat types observed in Korean IT environments.

  • An important problem to be carried into a plan on the occasion for introduction of TQC is to establish the clear-cut policy and workable system on QC. In connection with escalation the product liability in recent days, especially, a point to he considered in relation the real state of enterprise, it seems likely to be difficult an effective performance without distribution of the definite duality function to each departments in the company, and to define the quality function, it should be educed and coordinated under agreement organization wide participation and conciliation. In this paper, we have tried to have a more effective graft the European style QC on the oriental enterprise, by means of presenting a model that manages synthetically a way of deployment the fundamental factors affecting quality, and establishing the control subject in each function unit.

  • Future war needs a lot of changes for military organization. In this circumstance, it is importance the role of the Military Equipment Command Separation (MECS). In case of Korea Marine Corps, in spite of being MECS, Marine Corps has formed supply chain depended on Amy and Navy even it. Thus we proposed a new SCM of Marine Corps with Sense and Response concept. There are many problems and arguments to implement of new SCM. Therefore it is essential solving the problems but we don't know core problems and right solving directions. So, In this study, we present core problems deduction and selection of solving direction using TP(Thinking Process).

  • The Certification system will be able to expect that effect of marketing and the corporate image rising, if the certification body guarantees the contents of certification against industrial technical advance and safety, environment and efficiency, quality when it is suitable in the standard which is provided. The certification system where the private organization operates but recently on the legal notarization outside is disordering and the trust regarding the certification falls and the objective and gist of origin are damaged. But recently the trust of certification has fallen and the objective and gist of origin are damaged. Because the non-government certifications are disordering. Also the damage of the consumers majority occurs but it is insufficient the investigation analysis against the present condition regarding a non-government certification system and the operation actual condition. So it is necessary the actual condition where the countermeasure against hereupon is urgent. In this study, we present the operation direction of efficient against non-government certification system through investigation and the analysis.

  • This paper suggests a procedure to define business process improvement (BPI) projects with analysis results based on the cause-and-effect chain. The procedure developed in this paper focuses on eliminating root causes of business problems resulted from abnormal events occurred in business process executions. First, we develop three criteria used to make clusters of the root causes where a cluster of root causes will be eliminated together by a BPI project defined based on the cluster. Second, we develop a method to formulate desired expectations from the BPI project. Also, we suggest a method to calculate the relative importance of the BPI projects that help a BPI organization determine priorities of them. We illustrate the procedure and the methods with some examples for the domestic mail delivery process in the postal service industry.

  • This study proposed a method to apply risk management standards to a product safety management program and reviewed cases where a risk management cycle is applied to the product safety management program. Comparing the four product safety management programs suggested by several authors yielded common features of the risk management cycle: (1) organization for product safety, (2) risk identification, (3) risk evaluation, (4) risk treatment, (5) monitoring/communication, and (6) documentation. A Japan company(Ricoh)'s case showed that the risk management cycle to treat product liability risks can be used as a successful product safety management program.
