모바일 옥내위치기반서비스를 위한 도면 출력 서비스 구현 현황 소개 (Current Status of Development of Rendering Drawings Service for Mobile Indoor Location Based Service)

  • Rendering maps is an essential feature of the user interface component of a location based service (LBS) system. However, a developer may not too much worry about implementing the rendering maps part of his or her system because there are quite a few publicly available libraries that provide all kinds of functions of manipulating maps. Google Maps, Yahoo Map, Naver Map, Daum Map, and so on are example sites that provide those libraries. Rendering drawings is to indoor LBS as rendering maps is to LBS. However, there is no such thing as Google Maps that provides libraries for rendering drawings. This paper introduces a few web services and a library that is useful in developing user interfaces of indoor LBS systems.

  • 위치기반서비스 시스템의 주요 컴포넌트에는 도면출력, 측위, 데이터베이스 관리 등이 포함된다. 도면출력은 일반적으로 구글 지도를 사용하며 측위는 GPS(Global Positioning System)를 사용한다. 그러나 위치기반서비스를 옥내에서 구현하려면 이러한 일반적인 솔루션을 사용할 수가 없다. 즉, 구글 지도로 건물 내부 도면을 출력할 수도 없고, GPS로 건물 내부의 이동객체의 위치를 측정할 수도 없다. 본 연구는 도면출력 기능, 옥내측위 기능 그리고 데이터베이스에 콘텐츠 업로드 및 출력 기능들을 웹서비스로 구현한 사례를 소개하여, 프로그램 개발자가 누구나 쉽게 호출하여 사용할 수 있게 한다. 구현한 웹서비스들의 효용성을 실험적으로 보이기 위하여 이러한 웹서비스들을 이용하여 박물관 관람객의 위치를 고려한 콘텐츠 출력 시스템 프로토타입을 구현한다.

이진공간분할(BSP)과 잠재적가시공간(PVS) 알고리즘을 이용한 실내렌더링 속도개선 방법 (An Improvement Method of Indoor Rendering Speed Using BSP and PVS Algorithms)

  • 본 논문에서는 이진공간분할(BSP), 잠재적가시공간(PVS) 알고리즘을 이용한 효과적인 실내렌더링 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 방식은 BSP 알고리즘과 PVS 기법을 동시에 이용하여 BSP 영역번호를 나누는 과정에서 BSP 영역에 오브젝트를 추가로 포함시킴으로써 오브젝트를 효과적으로 출력시킨다. 또한, 플레이어 위치를 중심으로 PVS를 검사하여 필요한 부분만 출력시킨다. 실험 결과로 부터 제안된 기법은 BSP와 PVS를 경계영역뿐만 아니라 오브젝트도 같이 처리함으로써 렌더링 속도가 향상됨을 보인다.

3D Navigation Real Time RSSI-based Indoor Tracking Application

  • Representation of various types of information in an interactive virtual reality environment on mobile devices had been an attractive and valuable research in this new era. Our main focus is presenting spatial indoor location sensing information in 3D perception in mind to replace the traditional 2D floor map using handheld PDA. Designation of 3D virtual reality by Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) demonstrates its powerful ability in providing lots of useful positioning information for PDA user in real-time situation. Furthermore, by interpolating portal culling algorithm would reduce the 3D graphics rendering time on low power processing PDA significantly. By fully utilizing the CC2420 chipbased sensor nodes, wireless sensor network was established to locate user position based on Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) signals. Implementation of RSSI-based indoor tracking method is low-cost solution. However, due to signal diffraction, shadowing and multipath fading, high accuracy of sensing information is unable to obtain even though with sophisticated indoor estimation methods. Therefore, low complexity and flexible accuracy refinement algorithm was proposed to obtain high precision indoor sensing information. User indoor position is updated synchronously in virtual reality to real physical world. Moreover, assignment of magnetic compass could provide dynamic orientation information of user current viewpoint in real-time.

  • LED is expected as an environmentally friendly next generation light source with its good reliability and long lifetime. The light sources for illumination have a variety of applications in the indoor and outdoor, and the variation of optical power and color rendering of the light source limits their applications. Therefore, it is necessary to research the LED lamp and its luminaire to minimize the variation of dynamic characteristics and to improve the color rendering due to that illuminating environment. Daylight is very good light source to human and can be used as primary or a secondary light source with benefits of energy, productivity and health.This paper presents the design method of LED lighting system to improve poor property in terms of CR(color redering) characteristic to use daylight effectively.

  • The total light efficiencies of the novel 1.9" transflective tRGB-t/rW and tRGB-rW TFT LCDs are calculated and they are implemented by the traditional 7-mask ${\alpha}$-Si processing. Then, the two vehicles are turned on with the appropriate Sub-Pixel Rendering White (SPRW) algorithms, so they can exhibit the extra luminance without the original visual resolution loss. Their outstanding optical properties are approved by measuring the contrast ratio (C.R.) and the NTSC ratio. Because they utilize the light resource very effectively and efficiently, they are very suitable for the dark indoor and the bright outdoor environments.

스킨답서스에 LED와 Fan을 이용한 실내공기정화 시스템 (The Indoor Air Purification System Using LED and Fan for Epipremnum aureum)

  • 빛이 부족하고 공기 순환이 원활하지 않은 실내에서 식물의 지상부와 지하부를 활용한 공기 정화 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 식물의 공기정화 효과를 극대화하고자 지상부는 청색과 녹색의 LED를 조합한 혼합광과 자연광에 가까운 고연색 LED를 각각 조사하고 지하부의 토양을 필터로 활용하고자 팬을 이용하여 강제 순환하였다. 광원과 팬이 결합된 실내공기정화 시스템이 식물만 배치된 경우보다 오염된 공기를 단시간에 가장 많이 제거하였다. 실내 공기정화 시스템의 혼합광과 고연색광 두 가지의 경우에서 식물만 배치된 경우보다 미세먼지는 각각 14%, 14.2%, TVOC는 7.5%, 9.4% 로 더 크게 감소하였다. 팬을 15분 동안만 가동한 실험에서도 TVOC가 97.8%로 크게 감소하였다. 식물의 광합성과 토양을 필터로 활용하는 것이 오염된 공기를 짧은 시간에 정화시킬 수 있었고 팬의 일시적인 가동으로도 지속적인 가동의 효과를 얻었다.

Simulation and Comparison of the Lighting Efficiency for Household Illumination with LEDs and Fluorescent Lamps

  • The design of the LEDs lighting in general household illumination was proposed and compared with the fluorescent lighting in this study. Using the LED as a light source would promote energy saving lighting for household illumination purposes. We used the LightTools and DIALux software to design and simulate different standards of illuminance, different correlated color temperatures and different color rendering indices for household environments. The power consumption and efficiency of traditional illuminated light sources and an LED light source with the same standard of illuminance for lighting the household environment were analyzed and compared with each other. Finally, our results show the advantages of using white-light LEDs for lighting and household illumination.

GAN을 활용한 인테리어 스타일 변환 모델에 관한 연구 (A study of interior style transformation with GAN model)

  • Recently, demand for designing own space is increasing as the rapid growth of home furnishing market. However, there is a limitation that it is not easy to compare the style between before construction view and after view. This study aims to translate real image into another style with GAN model learned with interior images. To implement this, first we established style criteria and collected modern, natural, and classic style images, and experimented with ResNet, UNet, Gradient penalty concept to CycleGAN algorithm. As a result of training, model recognize common indoor image elements, such as floor, wall, and furniture, and suitable color, material was converted according to interior style. On the other hand, the form of furniture, ornaments, and detailed pattern expressions are difficult to be recognized by CycleGAN model, and the accuracy lacked. Although UNet converted images more radically than ResNet, it was more stained. The GAN algorithm allowed us to represent results within 2 seconds. Through this, it is possible to quickly and easily visualize and compare the front and after the interior space style to be constructed. Furthermore, this GAN will be available to use in the design rendering include interior.

실내 3D 게임 장면의 잠재적 가시 집합을 위한 효과적인 하드웨어 압축 구조 (An Effective Structure of Hardware Compression for Potentially Visible Set of Indoor 3D Game Scenes)

  • 대규모 실내 3D 게임 장면에서 차폐 컬링 정보를 미리 계산하는 잠재적 가시 집합(potentially visible set: PVS)은 데이터를 처리하고 저장해야하는 양이 상당히 크지만 많은 부분이 0으로 표현된다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 환경의 3D 게임 장면 트리 구성 중에 PVS 데이터를 ZRLE (zero run length encoding) 방식으로 압축하는 효과적인 하드웨어 압축 구조를 설계한다. 3D 게임 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안하는 구조의 PVS 데이터 압축 비율, PVS 컬링과 절두체 컬링에 따른 렌더링 속도 (frame per second: FPS)를 분석하였다.
