The number of web service users has been increased rapidly as existing services are changed into the web-based internet applications. Therefore, it is necessary for us to use web log pre-processing technique to detect attacks on diverse web service transactions and it is also possible to extract web mining information. However, existing mechanisms did not provide efficient pre-processing procedures for a huge volume of web log data. In this paper, we proposed both a field based parsing and a high-speed log indexing mechanism based on the suggested B-tree Index Vector structure for performance enhancement. In experiments, the proposed mechanism provides an efficient web log pre-processing and search functions with a session classification. Therefore it is useful to enhance web attack detection function.

A XML Document has a structure which may be irregular The irregular document structure is difficult for users to know exactly. In this paper, we propose the XML document model and the structure retrieval method for efficient management and structure retrieval of XML documents. So we use fixed-sized LETID having the information of element, describe the structured information retrieval algorithm for parent and child element to represent the structured information of XML documents. Using this method, we represent the structured information of XML document efficiently. We can directly access to specific clement by simple operation, and process various queries. We expect the method to support various structured retrieval of specific element such as parent, child. and sibling elements.

In this paper, we present a comcurrency control scheme over the index structure in main memory databases using multiversion mechanism, and implement it on T-tree. As a well-known idea for comcurrency control, multiversion allows multiple transactions to reat and write different versions of the same data item, each transaction sees a consistent set of versions for all the data items it accesses[1]. Logical versioning and physical versioning techniques are used to keep versions of data item and versions of index node respectively. The main features of this multiversion indexing approach are (1)update operations and rotations on T-tree can take place concurrently, (2)the number of locking and latching requirement is sharply reduced because read-only transactions do not obtain any locks or latches and update transactions obtain latches only when actually performing the update, (3)it reduces storage overhead for tracking version and reclaims storage in time, and (4)it provides complete isolation of read-only transactions from update transactions, so the read-only transactions can get response information without any block.

In this study, we suggest the effective storage structure and management method for XML-based electrocardiography(ECG) data to support the interoperability between medical information systems, and implement the metadata system of ECG data providing the web-based information service. ECG matadata management system include functions for storing and managing as well as reporting PDF service of ECG data. We analyzed a characteristics of the data and access patterns for XML-based ECG and then used the non-partitioning storing method and indexing the extracted metadata from the HL7 aECC for supporting the quick search. We, using the template mechanism, converts the XML-based results data into various formats in order to provide services of the ECG reporting.

This paper proposes a dynamic-tiling-based bandwidth-efficient (DTBE) virtual reality (VR) streaming scheme. We consider 360-degree VR contents with multiple view points such as the front, back, upper, and bottom sides. At a given time, the focus of a client is always bound to a certain view among multiple view points. By utilizing this perspective, under our proposed scheme, tiles with high encoding rates are selectively assigned to the focused view where multiple view points consist of multiple tiles with different encoding rates. The other tiles with low encoding rates are assigned to the remaining view points. Furthermore, for reducing view adaptation delay, we design a novel rapid view adaptation mechanism that selectively delivers an I-frame during view point updates by using frame indexing. We implement the proposed scheme on a commercial VR test bed where we adopt the MPEG media transport (MMT) standard with high-efficiency video coding (HEVC) tile modes. The measurement-based experiments show that the proposed scheme achieves an average data usage reduction of almost 65.2% as well as average view adaptation delay reduction of almost 57.7%.
In this paper, an automatic construction method of theme melody index for large music database and an associative content-based music retrieval mechanism in which the constructed theme melody index is mainly used to improve the users' response time are proposed. First, the system automatically extracted the theme melody from a music file by the graphical clustering algorithm based on the similarities between motifs of the music. To place an extracted theme melody into the metric space of M-tree, we chose the average length variation and the average pitch variation of the theme melody as the major features. Moreover, we added the pitch signature and length signature which summarize the pitch variation pattern and the length variation pattern of a theme melody, respectively, to increase the precision of retrieval results. We also proposed the associative content-based music retrieval mechanism in which the k-nearest neighborhood searching and the range searching algorithms of M-tree are used to select the similar melodies to user's query melody from the theme melody index. To improve the users' satisfaction, the proposed retrieval mechanism includes ranking and user's relevance feedback functions. Also, we implemented the proposed mechanisms as the essential components of content-based music retrieval systems to verify the usefulness.

Recently, in content-based music information retrieval systems, to enhance the response time of retrieving music data from large music database, some researches have adopted the indexing mechanism that extracts and indexes the representative melodies. The representative melody of music data must stand for the music itself and have strong possibility to use as users' input queries. However, since the previous researches have not considered the musical composition forms, they are not able to correctly catch the contrast, repetition and variation of motif in musical forms. In this paper, we use an index automatically constructed from representative melodies such like first melody, climax melodies and similarly repeated theme melodies. At first, we expand the clustering algorithm in order to extract similarly repeated theme melodies based on the musical composition forms. If the first melody and climax melodies are not included into the representative melodies of music by the clustering algorithm, we add them into representative melodies. We implemented a prototype system and did experiments on comparison the representative melody index with other melody indexes. Since, we are able to construct the representative melody index with the lower storage by 34% than whole melody index, the response time can be decreased. Also, since we include first melody and climax melody which have the strong possibility to use as users' input query into representative melodies, we are able to get the more correct results against the various users' input queries than theme melody index with the cost of storage overhead of 20%.
Objectives : Somatic symptoms after the exposure of psychological trauma frequently developed. However, the somatic symptoms are not covered under the diagnostic criteria of posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) in detail, although they are often associated with social and occupational functioning and patient-doctor relationships. The aim of this article is to highlight the potential mechanisms, the common manifestations, and the treatment of the somatic symptoms. Methods : This article studied the somatic symptoms searched using academic search engines like PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, KoreaMed and KISS from the earliest available date of indexing to March 31, 2016. Results : The mechanism of somatic symptoms after the exposure was described as psychological and physiological aspects. Psychological mechanism consisted of psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral theory, and others. Physiological mechanism involved changes in neuroendocrine and immune system, autonomic nervous system and central nervous system. Somatization associated with psychological trauma manifested various health conditions on head and neck, chest, abdominal, musculoskeletal, and dermatological and immune system. Few studies described the standardization of treatment for the somatic symptoms. Conclusions : Clinicians and disaster behavioral health providers should think of the accompanying somatic symptoms during intervention of psychological trauma and PTSD. Further studies are needed on the somatic symptoms seen in psychological trauma and PTSD.

MANET and P2P applications have a common nature that they don't have any fixed infrastructures that might maintain network topologies. With such common characteristics, a P2P application can be a killer application over MANET. Due to absence of reliable node which serves indexing services in MANET, fully distributed P2P applications are more suitable for MANET. By using DHT like Chord, we can save network bandwidth and avoid a point of failure of a directory server. However, since MANET allows nodes to depart from network freely, P2P file sharing applications using Chord lookup protocol should address how to recover the keys stored at the departed node. In this paper, we propose BU-Chord in order to detect and recover the departure of nodes by creating and storing backup file information in distributed manner. Our BU-Chord shows off better performance than existing Chord especially in case of high departure rate of nodes.
We present an interactive and accurate collision detection algorithm for deformable, polygonal objects based on the streaming computational model. Our algorithm can detect all possible pairwise primitive-level intersections between two severely deforming models at highly interactive rates. In our streaming computational model, we consider a set of axis aligned bounding boxes (AABBs) that bound each of the given deformable objects as an input stream and perform massively-parallel pairwise, overlapping tests onto the incoming streams. As a result, we are able to prevent performance stalls in the streaming pipeline that can be caused by expensive indexing mechanism required by bounding volume hierarchy-based streaming algorithms. At run-time, as the underlying models deform over time, we employ a novel, streaming algorithm to update the geometric changes in the AABB streams. Moreover, in order to get only the computed result (i.e., collision results between AABBs) without reading back the entire output streams, we propose a streaming en/decoding strategy that can be performed in a hierarchical fashion. After determining overlapped AABBs, we perform a primitive-level (e.g., triangle) intersection checking on a serial computational model such as CPUs. We implemented the entire pipeline of our algorithm using off-the-shelf graphics processors (GPUs), such as nVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX, for streaming computations, and Intel Dual Core 3.4G processors for serial computations. We benchmarked our algorithm with different models of varying complexities, ranging from 15K up to 50K triangles, under various deformation motions, and the timings were obtained as 30~100 FPS depending on the complexity of models and their relative configurations. Finally, we made comparisons with a well-known GPU-based collision detection algorithm, CULLIDE [4] and observed about three times performance improvement over the earlier approach. We also made comparisons with a SW-based AABB culling algorithm [2] and observed about two times improvement.
