성별에 따른 청소년의 주관적 수면충족감에 영향을 미치는 요인: 2016년 제 12차 청소년건강행태온라인조사를 기반으로 (Factors Influencing Subjective Sleep Sufficiency among Korean Adolescent by Gender: Based on 2016 12th Korean Youth Risk Behavior Survey)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 성별에 따라 한국 청소년의 개인적, 가족적 및 환경적 특성과 수면충족감 정도를 비교하고, 개인적, 가족적 및 환경적 특성과 주관적 수면충족감과의 관련성을 파악하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 2016년 제 12차 청소년건강행태온라인조사의 원시자료를 활용하였고, 남학생 33,803명, 여학생 31,725명, 총 65,528명의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 수면충족감을 나타낸 비율은 남학생 33.4%, 여학생은 19.5%로 나타났다. 남학생과 여학생 모두, 개인적 특성은 우울경험, 자살생각, 학업성적, 스트레스, 주관적 행복감, 주관적 건강인지, 음주 및 흡연, 약물 경험, 알레르기비염 및 아토피피부염 진단여부, 가족적 특성은 경제 상태, 부모님 학력, 주거형태, 환경적 특성은 학교급, 학교유형, 고민상담자 유무가 주관적 수면충족감에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 개인적 특성 중 아침식사 빈도와 천식 진단 여부는 남학생에서만, 신체활동 여부는 여학생의 수면충족감에만 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 개인적 특성의 정신건강이 청소년의 주관적 수면충족감에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로, 한국 청소년의 주관적 수면충족감을 증진시키기 위한 간호 중재는 성별에 따른 차이를 고려해 적용해 나가야 할 것이다.

서울시내일부 고등학교 학생들의 흡연실태에 관한 조사연구 (A Survey on Cigarette Smoking Behavior of High School Students in Seoul)

  • It is well known that smoking habit is hazardous to health, especially for juvenile. The present study on smoking behavior of high school students in Seoul has two major objectives. The first objective is to find out the smoking behavior of high school students in Seoul. Toward this objective, individual's smoking experience has been examined as ever smoking and never smoking. The second objective is to determine the variables associated with their smoking behavior at the individual, family and school environment levels. For the data collection, the survey was carried out for the four high schools in Seoul from September 15 through October 15, 1982. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1. Smoking behavior of the students 1) Out of 1,278 respondents, 30.2% of them were found to be current smokers and 29.3% of them were former smokers. This implies that around 60% of school students in Seoul have experienced smoking. 2) A significant differences in the current smoking rates between two types of the school students were shown as 19.3% for day-time school and 42% for night-time school. 3) In terms of the current smoking behavior, the students who don't live with parents were higher in smoking rate than those of the living with parents. 2. Attitudes and knowledge about smoking 1) Attitudes of students toward smoking in high school days were shown that around 17% of them agreed with it and around 64% of them disagreed with it. 2) Around 99% of the respondents answered that their smoking is harmful for health. A source of the information about negative effects of smoking on health was 'Radio and TV' (23.9%) as the most influential, 'school teacher' (20.9%), 'Newspaper' (18.2%) and so on. 3. Behavioral analysis for the current smokers 1) The factors affected for motivation in the first smoking were 'curiosity' (59.7%), 'temptation of friend' (19.7%), 'resistance feeling, (7.1%), 'merely interest and pleasure' (6%) respectively. 2) The time of the first smoking was 'third grade of Junior-high school' (31.5%) as highest, 'first grade of Senior-high school' (23.7%) and 'second grade of Junior-high school' (14.7%). 3) An average daily number of cigarettes consuming of current smokers was seven cigarettes. 4. Family and school-mates influences on individual's smoking behavior 1) The data revealed a significant relationship between student's smoking and their parent's smoking behavior. Around 75% of the students whom both parents are smoking have experienced cigarette smoking. It was found that the individual's smoking behavior was influenced by his sibling. Around 65% of the students whom brothers are smoking have experienced cigarette smoking. 2) The 'Smoking-Index' of friendship network or a group explained individual's smoking behavior in the group. The result of dyad analysis of smoking behavior in the friendship network showed that a high score of 'Smoking-Index' tended to be explained an adoption of smoking behavior at the individual level in the group. on the other hand, a low score of 'Smoking-Index' explained non-smoking behavior in the group.

전문대학생의 학습과정 분석에 관한 연구 : K-전문대학을 중심으로 (A Study on the Analysis of College Students' Learning Process : Based on the surveys in K-College)

  • 본 연구는 전문대학생들의 학습참여에 관한 학습과정 수준이 성별, 수업연한, 계열, 학점에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 비교 분석하였다. 연구대상은 G시 소재 K전문대학 정규교육과정 재학생들 중 2015학년도 2학기 학습과정 설문조사 참여에 응답한 재학생 총 684명이었다. 측정도구는 전문대학 학습과정 분석 척도를 수정 및 보완하여 사용하였다. 연구방법은 빈도분석과 성별, 수업연한, 계열, 학점에 따라 전문대학생들의 학습과정 수준 차이를 살펴보기 위하여 일원배치 분산분석과 사후검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 성별에 따른 전문대학생의 학습과정은 하위요인 중 수업 외 학습활동, 수업 중 학습활동, 학습성과, 대학시설서비스에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 수업연한에 따른 전문대학생의 학습과정은 하위요인 중 수업 외 학습활동, 수업 중 학습활동, 수업만족도, 대학시설서비스에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 계열에 따른 전문대학생의 학습과정은 하위요인 중 수업 외 학습활동, 수업 중 학습활동, 학습 상호작용, 학습성과에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 학점에 따른 전문대학생의 학습과정은 학습과정과 전체 하위요인(수업 외 학습활동, 수업 중 학습활동, 수업만족도, 학습 상호작용, 학습성과, 대학 시설 서비스)에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과에 대한 논의 및 함의를 기술하였다.

알츠하이머병 환자에서 행동심리증상의 성별차이 (Gender Differences in Behavioral Psychological Symptoms of Dementia in Patients with Alzheimer's Disease)

  • 연구목적 알츠하이머병 환자들의 행동심리증상(BPSD)은 임상적인 문제들을 일으켜 결국 기능의 감퇴, 간병인 스트레스, 입원, 사망률의 증가를 가져온다. 최근의 연구는 성별차이가 BPSD에서 중요한 역할을 한다고 보고하고 있으나, BPSD와 성별 사이 연관에 대한 국내 연구는 시행된 적이 없었다. 이에 본 연구는 알츠하이머병 환자들의 BPSD가 성별 차이에 의해 영향을 받는 것인지를 검증해 보고자 실시하였다. 방 법 면담과 인지기능평가를 통해 DSM-IV 진단기준에 의하여 알츠하이머병으로 진단받은 98명의 환자들이 본 연구에 참가하였다. 간이정신상태검사(MMSE), 임상치매평가척도(CDR), 전반적 퇴화척도(GDS), 한국형 신경정신행동검사(K-NPI)를 사용하여 인지기능 및 BPSD를 평가하였다. 성별 차이를 확인하기 위해서 독립 t 검증을 사용하여 분석하였으며, MMSE, CDR, GDS와 NPI 사이의 관련성을 살펴보기 위해 피어슨 상관분석을 사용하였다. 결 과 알츠하이머병 환자들의 BPSD에서 통계적으로 유의미한 성별 차이는 관찰되지 않았다. MMSE와 NPI 총점, 그리고 NPI 하위영역인 환각과 유의한 상관관계를 보였으며, CDR의 경우 NPI 총점, 무감동/무관심, 과민/불안정과, GDS의 경우 NPI 하위영역인 환각과 유의한 상관관계를 나타내었다. 결 론 본 연구결과 우리나라 알츠하이머병 환자들의 BPSD에서 성별의 차이는 나타나지 않았지만, 추후 알츠하이머형 치매의 BPSD가 성별 차이에 의한 것인지 혹은 개인 차에 의한 것인지를 더 명확하게 밝혀내기 위한 광범위하고 지속적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

Social Capital in Mangrove Management: A Case Study in Lampung Province, Indonesia

  • The objective of this study is to identify the individual characteristics and the elements of social capital hence a suitable design of social capital reinforcement can be proposed to promote a sustainable community-based mangrove management. The research conducted in three villages that were selected based on mangrove ecological differences in Lampung Province, Indonesia. Qualitative data was collected through field observation and in-depth interviews with key informants. The results showed that the population in the three villages dominated on productive ages, worked as farmers, and less educated (only a half of the population had fulfilled the basic education standard of Indonesia). The study results also indicated that the social capital in the communities showed minimum condition of interpersonal attachment and cooperation. This condition was derived from the attitude of the people who only took personal benefit without concerning to others' welfare. Many programs conducted by government to ensure the conservation of mangroves were project-oriented with minor participation of community. The minor participation might also contributed to the minimum of social capital in the community. To improve social capital, the communities should strengthen mutual trust based on mutual benefit to increase members' participation in mangrove activity.

Categorization and production in lexical pitch accent contrasts of North Kyungsang Korean

  • Categorical production in language processing helps speakers to produce phonemic contrasts. This categorization and production is utilized for the production-based and imitation-based approach in the present study. Contrastive signals in speakers' speech reflect the shapes of boundaries with categorical characteristics. Signals that provide information about lexical pitch accent contrasts can introduce categorical distinctions for productive and cognitive selection. This experiment was conducted with nine North Kyungsang speakers for a production task and nine North Kyungsang speakers for an imitation task. The first finding of the present study is the rigidity of categorical production, which controls the boundaries of lexical pitch accent contrasts. The categorization of North Kyungsang speakers' production allows them to classify minimal pitch accent contrasts. The categorical production in imitation appeared in two clusters, representing two meaningful contrasts. The second finding of the present study is that there are individual differences in speakers' production and imitation responses. The distinctive performances of individual speakers showed a variety of curves. For the HL-LH patterns, the categorical production tended to be highly distinctive as compared to the other pitch accent patterns (HH-HL and HH-LH), showing that there are more continuous curves than categorical curves. Finally, the present study shows that, for North Kyungsang speakers, imitative production is the core type of categorical production for determining the existence of the lexical pitch accent system. However, several questions remain for defining that categorical production, which leads to ideas for future research.

Association of the CD226 Genetic Polymorphisms with Risk of Tuberculosis

  • Tuberculosis (TB), mainly disseminated by infection of the respiratory tract, remains an unsolved community health problem by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). However, because of the different susceptibility to MTB, people infected with MTB do not all develop TB. These differences of disease arise from individual genetic susceptibility as well as the property of the microorganisms itself. CD226, one of the genetic factors that influences TB, interact with its ligand PVR and ITGB2. It is induced various cellular responses that contribute multiple innate and adaptive responses. In a previous study, CD226 enhanced immune efficacy induced by Ag85A DNA vaccination that is secreted protein by MTB. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between six genetic polymorphisms of CD226 gene and TB status with Korean population. Our results show that two SNPs of CD226 were identified to associate with tuberculosis. The highest significant SNP was rs17081766 (OR=0.70, CI: 0.54~0.90, $P=5.4{\times}10^{-3}$). According to this study, polymorphisms of CD226 gene affect the outbreak of TB in MTB-infected patients. It is suggested that polymorphism of other genes also associated with immune responses results in susceptibility to TB. The results from this study suggest that not only the characteristics of the microorganism itself but also the genetic background of the individual may affect progression of TB in MTB-infected patients.

유아의 인지수준에 따른 협동학습의 효과 : 사회적 능력과 자아존중감을 중심으로 (The Effects of Cooperative Learning on Social Competence and Self-esteem According to Young Children's Intellectual Levels)

  • This study was aimed to at examining whether the effects of cooperative learning on children's social competence and self-esteem would be different in terms of young children's intellectual ability. To this end, a total of 64 five-year-old children attending two kindergartens in Kyunggi-Do were selected to participated in this study. Each child was tested on the short form of K-WPPSI and fell into one of two levels (high or low). The children in the experimental group took part in thirty-five 30~40 minute sessions of cooperative learning, while the control group engaged in individual learning. The results were as follows : First, children who participated in cooperative learning achieved higher improvements in social competence and self-esteem than children engaged solely in individual learning. Second, there were no any significant differences in improvement in terms of social competence and self-esteem between the high and the low intelligence levels. On the basis of these results, it could be concluded that cooperative learning had a number positive effects upon the levels of young children's social competence and self-esteem.

다수준 분석을 이용한 요양병원 서비스 질에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (Multi-level Analysis of Factors related to Quality of Services in Long-term Care Hospitals)

  • Purpose: In this research multi-level analysis was done to identify factors related to quality of services. Patient characteristics and organizational factors were considered. Methods: The data were collected from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service(HIRA) data base. The sample was selected from 17,234 patients who had been admitted between January 2007 and May 2008 to one of 253 long-term care hospitals located in Seoul, six other metropolitan cities or nine provinces The data were analyzed with SAS 9.1 using multi-level analysis. Results: The results indicated that individual level variables related to quality of service were age, cognitive ability, patient classification, and initial quality scores. The organizational level variables related to quality of service were ownership, number of beds, and turnover rate. The explanatory power of variables related to organizational level variances in quality of service was 23.72%. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that differences in the quality of services were related to organizational factors. It is necessary to consider not only individual factors but also higher-level organizational factors such as nurse' welfare and facility standards if quality of service in long term care hospitals is to be improved.

유아의 개인변인 및 어머니의 정서성과 유아의 사회적 능력의 관계 (The Relationship between Children's Individual Variables, Mothers' Emotionality and Children's Social Competence)

  • The purpose of this research was to identify the importance of social competence in early childhood, age 3 to 5, by examining the relationship between the children's variables such as gender, age, and temperament, with that of their mothers' emotionality, and the social competence. 72 children in the early childhood age bracket were surveyed. Three major findings were established. Firstly, there were no gender differences in relation to social competence. Children's adaptability and social activity were related to their pro-social behavior and the ability to internalize/externalize problems. Secondly, children exhibited pro-social behavior only when their mother's emotional reactivity was positive. hirdly, children's social competence was influenced by individual variables and their mothers' emotionality. Prosocial behavior, a lower ranking domain, was influenced by children's adaptability and mothers' emotional reactivity. The children's ability to internalize problem was influenced by adaptability. In contrast, The ability to externalize problem was influenced by the range of activities they were involved in. Overall, children's social competence was influenced by their age.
