경력단절여성의 개인특성에 따른 재취업욕구 차이 분석 (Analysis of the Differences in Re-employment Need on the Individual Characteristic of Career Interrupted Woman)

  • 본 연구는 경력단절여성의 개인특성에 따른 구직의사와 구직활동의 재취업욕구 차이를 분석하여 이들의 경제활동을 지원하는데 필요한 자료와 정보를 제공하고자 한다. 연구의 목적은 경력단절여성과 직업교육, 개인특성과 재취업욕구의 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 선행연구를 검토하고 실증분석 하였다. 경력단절여성 중 직업교육경험이 있는 자를 대상으로 실시한 150부의 설문자료를 분석하여, 일원변량분석과 T검증을 실시하였으며, SPSS 12.0v 프로그램을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 개인특성에 따라 재취업욕구에 차이가 있으며, 구직의사와 구직활동에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 경력단절여성의 개인특성에 따라 재취업 방안을 제시 할 수 있다는 것을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 경력단절여성의 개인특성을 고려한 맞춤형 교육과 제도개선이 필요하다는 점을 제안하였다.

걸음마기 한국아동의 어휘발달 : 단어유목, 어휘구성, 성 차 및 개인차에 관한 기초분석 (Vocabulary in Korean-Speaking Toddlers : A Preliminary Analysis of Word Class, Composition, Gender, and Individual Variation)

  • Mothers of 58 20-month-olds in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, completed vocabulary checklists for their children. When vocabulary level was taken into account, children's vocabularies contained relatively greater proportions of nouns than other word classes, and more verbs than adjectives or closed-class words. Correlations among word classes showed that each word class was consistently positively correlated with every other class. Girls' vocabularies showed evidence of being larger than boys. Large individual differences in the sizes of children's vocabularies were found. Factors that influence vocabulary size and can account for gender and individual differences are discussed. Noun prevalence in the vocabularies of children learning to speak Korean, and the merits of several theories that may account for this word-class prevalence pattern, are evaluated.

여성 노인에서 집단과 개별 요부 운동이 요부 안정화 및 체중 부하에 미치는 효과 (Comparing the Effects on Elderly Women of Bearing Weights and Lumbar Stabilization Using Lumbar Muscle Exercises-Group vs. Individual Sessions with a Physical Therapist)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects, in elderly women, of (a) physical therapy with (b) individual and group lumbar muscle exercise Methods: Forty-two elderly women took part in this study. Their average age was 52.59 years. All subjects participated in the study for 8 weeks, doing exercises 3 days per week. All participants were assessed on the Oswestry disability index (ODI), Gaitview. The data were analyzed using paired t-tests. Results: Foot pressure and ODI scores showed statistically significant pre- to post-exercise differences for both groups. We also found significant differences between group therapy and individual therapy. There were changes in mean ODI scores, but these were not significant. Conclusion: Eight weeks participation in an was found to be effective in improving the health of older women. Individual therapy with a physical therapist is more effective than group therapy in creating harmonious movement of the lower extremity and lumbar stability. The results of our study suggests the benefit of an exercise program with a physical therapist.

한복브랜드 창업가 및 종사자 특성에 따른 한복 교육, 공공지원 수요 연구 (Assessing the Demand for Hanbok Education and Public Support Using the Characteristics of Hanbok Brand Entrepreneurs and Workers)

  • The growth of the fashionable hanbok market has led to a significant increase in the number of entrepreneurs or prospective entrepreneurs with small hanbok businesses. To develop the hanbok industry, the public sector is developing and providing education and support programs to enhance the competencies of individual hanbok brand entrepreneurs. This study conducted a survey of 213 subjects such as business operators, workers, and prospective workers in the changing hanbok industry. This study investigated their hanbok education experiences as well as future demands for education and public support programs. To explore differences based on individual characteristics, this study measured such characteristics using entrepreneurial orientation as well as the artistic and entrepreneurial competencies important in running a hanbok brand and analyzed the relationship demand for education and public support. Hanbok brand worker characteristics were classified into four groups based on individual characteristics: "traditionalist," "entrepreneur," "opportunist," and "businessman." Differences existed in terms of detailed education experience and demand as well as demand for public support, depending on the group. The results of this study contribute to development of hanbok curriculums that consider individual characteristics, the effective incubation of new and prospective hanbok brand entrepreneurs, as well as the research on founding small-scale fashion businesses.

Personalized Diets based on the Gut Microbiome as a Target for Health Maintenance: from Current Evidence to Future Possibilities

  • Recently, the concept of personalized nutrition has been developed, which states that food components do not always lead to the same metabolic responses, but vary from person to person. Although this concept has been studied based on individual genetic backgrounds, researchers have recently explored its potential role in the gut microbiome. The gut microbiota physiologically communicates with humans by forming a bidirectional relationship with the micronutrients, macronutrients, and phytochemicals consumed by the host. Furthermore, the gut microbiota can vary from person to person and can be easily shifted by diet. Therefore, several recent studies have reported the application of personalized nutrition to intestinal microflora. This review provides an overview of the interaction of diet with the gut microbiome and the latest evidence in understanding the inter-individual differences in dietary responsiveness according to individual baseline gut microbiota and microbiome-associated dietary intervention in diseases. The diversity of the gut microbiota and the presence of specific microorganisms can be attributed to physiological differences following dietary intervention. The difference in individual responsiveness based on the gut microbiota has the potential to become an important research approach for personalized nutrition and health management, although further well-designed large-scale studies are warranted.

Effects of Critical Thinking Strategies on Knowledge Acquisition, Learning Outcome and Student Satisfaction in Web-based Argumentation

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of Critical Thinking Strategy supporting argumentation activities between learners. The research question is whether the form of Critical Thinking Strategy offered to support meaningful interaction of collaborative argumentation between learners influences the knowledge acquisition, learning outcome, and student satisfaction. For this, the collaboration outcome of the group, the level of individual knowledge acquisition, the level of students satisfaction were measured as outcome of argumentation activity and their differences analyzed. This study concludes the following: A comparison of the group that was provided with Critical Thinking Strategy (test group) and the group provided with general argumentation scaffolds (compared group) showed there wasn't statistically significant differences in the quality of the learning outcome of collaboration between the groups and in students satisfaction. But there was significant difference in the degree of individual acquisition depending on the offering of scaffolding for Critical Thinking. Therefore, as premised in this study, supporting meaningful mutual interaction between learners during collaborative argumentation using Critical Thinking Strategy has a positive influence on the individual acquisition of domain knowledge. The group provided with scaffolding for Critical Thinking gained higher effect in the degree of knowledge sharing and individual acquisition of domain knowledge compared to the group provided with general argumentation scaffolding.

지향성 탐지 기제에서의 개인차: 전공에 따른 뇌 활성화 영역 (Individual Differences in Intentionality Detection: Brain Activation Areas According to College Major)

  • 본 연구에서는 마음이론의 기본적 기제로 알려진 지향성 탐지 기제에서의 개인차를 알아보기 위하여 대비되는 두 가지 전공 영역의 참가자들이 과제를 수행하는 동안 기능적 자기공명 영상을 촬영하여 뇌 활성화 영역을 비교해보았다. 공학 전공자의 경우에는 우반구의 하두정소엽과 상두정소엽이 활성화되었던(이승복 등, 2006) 반면, 동일한 지향성 탐지 과제를 수행하는 동안 심리학 전공자는 좌반구의 하전두회, 방추상회, 상측두회와 우반구의 방추상회와 변연상회가 활성화되었다. 이런 결과는 참가자의 전공 배경에 따라 지향성 탐지를 하는 동안 활성화되는 뇌 영역들에 차이가 있음을 분명히 보여준다. 지향성 탐지 과제 수행과 참가자 특성간의 관계를 논의하였다.

  • Recent development of teachable agent provides learners with active roles as knowledge constructors and focuses on the individualization. The aim of this adaptive agent is not only to maximize the learner's cognitive functions but also to enhance the interests and motivation to learn. In order to establish the relationships among user characteristics and response patterns and to extract the algorithm among variables, we measured the individual characteristics and analyzed logs of the teachable agent named KORI (KORea university Intelligent agent) through the student modeling. A correlation analysis was conducted to identify the relationships among individual characteristics, user responses, and learning outcomes. Among hundreds of possible relationships between numerous variables in three dimensions, nine key user responses were extracted, which were highly correlated with either individual characteristics and learning outcomes. The results suggest that certain type of learner responses or the combination of the responses would be useful indices to predict the learners' individual characteristics and ongoing learning outcome. This study proposed a new type of dynamic assessment for individual differences and ongoing cognitive/motivational learning outcomes through the computation of responses without measuring them directly. The construction of individualized student model based on the ongoing response pattern of the user that are highly correlated with the individual differences and learning outcome may be the useful methodology to understand the learner's dynamic change during learning.

한국 MIS요원의 주요 경력지향유형과 유형별 직무요소들의 가치 부여 차이에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Major Career Orientations of Korean MIS Personnel and the Differences in the Values of Job Factors between Career Orientations)

  • Matching individual career desire and career path is desirable for individual motivation and organizational effectiveness. Some studies reported that major career orientations of MIS personnel are technical and managerial orientation. Furthermore, dual ladder system is based on the same notion above. However, subsequent research conclusions of this issues have been contradictory. Mnwhile, past studies on the work value of MIS personnel are mainly concentrated on the differences between MIS personnel and other occupations. To date, the study on the differences in the values of job factors between major career orientations is rare. The purpose of this study is to find out major career orientation of Korean MIS personnel and the differences of values of job factors between major orientations. The research result is two conclusions. First, major career orientations of Korean MIS personnel are technical and managerial orientation. Second, both group do not have different values about job property related factors, but managerial orientation group gives high values to the some organization related factors such as company policy, responsibility, authority, salary level and opportunity of promotion.
