시스템 사고를 통한 다기능 생태저류지의 관리방안 - 광명 안터생태공원을 중심으로 - (The Management Methods of Multi-Purpose Ecological Reservoir by System Thinking - Focused on Anteo Eco Park -)

  • Ecological reservoir is a multifunctional space where provides the functions of retention, animal habitat and improvement of ecosystem health and landscape. The ecological reservoir of Anteo Eco Park located in Gwangmyeong-si has established to functions for water purification, maintenance of healthy aquatic ecosystem. Because the Anteo Eco Park is located in the site where nonpoint pollutant materials flow in, Anteo Eco Park has potential factors which aquatic ecosystem health deteriorates and damages the habitat of golden frog(Rana plancyi chosenica) which is restoration target species. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest the plan to manage the variables which impede the right functions of aquatic ecosystem by understanding the causal loop diagram for the change of water quality environment and the interaction of predator-prey through system thinking. The results are as follows. First, the study showed that the individual number of golden frog which is an indicator species of Anteo Eco Park is threatened by snakeheaded fish, which is an upper predator. Therefore, balanced food chain should be hold to protect golden frog by capturing the snakeheaded fish which is individual number's density is high, and the monitoring management of the individual number for predator(snakeheaded fish)-prey(golden frog) should be performed. Second, the study represented that water pollution and carnification is caused by the sediment as the dead body of the large emergent vegetation in the winter cumulates as sediment. Ecological reservoir in Anteo Eco Park has been managed by eliminating the dead body of the large emergent vegetation, but the guideline for the proper density maintenance of vegetation community is additionally needed. Lastly, the study showed that aquatic ecosystem of Anteo Eco Park where is contaminated from the inflow of nonpoint pollutants affects the individual number's decline of golden frog and snakeheaded fish. Accordingly, the creation of a buffer area and a substitution wetland is needed in the periphery of the Anteo Eco Park to control the inflow of nonpoint pollutants including organic matters, nutrients and heavy metals. This study will be helpful that Anteo Eco Park improves the regional landscape and maintain healthy aquatic ecosystem space for the park visitors including local residents.

  • The differential white blood cell count plays an important role in the diagnosis of different diseases. It is a tedious task to count these classes of cell manually. An automatic counter using computer vision helps to perform this medical test rapidly and accurately. Most commercial-available automatic white blood cell analysis composed mainly 3 steps including segmentation, feature extraction and classification. In this paper we concentrate on the first step in automatic white-blood-cell analysis by proposing a segmentation scheme that utilizes a benefit of active contour. Specifically, the binary image is obtained by thresolding of the input blood smear image. The initial shape of active is then placed roughly inside the white blood cell and allowed to grow to fit the shape of individual white blood cell. The white blood cell is then separated using the extracted contour. The force that drives the active contour is the combination of gradient vector flow force and balloon force. Our purposed technique can handle very promising to separate the remaining red blood cells.

  • 로켓 추진기관 시스템의 성능을 입증하기 위한 시험설비는 로켓시스템의 개발을 위한 필수 인프라이다. PSTC는 발사체의 각 단별 추진기관 시스템의 수류시험 및 연소시험을 수행하고, 발사 프로세스에 대한 지상검증을 수행한다. PSTC 개발을 위해 국내외 기술을 조사하여, 관련분야의 사례를 적극 활용한다. 추진기관 시험설비는 유공압 시설 및 제어계측, Test Stand, 화염유도로 등을 구성한다.

Effect of Ginsenosides from Panax ginseng on Proliferation of Human Osteosarcoma Cell $U_2OS$

  • Object To find out which of the 27 ginsenosides isolated from Panax ginseng C.A. Mey that may inhibit the proliferation of human osteosaocoma cell line $U_2OS$. Methods Effects of each individual ginsenoside on the proliferation of $U_2OS$ cell were studied by determining the viability of cancer cells during culture with or without the presence of the test compound. DNA assay was determined by flow cytometry. Results Ginsonosides -Ro, $-Rh_l,\;-Rh_2,\;-F_1\;and\;-L_8$ at concentrations of 5 ,umol/L could obviously suppress the proliferation of $U_2OS$ cells while ginsenosides $-Rg_1,\;-F_3,$ -Rf, PPT and PT significantly inhibited the cancer cells. Flow cytometry revealed that ginsenosides $-Ro,-Rg_1-Rf,-F_1-Rh_2,PPT$ and PT induced cell cycle arrest at $G_0/G_1$ phase with obvious decrease of cell count at Sand $G_2+M$ phase, Moreover, ginsenosides $-Rf_1,-Rg_1,\;-F_1$ and PPT induced significantly high rates of cell death as compared with the control. Conclusion These data suggested that ginsenosides inhibited $U_2OS$ proliferation Via cell cycle arrest or induction of cell death.

선박용 SCR 시스템에서 스월형 혼합기의 날개 각도가 유동혼합 및 압력강하에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Vane Angle of Swirl Type Mixer on Flow Mixing and Pressure Drop in Marine Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems)

  • 선박용 질소산화물 저감장치의 혼합영역에서 유동혼합 성능을 개선하기 위해 스월형 혼합기가 개발되었다. 본 연구에서는 스월형 혼합기와 각단의 날개 각도가 조절 가능한 다단 스월형 혼합기가 고려되었다. 두 스월형 혼합기의 최적 날개 각도를 도출하기 위해 날개 각도가 균일지수 및 압력강하에 미치는 영향을 수치해석 기법을 이용하여 조사하였다. 스월형 혼합기에서는 혼합기의 날개 각도를 $10^{\circ}$ 에서 $80^{\circ}$ 까지 변화시킬 때, 최적의 유동혼합 성능은 베인 각도 $30^{\circ}$에서 $60^{\circ}$ 범위에서 나타났으나, 압력강하는 베인 각도 증가에 따라 선형적으로 증가하였다. 반면 다단 스월형 혼합기에서는 각 단의 날개각도를 조절함으로써 압력강하를 낮추면서도 높은 혼합성능의 유지가 가능함을 보였다.

차량 주행궤적을 이용한 후미추돌 가능성 예측 모형 (Prediction of Rear-end Crash Potential using Vehicle Trajectory Data)

  • 최근 교통상황을 정확하게 관측할 수 있는 교통류 검지에 관한 기술개발과 더불어 개별차량 주행궤적을 이용한 교통안전도 평가기법에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 개별차량의 주행궤적을 이용하여 다음시점(t+1) 의 후미추돌 확률을 산출하는 방법론을 제시하였다. 신뢰성 있는 예측 기법인 칼만 필터링(Kalman Filtering)을 이용하여 주행궤적을 예측하고, 예측된 시점에 대한 개별차량의 후미추돌 확률을 산출하였다. 안전도를 평가하는 확률모형을 수립하기 위해서 서해안 고속도로의 동영상 자료로부터 개별차량의 주행궤적을 추출하였다. 추출한 개별차량의 주행궤적 자료를 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석(Binary logistic regression)을 이용하여 차량의 차로변경 결정 확률 모형을 생성하였고, exponential decay function을 이용하여 surrogate safety measure(SSM)의 하나인 time-to-collision(TTC)기반의 추돌확률 모형을 생성하였다. 미시적 교통류 시뮬레이터인 VISSIM에서 추출한 개별차량의 주행궤적 데이터를 이용하여 제안된 방법론을 평가하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 교통류 감시, 제어 및 정보 시스템에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있으며, 나아가 교통사고 예방에 효율적인 대안이 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

수질오염총량관리를 위한 유역모형의 유달 과정 재현방안 연구 (Study on Representation of Pollutants Delivery Process using Watershed Model)

  • Implemented since 2004, TPLC (Total Pollution Load Control) is the most powerful water-quality protection program. Recently, uncertainty of prediction using steady state model increased due to changing water environments, and necessity of a dynamic state model, especially the watershed model, gained importance. For application of watershed model on TPLC, it needs to be feasible to adjust the relationship (mass-balance) between discharged loads estimated by technical guidance, and arrived loads based on observed data at the watershed outlet. However, at HSPF, simulation is performed as a semi-distributed model (lumped model) in a sub-basin. Therefore, if the estimated discharged loads from individual pollution source is directly entered as the point source data into the RCHRES module (without delivery ratio), the pollutant load is not reduced properly until it reaches the outlet of the sub-basin. The hypothetic RCHRES generated using the HSPF BMP Reach Toolkit was applied to solve this problem (although this is not the original application of Reach Toolkit). It was observed that the impact of discharged load according to spatial distribution of pollution sources in a sub-basin, could be expressed by multi-segmentation of the hypothetical RCHRES. Thus, the discharged pollutant load could be adjusted easily by modification of the infiltration rate or characteristics of flow control devices.

Radio-Sensitization by Piper longumine of Human Breast Adenoma MDA-MB-231 Cells in Vitro

  • Background: The current study investigated the effects of Piper longumine on radio-sensitization of human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells and underlying mechanisms. Materials and Methods: Human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells were cultured in vitro and those in logarithmic growth phase were selected for experiments divided into four groups: control, X-ray exposed, Piper longumine, and Piper longumine combined with X-rays. Conogenic assays were performed to determine the radio-sensitizing effects. Cell survival curves were fitted by single-hit multi-target model and then the survival fraction (SF), average lethal dose ($D_0$), quasi-threshold dose ($D_q$) and sensitive enhancement ratio (SER) were calculated. Cell apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry (FCM). Western blot assays were employed for expression of apoptosis-related proteins (Bc1-2 and Bax) after treatment with Piper longumine and/or X-ray radiation. The intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) level was detected by FCM with a DCFH-DA probe. Results: The cloning formation capacity was decreased in the group of piperlongumine plus radiation, which displayed the values of SF2, D0, Dq significantly lower than those of radiation alone group and the sensitive enhancement ratio (SER) of D0 was1.22 and 1.29, respectively. The cell apoptosis rate was increased by the combination treatment of Piper longumine and radiation. Piper longumine increased the radiation-induced intracellular levels of ROS. Compared with the control group and individual group, the combination group demonstrated significantly decreased expression of Bcl-2 with increased Bax. Conclusions: Piper longumine at a non-cytotoxic concentration can enhance the radio-sensitivity of MDA-MB-231cells, which may be related to its regulation of apoptosis-related protein expression and the increase of intracellular ROS level, thus increasing radiation-induced apoptosis.

  • 본 논문에서는 센서교환이 용이하고 소량의 샘플을 요구하는 ISFET 센서용 전해질 분석기의 샘플챔버(sample chamber)를 설계하였으며, 이를 이용한 2점 교정방식의 4채널 전해질 분석기를 구현하였다. 샘플과 교정용액들의 사용을 최소화하기 위한 샘플의 로딩상태 감지회로를 제안하였으며 이를 실현하였다. 구현된 전해질 분석기는 제어계통과 액류흐름계통으로 구성되어 있으며 전해질 분석기의 효과적인 제어를 위하여 측정루틴, 교정루틴 및 세척루틴의 시스템 소프트웨어를 각각 개발하였다.

구간과속단속시스템의 도입 방안 연구 (The Enforcement Scheme of the Overspeeding vehicle by Travel Speed)

  • 현행 무인교통단속장비는 특정한 지점에서의 위반 여부를 판단하여 단속하는 특징을 갖고 있어 운전자들이 시스템 설치 지점 앞에서만 속도를 줄이고 통과하자마자 다시 속도를 증가시키는 경향을 보이고 있다. 특히 터널, 교량 및 커브 구간에서의 사고 위험도는 다른 구간에 비해 높은 것으로 분석되고 있다. 따라서 일정구간에 걸쳐 도로나 교통여건으로 과속교통사고의 위험이 높거나 과속사고가 많이 발생되는 도로구간에서 안정적인 속도관리를 위해 구간과속단속시스템의 도입이 필요하다고 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 터널, 교량 구간의 교통류 특성을 분석하여 기존 지점과단속시스템의 한계를 분석하였다. 그리고 구간과속단속시스템을 적용하기 위한 도로구간의 적정거리를 현장 도로구조, 교통여건, 사고발생 내용을 검토하여 제시하였다. 또한 각 교량이나 터널에 대하여 적절한 구간과속단속시스템의 설치 위치를 제시하였다.
