타부 탐색법을 이용한 유도전동기 파라미터 오토튜닝 (Estimation to Induction Motor Parameters Using Tabu-Search)

  • In order to simplify the offline identification of induction motor parameters, a method based on optimization using a Tabu Search algorithm is proposed. The Tabu Search algorithm is used to minimize the error between the actual data and an estimated model. The robustness of the method is shown by identifying parameters of the induction motor in three different cases. The simulation results show that the method successfully estimates the motor parameters.

  • As the interest of flexible manufacturing systems and computer integrated manufacturing systems increase, the distribution of centralized control systems using industrial control networks is getting more attention. In this paper, we investigate the rate-based traffic control of industrial control networks to improve the performance regarding the throughput, fairness, and error rates. Especially, we consider the protocol of Lon-$Works^{(TM)}$ which consists of all OSI 7-layers and supports various communication media at a low cost. Basically, the proposed rate-based traffic control system is closed loop by utilizing the feedback channel errors, which shows improved performance when compared with other industrial control networks commonly operated in open loop. To this end, an additional network node called monitoring node is introduced to check the channel status without increasing the channel load. The Proposed control loop is in effect whenever the feedback channel error becomes greater than an admittable value. We demonstrate the improved performance of the controlled network system in view of throughput and fairness measures by implementing the lab-scale network system based on LonWorks and through the experimentation upon it.

  • The study on dual arm robot manipulator which consists of two 6-DOF srms and one 2-DOF torso is introduced. This dual arm robot manipulator is designed for automation of assembly process in automotive manufacturing line. Each industrial 6-DOF arm can be used as a stand-alone type of industrial robot manipulator with 6-DOF and as a manipulator part of dual arm robot at the same lime. These structures help the robot maker willing to succeed in emerging market of dual arm robots have the high competitive power for the current industrial robot market and the emerging market of dual arm robot at the same time. The research results of the design concept, workspace analysis and the PC-based controller will be introduced.

Technology Acceptance Modeling based on User Experience for Autonomous Vehicles

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to precede the acceptance study based on automation steps and user experience that was lacked in the past study on the core technology of autonomous vehicle, ADAS. The first objective was to construct the acceptance model of ADAS technology that is the core technology, and draw factors that affect behavioral intention through user experience-based evaluation by applying driving simulator. The second one was to see the change of factors on automation step of autonomous vehicle through the UX/UA score. Background: The number of vehicles with the introduction of ADAS is increasing, and it caused change of interaction between vehicle and driver as automation is being developed on the particular drive factor. For this reason, it is becoming important to study the technology acceptance on how driver can actively accept giving up some parts of automated drive operation and handing over the authority to vehicle. Method: We organized the study model and items through literature investigation and the scenario according to the 4 stages of automation of autonomous vehicle, and preceded acceptance assessment using driving simulator. Total 68 men and woman were participated in this experiment. Results: We drew results of Performance Expectancy (PE), Social Influence (SI), Perceived Safety (PS), Anxiety (AX), Trust (T) and Affective Satisfaction (AS) as the factors that affect Behavioral Intention (BI). Also the drawn factors shows that UX/UA score has a significant difference statistically according to the automation steps of autonomous vehicle, and UX/UA tends to move up until the stage 2 of automation, and at stage 3 it goes down to the lowest level, and it increases a little or stays steady at stage 4. Conclusion and Application: First, we presented the acceptance model of ADAS that is the core technology of autonomous vehicle, and it could be the basis of the future acceptance study of the ADAS technology as it verifies through user experience-based assessment using driving simulator. Second, it could be helpful to the appropriate ADAS development in the future as drawing the change of factors and predicting the acceptance level according to the automation stages of autonomous vehicle through UX/UA score, and it could also grasp and avoid the problem that affect the acceptance level. It is possible to use these study results as tools to test validity of function before ADAS offering company launches the products. Also it will help to prevent the problems that could be caused when applying the autonomous vehicle technology, and to establish technology that is easily acceptable for drivers, so it will improve safety and convenience of drivers.

4차 산업혁명 시대의 자동차 관련 법제의 합리적 개선방안 (Improvement of legal systems of automobile in the era of the 4th industrial revolution)

  • '2016 DAVOS 세계경제포럼에서 Klaus Schwab이 "4차 산업혁명"을 처음으로 언급한 이래, 기존 산업이 ICT와 접목하여 새로운 신산업을 창출해내는 현상들이 국내외에서 뜨겁게 논의되고 있다. 4차 산업혁명은 다른말로 'Indutsrie 4.0'으로 표현되기도 한다. 자동차 산업도 마찬가지의 방향으로 진화하고 있다. 자동차가 세상에 나타난 이래 자동차 관련 기술은끊임없이 진화해오고 있는데, 독일 정부가 표방하듯 Industry 4.0 시대의자동차는 운전보조기능의 단계를 넘어 인공지능(AI)을 탑재하여 동적 주행성능의 대부분을 사람 운전자가 아닌 시스템이 관장하는 완전자율주행의 단계로 발전할 것으로 예상된다. 각국은 나름대로의 방식과 체계로 주행자동화(driving automation) 기술을 발전시켜나가고 있다. 현행 자동차관리법령상 '자율주행자동차' 개념은 다양한 단계의 자동화 자동차를 모두담아낼 수 없는 문제점이 있으므로 '자동화 자동차'로 개념설정을 변경하는 것이 타당하다. 아울러 자동화 자동차의 임시운행허가권의 소재도 국토교통부장관이 독점하는 것 보다는 시 도지사에게도 개방하여 지방화시대에 부합한 본래의 자동차 규제제도로 회귀하는 것이 필요하다고 생각한다. 또한 향후 자동화 자동차가 레벨3 이상의 단계로 진화하여 상용화하는 단계에서는 자동차안전기준도 독자적으로 마련되어야 할 것인바, 현행 임시운행허가시의 안전운행요건을 참조하여 레벨3 이상의 자동화자동차를 등록할 때 갖추어야 하는 안전기준을 정립하여 운용하여야 할것이다. 그밖에 레벨3 이상의 단계에서 시스템우선모드에서 운행되는 자동화 자동차라고 하더라도 그 운전자나 승객은 유사시에 운전개입을 하여 운행지배를 하여야 하기 때문에 기본적으로 운전면허의 소지자일 것을 요한다고 본다. 기타 자동화 자동차가 원활하게 운행되기 위해 필요한정보보호체계의 마련과 인공지능법제의 완비 및 자동화기술의 표준화 등은 향후 지속적으로 자동화 자동차 관련 기술이 발전함에 있어서 병행하여 정비하여야 할 중요한 법제영역이다.

PSPC 적용을 위한 모서리 밀링 자동화 시스템 개발 (Development of Edge Milling Automation System for PSPC Application)

  • 국제 해사 기구의 선체 보호 도장 기준이 의무화됨에 따라 조선소에서는 칼라 플레이트의 모서리 부분에 대해 2R 또는 3-pass 밀링 가공을 수행해야 한다. 그러나 기존 수작업 방식에 의존하고 있는 상황에서 2R 또는 3-pass 밀링 가공을 수행한다면 작업 환경 및 생산성 측면에서 많은 문제점이 발생할 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 규정을 만족할 수 있는 모서리 밀링 자동화 시스템을 개발하여 이러한 문제점을 해결할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 표준 칼라 플레이트를 대상으로 모서리 밀링 자동화 시스템 기본 설계를 수행하였고, 형상 인식 및 가공 경로 생성 알고리즘을 적용하여 가공 프로세스를 정립하였다. 또한, 운영 소프트웨어를 구축하고, 전용 가공 툴을 제작하여 밀링 테스트를 수행한 결과를 토대로 적합한 밀링 가공조건을 도출하였다. 향후, 본 연구를 통해 개발된 모서리 밀링 자동화 시스템을 조선소에 도입하여 현장 테스트를 수행하고, 그 결과를 토대로 상용화 연구를 진행한다면 선체 보호 도장 기준을 충족할 수 있는 자동화 시스템을 구축함과 동시에 생산성 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

  • DNP 3.0 is the most widely used data communication protocol for electric power control systems. KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) also uses DNP 3.0 as a data transmission protocol for the DAS(Distribution Automation System) and the SCADA system of the transmmission system. But DNP 3.0 is one of the oldest industrial standard having many restrictions and there are many considerations for optimal design of DNP 3.0 network for the Distribution Automation System.

Cold Drawn Bar 포장 자동화 기계설비에 관한 구조해석 (Structural Analysis of Cold Draw Bar Packaging Automation System)

  • In this study, we analyzed a cold draw (CD) bar packaging automation facility to examine its structural safety. The structural analysis focused on the frame part of the automatic packing machine for the CD round rod widely used in the industrial field, as well as the package supply device, banding suit, and crane part. As a result, we concluded that the structural safety for the banding suit, crane, and package supply device have been secured (safety factors of 9.8, 7.5, and 14.5, respectively). In addition, the safety factor of the transfer was 4.0.

효율적인 화상자료 처리와 시각 시스템과 CAD시스템의 인터페이스에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Image Processing and CAD-Vision System Interface)

  • Up to now, most researches on production automation have concentrated on local automation, e. g. CAD, CAM, robotics, etc. However, to achieve total automation it is required to link each local modules such as CAD, CAM into a unified and integrated system. One such missing link is between CAD and computer vision system. This thesis is an attempt to link the gap between CAD and computer vision system. In this paper, we propose algorithms that carry out edge detection, thinning and pruning from the image data of manufactured parts, which are obtained from video camera and then transmitted to computer. We also propose a feature extraction and surface determination algorithm which extract informations from the image data. The informations are compatible to IGES CAD data. In addition, we suggest a methodology to reduce search efforts for CAD data bases. The methodology is based on graph submatching algorithm in GEFG(Generalized Edge Face Graph) representation for each part.

선수미 흘수마크 용접을 위한 벽면이동로봇 개발 (Development of a Wall-climbing Welding Robot for Draft Mark on the Curved Surface)

  • The vertical displacement of a ship on the basis of the sea level is an important parameter for its stability and control. To indicate the displacement on operating conditions, "draft marks" are carved on the hull of the ship in various ways. One of the methods is welding. The position, shape and size of the marks are specified on the shipbuilding rules by classification societies to be checked by shipbuilders. In most cases, high-skilled workers do the welding along the drawing for the marks and welding bead becomes the marks. But the inaccuracies due to human errors and high labor cost increase the needs for automating the work process of the draft marks. In the preceding work, an indoor robot was developed for automatic marking system on flat surfaces and the work proved that the robot welding was more effective and accurate than manual welding. However, many parts of the hull structure constructed at the outdoor are cowed shapes, which is beyond the capability of the robot developed for the indoor works on the flat surface. The marking on the curved steel surface requiring the 25m elevations is one of the main challenges to the conventional robots. In the present paper, the robot capable of climbing vertical curved steel surfaces and performing the welding at the marked position by effectively solving the problems mentioned earlier is presented.
