A Low-power, Low-noise DLL-based Frequency Multiplier for Reference Clock Generator (기준 클럭 발생을 위한 저 젼력, 저 잡음 DLL기반 주파수 체배기)

  • This paper is designed frequency multiplier with low phase noise using DLL technique. The VCDL is designed using a differential structure to reduce common-mode noise. The proposed frequency multiplier is fabricated in a 65nm, 1.2V TSMC CMOS process, and the operating frequency range from 10MHz to 24MHz was measured. The SSB phase noise is measured to be -125dBc/Hz at 1MHz from 38.4MHz carrier. A total area of $0.032mm^2$were consumed in the chip, including the output buffer. Total current is 1.8mA at 1.2V supply voltage.

Determination of Optimal Design Level for the Semiconductor Polishing Process by Taguchi Method (다구찌 기법을 활용한 반도체 연마 공정의 최적 설계수준 결정)

  • Purpose: In this study, an optimal design level of influencing factors on semiconductor polishing process was determined to minimize flexion of both sides on wafers. Methods: First, significant interactions are determined by the stepwise regression method. ANOVA analysis on SN ratio and mean of dependent variable are performed to draw mean adjustment factors. In addition, the optimal levels of mean adjustment factors are decided by comparing means of each level of mean adjustment factors. Results: As a result of ANOVA, a mean adjustment factor was determined as a width of formed flexion on the plate. The mean of the difference has the nearest to 0 in the case when the width of formed flexion has level 2 (4mm). Conclusion: Optimal design levels of semiconductor polishing process are determined as follows; (i) load applied to the wafer carrier has a level 1 (3psi), (ii) load applied to the wafer has a level 1(3psi), (iii) the amount of slurry supplied during polishing has a level 3 (300 co/min), (iv) the width of formed flexion on the plate has level 2 (4mm).

  • The This research paper deals with research on the 3D strip layout design of HEV UV terminal by utilizing the Cimatron Die Design, an automation module. To ensure smooth stamping of the product, strip layout was corrected for 33.5 degrees of slope, and blank layout of the double-width, 1-line, 1-pull out inner carrier was then optimized as a single arrangement. To mass-produce two different terminals from one common die, 3D strip layout design and die design were completed in 29 different processes.

  • In this paper, we proposed and implemented a quality measurement algorithm for IS-95 reverse-link signal. To measure the quality of the received signal, equalization, carrier frequency/phase offset estimation, and timing synchronization are essential. And, all signal processing are carried out with baseband signal. The equalizer works with 4-oversampled samples to remove ICI(InterChip Interference). The frequency/phase offset estimator is followed by timing synchronizer since it can work without aid of data and timing information. As the number of interpolation in timing synchronization increases, the measurement accuracy improves, but computation load increases simultaneously. Therefore, one need to choose adequately the number of interpolation regarding to the platform performance to be used for the proposed algorithm.

UV Blocking Effect of $TiO_2/SiO_2$ Composite Powders Prepared by Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis (초음파 분사 열분해 장치에서 제조된 $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 복합 분체의 UV 차단 효과)

  • The silica nanoparticles were used as support of catalyst, filling material, electronic assembler, thin film material, and sensor material. And, the titania nanoparticles were used as pigment, dielectric substance, sensor and photocatalyst. In this paper, the spherical composite particles of $TiO_2/SiO_2$with narrow size distribution and phase pure were synthesized by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method from $TiOSO_4$ and colloidal silica solution. Using ultrasonic apparatus, this starting solution was vaporized to droplets, and these droplets were induced into tube furnace by carrier gas. The resulting composite powder was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, TG-DTA, in vitro sun protection factor(SPF) and BET surface area analysis.

  • Water quality has been deteriorated by the increasing amount of industrial waste water that is due to the better standard of living. In order to lessen the polluted water and substantially reutilize it at factories, a new method is needed. The plasma generator, which uses discharge current below 1,500 voltage and processes at extremely low temperature, has more strong oxidization than current method and an advantage of miniaturizing the apparatus in dealing with waster water by producing carrier gas at room temperature. This study were measured on the 3 kinds of waster water to the plasma generator for 120 minutes. As results, COD was almost decreased and removed in 15 minutes. The results suggest that the plasma generator can be used reduce COD and removal of color for various waster water, which can be reutilized as industrial water, It would be of benefit to the country like Korea in which qualified water is deficient.

  • Strip layout design in progressive die is an important factor that determines the applicability of mass production. In this study, the layout design of bracket strips used fer automobiles was executed. The strip layout design was made in 3D with the use of Cimatron die design, an automation module rather than a 3D modeling module. Blank layout has been optimized through a layer arrangement of the wide run positioning inside carrier (double-row and two-pass type). The 3D CAD/CAM software used was Cimatron Die Design; the strip layout design was completed in ten processes.

  • This paper proposed a control simulation method for design and verification of the transport system in an automobile assembly line based on digital manufacturing system. The design of the transport system involves two major activities: mechanical design (device specification) and electrical design (device behavior and system control). Conventionally, the simulation and emulation system of the transport system focuses on the abstract level, which mainly deals with design verification, alternative comparison, and system diagnosis. Although it can provide overall system visibility in monitoring how well it works in the process and view, its simulation models are not sufficiently realistic to be used for a detailed design or for implementation purposes. In this paper, a digital simulation model for a transport system in an automotive assembly line is constructed by adapting a digital manufacturing methodology. We use the concept of the "Virtual Probe", which transport a carrier instead of the belt of the conveyor. In conclusion, the proposed method is valuable in the process of test run in the shop floor. This method would reduce the time and effort for validating the manufacturing system and improve the productivity and integrity of the control program.

  • With successful extraction of growth factors and bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs) from mammalian teeth, many researchers have supported development of a bone substitute using tooth-derived substances. Some studies have also expanded the potential use of teeth as a carrier for growth factors and stem cells. A broad overview of the published findings with regard to tooth-derived regenerative tissue engineering technique is outlined. Considering more than 100 published papers, our team has developed the protocols and techniques for processing of bone graft material using extracted teeth. Based on current studies and studies that will be needed in the future, we can anticipate development of scaffolds, homogenous and xenogenous tooth bone grafts, and dental restorative materials using extracted teeth.

An Exploratory Study For the Social Feasibility Of the Dredging the Water-Depth of Busan Port (부산항 컨테이너터미널의 증심준설에 관한 사회적 타당성 분석을 위한 탐색적 연구)

  • As the containership has been large-sized, it is important to analyze the social feasibility for the dredging the water-depth of Busan port. We tries to do an exploratory study to analyze the needs of the core port user group by using the survey methodology. We did the survey for the ocean carriers, terminal operating companies, ship pilots respectively. Collected data was analyzed by frequency and cross tabulation method. Result suggests that the Busan North Port should be dredged to the 16 meter depth and Busan New Port should be dredged to the 17 meter depth. And the priority of the depth dredging is ranked as Gamman pier, Sinsundae pier, New Port and Jasungdae pier.
