Multilevel Analysis of Health Care Service Utilization among Medical Aid Beneficiaries in Korea

  • Purpose: The current study was done to identify individual- and group-level factors associated with health care service utilization among Korean medical aid beneficiaries by applying multilevel modeling. Methods: Secondary data analysis was performed using data on health care service reimbursement and medical aid case management progress from 15,948 beneficiaries, and data from 229 regions were included in the analysis. Results: Results of multilevel analysis showed an estimated intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) of 18.1%, indicating that the group level accounted for 18.1% of the total variance in health care service utilization, and that beneficiaries within the region are more likely to share common features with regard to health care service utilization. At the individual level, existence of disability and types of medical aid beneficiaries showed a significant association, while, at the group level, social deprivation index, and the number of beneficiaries and case managers within the region showed a significant association with health care service utilization. Conclusion: The significant influence of group level variables in health care service utilization found in this study indicate a need for group level approaches, such as policy change and/or promotion of community awareness.

수준별 교육과정 편성.운영 방안 -공통영어 읽기를 중심으로- (A suggestion for organization and enforcement of the curriculum appropriate for the student's level)

  • The purpose that the curriculum appropriate for the student's level pursues is to offer to a student the curriculum that can satisfy the student's interest, aptitude, and requirements. This curriculum has recently enforced all over the country, but the careful research and the plan for verification on its effect are required so that it may accomplish its purpose. This study, centered on the reading comprehension ability of Freshman English of the High School, aims to suggest a more desirable procedure for organizing and enforcing the curriculum appropriate for the students' level. In order to provide the best curriculum appropriate for the student's level. (1) the diagnosis of the individual student's level should be made first ; (2) the syllabus focused both on the grammar and on the communicative functions should be prepared ; (3) the teaching material on the basis of the syllabus should be selected considering the student's interest. and requirements. The new method of teaching-learning English should also be developed with the enforcement of the new curriculum discussed here. The curriculum appropriate for the student's level has many kinds of problems but these disadvantages should be overcome for providing the better educational system for the individual student.

첨단생산기술(AMT)의 전략적 분류 : 조정-공급-활용의 계층구조를 중심으로 (A Strategic Classification of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies based on a Hierarchical Approach)

  • Advanced Manufacturing Technology(AMT), a comprehensive collection of new technologies for the efficiency and flexibility of manufacturing systems has received a growing attention recently, AMT consists of various industrial and technological components, homogeneous in some aspects while heterogeneous in others. Thus, it is difficult but necessary task to construct a classification framework in which the relationship among individual technologies are depicted in a meaningful fashion. In this, paper, we propose a hierarchical framework in which the objective and criteria of classification are decomposed into three level: industrialization, development and application of AMT. At the first and highest level, the main interest is to "industrialize" AMT. The major actors at this level are policy makers(public sector) and top management(private sector) and the primary classification criterion is the interrelationship between industry and technology. At the middle level exist system engineers whose main objective is to "develop" new technologies and/or systematize individual technologies. At the final and bottom level, shop floor managers need to "apply" AMT in order to enhance the efficiency and flexibility of manufacturing process. It should be stressed that, as a whole, the above three levels should be interactively linked to that each level contributes to the balanced development of AMT.

Employment and Wage Level of University Graduates in the Field of Clothing and Fashion

  • The purpose of this study is 1) to compare the employment status and wage level of "Clothing and Fashion" major (CF major) graduates with those from other majors and 2) to examine factors affecting the employment status and wage level of CF major university graduates. The data were pooled from the 2009-2012 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey Data, conducted by Korea Employment Information Service. First, when graduates of CF major were compared with other majors in the same academic area-natural science and arts-, the rate of employment was higher for CF majors than that of other majors; on the other hand, there is no difference in the wage levels between those with graduates in CF majors and those with other majors. Second, we examined factors affecting CF major graduates' employment and wage level based on graduates' individual factors, university factor, and job preparation factors. Employment status of graduates in CF major was predicted by respondent's gender and university type, and work experience. The wage level of CF major graduates was significantly predicted by individual factors (e.g., gender and age, university factors (e.g., university type, university program, location), and job preparation factors (e.g., certificates, overseas experience of foreign language training, English test scores). The results of this study would provide a guide to direct university educational program in order to assess the current capabilities in the field of clothing and fashion.

경계연결리더십이 조직구성원의 자기효능감, 역할 외 활동, 그리고 흡수역량에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Boundary-spanning Leadership on Self-efficacy, Extra-role Behavior, and Absorptive Capacity)

  • Due to the uncertainty of dynamic business environment, modern organizations have been giving attention to dynamic capabilities beyond traditional notion of core competence. Among them, absorptive capacity and boundary-spanning activity are considered the most important. The former refers to activities regarding acquisition, assimilation, transformation and exploitation of internal and external knowledge. The latter is composed of boundary-loosening and boundary-tightening activities to detect internal or external information and then to preserve, protect, or acquire resources. Thus, both have achieved wide recognition as a potential source of change and innovation. This study investigated the cross-level relation between boundary-spanning leadership at team level and absorptive capacity at individual level. We also explored self-efficacy and extra-role behavior that can affect employees' absorptive capacity. To test multi-level analysis, the survey data were collected from 862 members in 137 teams of different firms. Results revealed that boundary-spanning leadership had the positive cross-level impact on absorptive capacity in the team context. Moreover, absorptive capacity was positively associated with self-efficacy and extra-role behavior at individual level. Based on these findings, we provided theoretical and practical implications to address rapidly changing environments and discussed limitations of this paper for further research.

기존 HCM 분석방법과 분석 소프트웨어를 이용한 신호교차로의 차로별 분석방법 연구 (Assessing Signalized Intersection Performance by Individual Lane Level Using Current HCM Methods and Software)

  • 현재 HCM 신호교차로의 운영평가는 차로군 단위로 이루어져 차로별 고유 특성을 일반화하여 실제교통류 특성을 반영하지 못하는 경우가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 별도의 추가적인 자료수집을 요구하지 않고 현 HCM 분석방법과 관련 software를 활용하여 신호교차로 운영을 차로별로 분석하는 단계별 절차를 제시하였다. 차로별 분석결과는 현재 HCM 차로군 분석결과와 차로별 분석이 가능한 호주 HCM 분석방법을 따르는 aaSIDRA의 결과와 비교분석하였다. 차로별 분석방법은 현 HCM 방법에 비해 HCM 지체도 산정공식중 증분지체의 민감도에 따른 영향으로 미미하게 높은 지체도를 보였다. 포화도와 대기행렬길이 등의 부가적인 효과척도는 두 방식이 유사한 결과를 보였고 aaSIDRA와의 결과비교에서는 비보호좌회전차로의 분석결과를 제외하고는 유사한 결과를 보여주었다. 본 연구에서 제안한 차로별 분석방법은 보다 미시적인 신호교차로 분석을 통해 현 분석 방법의 취약점을 보완할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • This paper is proposed Single phase Multi-Level AC-DC Converter. This is consist of diode bridge and switches. The number of the supply current levels depends on the number of the individual converter's current level. In this converter circuit the number of the levels is equal to 2(M+1) -1, where M is the number of Switching-Leg's number. In this paper is introduced converter with 31 current Level. If the number of current level is increased, smoother sinusoidal waveform can be obtained. The feasibility of the circuit is verified by computer simulation using PSIM

X-선 단순 Series 촬영 시 피폭 선량 평가 (Assessment of Radiation Dose Due to X-Ray Simple Series Examinations)

  • 진단영상의학에서 일반영상촬영의 경우 각각의 부위를 연속(series)촬영으로 검사하는 경우가 대부분이다. 그러나 환자선량권고량(DRL)의 경우 각 부위의 전후(AP)방향과 측면(lateral)자세의 촬영 측정값만이 설정되어있는 것이 현실이다. 병원에서는 환자의 연속 촬영에 의해 누적 선량이 발생되며, 이는 환자선량권고량(DRL)과 누적된 피폭선량을 비교할 수 없거나, 과소평가할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 각 부위별 연속촬영의 누적선량을 측정한 결과, 조사야에 포함된 경우 입사표면선량(ESD)을 유효선량으로 변환하면 공중의 선량한도(Individual dose)의 최대 38.06%에서 최소 0.23%까지 측정되었다. 그리고 조사야에 포함되지 않은 각 부위의 입사표면선량(ESD)을 유효선량(Effective dose)으로 변환한 경우 공중의 선량한도(Individual dose)의 최대 5%에서 최소 0.04%까지 측정되었다. 연구결과 각 부위별 연속촬영에서 입사표면선량(ESD)이 많이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 병원에서는 환자선량권고량(DRL)을 구체적으로 설정할 필요가 있으며, 불필요한 검사를 줄이기 위해 환자 촬영 order의 세분화가 필요하다고 판단된다. 또한, 여러 부위의 검사에서는 정확한 조사야의 필요성이 강조된다.

광학적으로 유발된 망막흐림의 정도에 따른 시력감소의 개인차와 인식 대비도의 변화 (Individual Difference in the Decrease of Visual Acuity and the Change in Contrast Threshold According to the Level of Optically Induced Retinal Defocus)

  • 목적: 광학적으로 유발된 망막흐림의 정도에 따른 시력감소의 개인차와 대비도의 변화에 따른 개인차를 알아보았다. 방법: 전체 69안을 대상으로 소수시력 각 단계별로 10단계의 다른 대비도로 구성된 시표를 사용하였다. 대상자들의 굴절이상을 완전교정한 후 눈 앞에 +0.25 D씩 순차적으로 증가시켜 망막흐림을 유발한 다음 각 시표에 대한 단안시력과 인식대비도를 측정하였다. 결과: 유발된 망막상의 흐림이 증가됨에 따라 시력은 점차적으로 감소되었다. +0.25 D 부가하여 유발된 망막흐림에서 시력저하의 개인차는 1.2~0.6의 범위로 나타났다. +0.50 D와 +0.75 D 부가되었을 경우 각각 1.0~0.3과 0.9~0.1 범위의 개인차를 보였다. +1.00 D가 부가되었을 때 일부 0.1 시표를 인식하지 못하는 대상안이 나타났고, +1.75 D 부가된 경우 모든 대상안들이 0.1 시표를 인식하지 못하였다. 그리고 망막흐림의 정도가 증가할수록 인식 대비도는 점진적으로 감소하였다. 결론: 최종적인 굴절이상 교정값을 결정할 때 잔여굴절이상의 정도에 따른 시력감소의 개인차를 고려해야 할 것이다.

A Study on Computing Method of the Individual Scholastic Evaluation in the Comparative School Record

  • This study aims at solving the problem in the application method of the comparative school record which is currently being discussed in depth among colleges. The application method of Kay O. Lee and Yeon Soo Cung(1997) which was appied in the 1999 Korean air force Academy Admission Process was found to be problematic in the following respects. First the setting of the standard which divides all the high schools in kora into five groups relative to their scholastic level is somewhat vague and subjective secondly the difference among those levels which resulted from the five grouping could greatly influence on the admission of the applicants and thirdly there is no standard in choosing those few promising individuals with high scholastic aptitude test results from the low level groups such as level four and five,. Therefore this study suggests and introduces a nationwide individual scholastic evaluation that would complement the limits and problems in the application method of the comparative school record.
