  • Microbeam PIXE, often called micro-PIXE, is one of powerful tools for analyzing a wide range of elements for various samples. Moreover, it has important applications of interest to the atmospheric science. In the present study, a qualitative elemental imagination for various atmospheric environmental species was attempted using micro-PIXE. Especially, in combination with a novel individual droplet collection method and the micro-PIXE analytical technique, the chemical specification of various individual atmospheric samples could be carried out. Here, we briefly introduce the results of an application of micro-PIXE to the study of atmospheric environment. The detailed spatial resolution of multiple elements for various samples like individual ambient particles, individual raindrops, individual fog droplets, and individual snow crystals could be successfully achieved by scanning 2.6 MeV $H^+$ micro beam ($1{\sim}2{\mu}m$) accelerated by 3 MeV single-end accelerator.

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze the success factors of information systems and the moderating effect of individual factors in mandatory environment. Methods: In order to test the model, a questionnaire survey is delivered from salespersons of an insurance company in Seoul, Korea. 200 questionnaires are finally analyzed. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is adopted to analyze the data and Smart PLS 2.0 is used for examining the moderator effect. Results: The extended model proposed in this paper adopted individual factors and examined their moderator effect among constructs. An empirical test is carried out accordingly in order to test the model proposed in this paper. The results reveal that individual factors (i.e. Computer Self-Efficacy, Anxiety, Personal Innovativeness in IT) have a significant moderating effect on individual performance in the environment of mandatory information system usage. Conclusion: This paper extended the research field of information system success model to information systems in mandatory environment regarding differences of individual factors.

  • We examined gender-specific behaviors in children and classified types of bullying behavior among 1,181 fifth and sixth grade elementary schools students. Differences were identified in individual variables, family environment variables, and school environment variables. Furthermore the behavioral tendencies of those variables towards bullying were also investigated. Collected data were subjected to descriptive and comparative statistical analysis using the SPSS program(Ver 15.0). Results showed that tendency towards bullying was gender specific. Bullying behavior, reinforcing behavior, assistant behavior, and onlooking behavior in boys were influenced by individual factors only. However, defending behavior in boys was influenced by individual and school factors, while victimizing behavior was influenced by individual and family factors. In girls, onlooking behavior was only influenced by individual factors, while reinforcing behavior was influenced by individual and family factors. Bullying behavior, defending behavior, assistant behavior, and victimizing behavior in girls were influenced by individual, family, and school factors.

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest directions for urban planning and policies for the creation of a happy urban environment. To achieve this objective, this study extracted the urban environment characteristic elements that were expected to affect the levels of individual happiness and empirically analyzed the factors that affect the happiness levels of people. To determine the elements of the urban environment, this research analyzed the variables, urban environment characteristics, such as physical environment, natural environment, social environment, and individual characteristics. Regarding the physical environment of the city, a lower population density and a higher level of walking environment satisfaction showed a high level of individual happiness. In terms of the natural environment of the city, more spacious park areas and higher green area satisfaction showed a high level of individual happiness. Finally, regarding the social environment of the city, social trust was found to affect the happiness levels.

  • This study is intended to evaluate the value of functional aspect from the viewpoint of habitat. The indicators that are used in biotope evaluations are various, but most of them use the criteria to evaluate the naturality. This evaluation method cannot appropriately reflect the functional characteristics coming from relation to the surrounding biotope. In this study, the connectivity, cohesion and diversity between individual biotope are quantitatively measured by a landscape index. It is hard to draw the functional value of individual biotopes because the landscape index related to connectivity, cohesion and diversity comes from a landscape having a number of biotopes. The concept of contribution was used to overcome this limitation. The concept of contribution is to quantify how much each individual biotope contributes to the connectivity, cohesion, and diversity in a certain range of landscape by deriving the amount of change in the landscape index according to the presence or absence of each individual biotope. In order to understand the characteristics of evaluation results in functional aspect, this research has done a comparative analysis of the previous research findings in the same target area. According to the result of the research, individual biotopes such as artificial forests, fragmented natural forests, and small planting sites were highly rated.

  • This research is an empirical study on an attributions style of individual economic success based on the attributions theory. I established the title of an empirical study on an attributions style of an individual economic success based on a theoretical analysis and an advanced research of an attributions theory. This paper conducted a survey of 238 adults inhabited in Seoul Metropolitan Area by age and gender sample extraction method for an empirical study. A results on attributions factors of individual economic success, Persons under 1billions won indicated that an individual economic success charged off ingrained environment(72.1%) and efforts(18.0%). Persons over 3 billions won suggested that an individual economic success charged off efforts(48.0%) and ingrained environment(12.0%). A man of few wealth showed that an individual economic success chalked up to an ingrained environment. But wealthy persons demonstrated that an individual economic success charged off an individual efforts by attributions style of cause perception, Weiner(1979).

  • This study was undertaken to measure the properties of individual mineral particles in an artificially saturated atmosphere at a vertical extinct mine with 430 m height. By synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence (SR-XRF) microprobe analysis, it was possible to determine the elemental composition of residual insoluble particles on individual cloud droplet replicas formed on the Collodion film. The XRF visualized elemental maps enabled us not only to presume the chemical mixing state of particles retained in cloud droplet, but also to estimate their source. Details about the individual mineral particles captured by artificial cloud droplets should be helpful to understand about the removal characteristics of dust particles such as interaction with clouds. Nearly all individual particles captured in cloud droplets are strongly enriched in Fe. Mass of Fe is ranged between 41 fg and 360 fg with average 112 fg. There is a good agreement between single particle analysis by SR-XRF and bulk particle analysis by PIXE.

  • In this paper, we analyze the information asymmetry among investors in online trading environment using rumors which are collected in the Korean stock market for the eleven-year period between January 2004 and December 2014. We find that cumulative abnormal return of sample firms is negative and statistically significant, indicating that a significant fall of the stock price starts before the online disclosure, suggesting that the rumors were reflected in the stock price to a significant extent. Furthermore, individual investors show net purchases on firms prior to disclosure while institutional investors show net sales, showing that individual investors trade unfavorably vis-$\grave{a}$-vis institutional investors. This phenomenon is more evident for the KOSDAQ. This result confirms that the information asymmetry exists between individual and institutional investors in online trading environment.

  • Signal individual reconnaissance and identification is an extremely important research topic in non-cooperative domains such as electronic countermeasures and intelligence reconnaissance. Facing the characteristics of the complexity and changeability of current communication environment, how to realize radiation source signal individual identification under the low SNR conditions is an emphasis of research. A novel emitter individual identification method combined bi-spectrum analysis with wavelet feature is presented in this paper. It makes a feature fusion of bi-spectrum slice characteristics and energy variance characteristics of the secondary wavelet transform coefficient to identify MFSK signals under the low SNR (signal-to-noise ratios) environment. Theoretical analyses and computer simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has good recognition performance with the ability to suppress noise and interference, and reaches the recognition rate of more than 90% when the SNR is -6dB.
