A study on Shopping Orientation and Information Source by Male's Clothing Benefits (남성집단의 의복추구혜택에 따른 쇼핑성향과 정보원에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to help male-clothing companies in investigating male shopping orientation and information source with clothing benefits. As for the method of the research, 428 male consumers were the object for the data of this research. The major results of this study are as follows : 1. The dimensions of clothing benefits were composed of the better appearances, the social status, the personality and the comfort. The dimensions of shopping orientation were composed of pleasant, planned, loyal and individual shopping orientations. 2. The consumer with clothing benefits were classified three groups: better appearances, comfort and careless. In the consumer's classified shopping orientation the group of pursuing personality and better appearances were given higher score at each level, while careless group was given the lowest score at each level of shopping orientation. 3. In case of using information source with classified consumers, the group of personality and better appearances got information through the marketer-oriented information source and neutral information source, the group of pursuing comfort got lots of information through human information source, the group seldom used all information source.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of individual factors, such as demographic characteristics, personality types and cognitive styles, on job satisfaction of university librarians. The study further investigated the relationships and interaction effects among those factors. Three independent variables examined were demographic characteristics (sex, age, year at work, and position), personality types (Type A and Type B), and cognitive styles (Held-dependence and Held-independence). The dependent varilable was the level of job satisfaction. five factors that affect the level of job satisfaction were the nature of work, salary level promotion practices, supervision style, and the relationships with co-wokers. The number of subjects participated in the study was 166 university librarians working in Pusan area. The SPSSWIN package was used for statistical analysis.

A Study on the Brand Personality of Foodservice Companies using Correspondence Analysis: Comparative Analysis of Family and Quick-service Restaurants (대응일치분석을 이용한 외식기업의 브랜드개성 고찰: 퀵서비스 레스토랑과 패밀리 레스토랑의 비교)

  • This study investigated and compared the brand personality of domestically run family restaurants with quick service restaurants. Information was elicited from respective patrons using self-administered questionnaires which asked questions on recognizable brand characteristic and attributes of each restaurant through image maps. Data from the self-administrated questionnaires were collected and analysed using comparative statistical analysis, including frequency, t-test, chi-square, factor analysis, reliability analysis and correspondence analysis. Overall, patrons identified 5 factors which they used to rank individual restaurants; sophistication, competence, likeableness, trendiness, and ruggedness. Overall results showed the family restaurants that scored highly on likeableness and trendiness were Outback and TGIF. Furthermore, Vips was the only family restaurants that scored highly in ruggedness. In relation to quick service restaurants, Lotteria scored highest for competence while McDonalds and Burger King scored best for sophistication. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

A Structural Model on the Moral Distress in Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 도덕적 고뇌 구조모형 구축)

  • Purpose: This study was to build a path model geared toward explaining the relationships of influential variables for the moral distress of clinical nurses by analyzing literatures of earlier studies. Methods: Data were collected from four hospitals with 300 beds or more. The participants were 257 nurses with more than 1 year of clinical experience. The data collection period was from June 14 to October 24, 2017. The questionnaire included general and ethical education-related characteristics, personality type, moral dilemma experience, moral sensitivity, moral climate and moral distress. Results: The direct influencing factors of moral distress were the individual's experience of moral dilemma, moral sensitivity, and the moral climate of the organization. Factors that indirectly affected via moral sensitivity were personality type, experience in ethical education, and moral climate. The explanatory power was 40.3%. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop an intervention program that can reduce moral distress by considering the factors influencing the moral distress of clinical nurses. In addition, it is necessary to identify additional influencing factors of moral distress.

MBTI Personality Types of the University Students in an Area (일 지역 대학생의 성격유형)

  • This study is a descriptive research study conducted to provide useful preliminary data that is helpful for self-initiated learning through a preference trend-based learning method by analyzing the personality types of university students in an area. In this study, the self-administered MBTI form $M^{(R)}$ test was performed on 695 students of 10 departments at K University, from September 18 to 22, 2017, using an automatic scoring system. Collected data was analyzed with descriptive statistics and Chi-square test, using the SPSS Win 22.0 Program, to sort the target students into one of 16 different personality types and examine psychological function and temperament by their personality. Differences in personality type preference by gender were as follows: for judging function, the male students had a strong preference for the T type (thinking type) while the female students showed a high preference for the F type (feeling type), and in the case of the pattern of behavior and lifestyle, the male students and the female students had a strong preference for the P type (perceiving type) and the J type (judging type), respectively. In addition, there were significant differences for each major and each department in personality type, psychological function and temperament. In conclusion, personality type was found to vary by gender, major and department. It would be necessary to develop a manual for learning methods reflecting individual preference.

  • The purpose of this paper is to correspond to four-elements in astrology theory, an intellectual from ancient times, that show personality temperament among MBTI, a representative personality type test in modern times, furthermore, by examining 16 personality type cards in tarot, a play culture and fortune telling culture in which the four-element theory is integrated in symbols, it is a comparative consideration that connects the characteristics of the character types contained in them to the 16 personality types of MBTI. The four preferred types of MBTI are Extravesion(E) and Introversion(I), Sensing(S) and Intuition(N), Thinking(T) and Feeling(F), Judgment(J) and Perception(P). Among them, Western four-elements were able to respond to Fire, Water, Air, and Earth in the order of NF(iNtuitive Feeling Type), SF(Sensory Feeling Type), NT(iNtuitive Thinking Type), and ST(Sensory Thinking Type). This is a result that can be derived by comparing individual personality theory and MBTI temperament theory among the symbols contained in ancient astrological theories. And the classification of boys, knights, queens, and kings in the four classes of person cards could be divided according to the MBTI attitude index. The boy showed an adaptive introvert using I and P, the knight showed an adaptive extrovert using E and P, the queen showed a decisive introvert using I and J, and the king showed an adaptive extrovert using E and J.

  • Past, teacher's facilities space of school arranges the desk by teacher's number and businesslike function a teacher's room and night-duty room, supplementary rest space, of considered 1 room from everything mean. But, these days, teacher's space is emphasized personality of individual study conversation between teachers and a rest etc. Even though the change of such use form is very important to teacher, it is true to be not considered much in architectural planning of existing school's facilities. Plan that correspond dividing use form of school affair meeting and business, individual study, a rest etc. of forward teacher space is to need. Therefore, I wish to suggest architectural data for general and efficient operation management of integrated school through this study.

The Relation Between Affective Style Based on EEG Asymmetry and Personality on Stress

  • This study investigates the relationship of affective style based on EEG asymmetry, personality, and psychological stress on stress. The experiment consists of three sessions: rest state, landscape scene, and horror film tasks. We used a short horror film to evoke stress. We classified affective style of the individual based on EEG alpha asymmetry: negative bias, positive bias and general. The participants in the negative bias group reported higher levels of stress on the neuroticism of the Big 5 model and Cohen's Perceived Stress Scale. These results demonstrate that participants with the propensity for negative affective style have a nervous temperament and are apt to be stressed.

The Exploratory Analysis of Subjective Well Bing in Internet Continuance to Use (인터넷의 지속적 사용의도에서 주관적 안녕감에 대한 탐색적 분석)

  • Although the Internet has been a important communication tool in modern societies, researchers did not pay attention to its' positive impacts on individual's psychological process. The Internet provides users with a unique environment such as visual isolation, non face-to-face communication, and easiness to escape from social influences. This environment enables people to take free action according to their personality and disclose themselves. The findings indicate that individuals' social use of the Internet may reflect their personality. To fill the research void like this, this study proposes a new research model in which well bing as well as perceived value are positively linked to satisfaction and continuance to use. The statistical results obtained by applying PLS to the valid 150 questionnaires showed that the well bing has stronger positive influence on satisfaction and continuance to use. Therefore, a practical implication is suggested that the web site need to be designed in a way of arousing users' well bing more strongly.

A Study on the Influence of Job Characteristics Perceived by Nurses on Their Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment : Focusing on Moderating Effect of Individual Personality Characteristics (간호조직에서 직무특성이 간호사의 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 - 성격특성의 조절효과를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of job characteristics on the nurses' the moderating effect of locus of control on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment and relationship between job characteristics and attitude. The sample for this study consisted of 594 nurses from 8 university hospitals. Factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha analysis, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were used for the statistical methods. The results of this study were found that (1) autonomy among 5 core job characteristics showed positive influence on job satisfaction, (2) task significance and autonomy among 5 core job characteristics had positive influence on organizational commitment, (3) the internals of locus of control moderated the effect of job characteristics on nurses' job satisfaction, and (4) internals and externals of locus of control moderated the effect of job characteristics on nurses' organizational commitment.
