On propagation of elastic waves in an embedded sigmoid functionally graded curved beam

  • This investigation studies the characteristics of wave dispersion in sigmoid functionally graded (SFG) curved beams lying on an elastic substrate for the first time. Homogenization process was performed with the help of sigmoid function and two power laws. Moreover, various materials such as Zirconia, Alumina, Monel and Nickel steel were explored as curved beams materials. In addition, curved beams were rested on an elastic substrate which was modelled based on Winkler-Pasternak foundation. The SFG curved beams' governing equations were derived according to Euler-Bernoulli curved beam theory which is known as classic beam theory and Hamilton's principle. The resulted governing equations were solved via an analytical method. In order to validate the utilized method, the obtained outcomes were compared with other researches. Finally, the influences of various parameters, including wave number, opening angle, gradient index, Winkler coefficient and Pasternak coefficient were evaluated and indicated in the form of diagrams.

  • Via THz Time domain spectroscopy, the characterization of high conductive n-type, 1.31Ω cm silicon can be measured by directly analyzing the multiple reflections using Fabry-Perot theory. The magnitude and phase difference of total transmission show good agreement between theoretical and experimental values over a 2.5 THz frequency range with complex index of refraction and power absorption. The measured absorption and dispersion are strongly frequency-dependent, and all of the results are well fit by a Cole-Davidson type distribution.

A refined vibrational analysis of the FGM porous type beams resting on the silica aerogel substrate

  • Taking a look at the previously published papers, it is revealed that there is a porosity index limitation (around 0.35) for the mechanical behavior analysis of the functionally graded porous (FGP) structures. Over mentioned magnitude of the porosity index, the elastic modulus falls below zero for some parts of the structure thickness. Therefore, the current paper is presented to analyze the vibrational behavior of the FGP Timoshenko beams (FGPTBs) using a novel refined formulation regardless of the porosity index magnitude. The silica aerogel foundation and various hydrothermal loadings are assumed as the source of external forces. To obtain the FGPTB's properties, the power law is hired, and employing Hamilton's principle in conjunction with Navier's solution method, the governing equations are extracted and solved. In the end, the impact of the various variables as different beam materials, elastic foundation parameters, and porosity index is captured and displayed. It is revealed that changing hygrothermal loading from non-linear toward uniform configuration results in non-dimensional frequency and stiffness pushing up. Also, Al - Al2O3 as the material composition of the beam and the porosity presence with the O pattern, provide more rigidity in comparison with using other materials and other types of porosity dispersion. The presented computational model in this paper hopes to help add more accuracy to the structures' analysis in high-tech industries.

수평 흐름형 미생물 연료전지에서 유체의 흐름 형태에 따른 전력수율 평가 (The Effect of Fluid Flow on Power Density in a Horizontal-flow Microbial Fuel Cell)

  • 본 연구에서는 수평 흐름 미생물 연료전지에서 유체 흐름이 전력 수율에 미치는 영향을 평가하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 산화전극 반응조의 바닥에 아크릴 막대를 설치하여 각각 4가지 유체의 흐름을 유도하였다. 각 반응조 형상에 따라 최대전력수율을 평가하였으며 추적자 실험을 통해 유체 흐름을 해석하였다. 분극 곡선 실험 결과 반응조별 최대 전력수율은 case 1, 2, 3 및 4에서 각각 95.7, 129.1, 190.9 및 $114.2mW/m^2$로 나타났다. 좌우 도류벽을 설치하여 S 형태의 유체 흐름을 유도한 case 3 반응조에서 가장 높은 전력이 생산되는 것으로 나타났다. 추적자 실험의 Morrill 분산지수 값에 따르면 case 4 반응조의 경우 반응조 전체에 기질이 골고루 분포하여 미생물 활성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 월류 현상에 의해 안정적인 운영을 할 수 없을 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 case 3 반응조의 경우 안정적인 운영 및 높은 전력수율을 얻을 수 있으므로 미생물 연료전지로 이용하기에 효과적일 것으로 나타났다.

딸기 시설재배지에서 점박이응애의 발생과 분포 (Occurrence and distribution of Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acarina: Tetranychidae) in strawberry greenhouse)

  • Mean densities of two-spotted spider mite (TSM), Tetranichus urticae Koch adults from January to April in 2014 to investigate the occurrence and dispersion pattern of T. urticae on purpose of developing a monitoring method in the strawberry PVC house. Difference of density of T. urticae adult on middle and both side of leaf wasn't significantly. Density of T. urticae in investigation at different furrows and investigating points was the highest at the right and left sides of a furrow in strawberry PVC house. In results of comparing the dispersion incides of Taylor's power law (TPL) with Iwao's patchiness regression (IPR), TPL described better mean-relationship for the dispersion indieces compared to IPR. Slopes and intercepts of TPL from leaf samples did not differ among surveyed regions. Also, Distribution of T. urticae in a strawberry PVC house was the gravitation of the distribution because b and ${\beta}$ values of TPL and IPR was bigger than 1.

광분배를 위한 Y-branch 제작과 광파이버와의 결합특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the fabrication of Y-branch for optical power distribution and its coupling properties with optical fiber)

  • In this paper, w designed an opical power distribution device for application to an optical switching and an optical subscriber loop. We fabricated PSG thin film by LPCVD. Based on the measured index of fabricted thin film, rib-type waveguide was transformed to two-dimension by the effective index method and we simulated dispersion property to find asingle-mode condition. We found that the optimum design parameters of rib-type waveguide are:cladding layer of 3.mu.m, core layer of 3.mu.m, buffer layer of 10.mu.m, and core width of 4.mu.m. Each side of the guiding region was etched down to 4.mu.m to shape the core. We used these optimum parameters of the rib-type waveguide with branching angle of 0.5.deg. and simulted the Y-branch waveguide by the BPM simulation. Numerical loss in branching area was claculated to be 0.1581dB and equal to the total loss of the Y-branch. The loss of the fabricated Y-branch waveguide on PSG film ws 1.6dB at .lambda.=1.3.mu.m before annealing but was 1.2dB after annealing at 1000.deg. C for 10 minutes. Consequently, the loss of branching area from 3000.mu.m to 6000.mu.m in the z-direction was 0.8dB, and single-mode propagation was confirmed by measuring the near field pattern. For coupling the fabricated Y-branch waveguide with an optical fiber, we fabricated V-groove which was used as the upholder of optical fiber. An etching angle was 54.deg. and the width and depth of guiding groove was 150.mu.m, 70.mu.m, respectively. The optical fiber is inserted onto V-groove. Both the Y-branch and V-groove were connected through the index matching oil. Coupling loss after connecting Y-branch and the optical fiber on V-groove was 0.34dB and that after injecting index mateching oil was 0.14dB.

감귤원에서 가을철 귤응애 성충의 공간분포와 표본조사 (Spatial Dispersion and Sampling of Adults of Citrus Red Mite, Panonychus citri(McGregor) (Acari: Tetranychidae) in Citrus Orchard in Autumn Season)

  • 귤응애 성충의 표본추출법을 개발하기 위하여 2개년(2001-2002년)동안 8월부터 11월까지 잎과 열매에 대해 각 조사일에 평균밀도를 조사하였다. 잎과 열매에서 귤응애 성충 밀도의 관계를 시기별로 비교하였으며, Taylor's power law (TPL)와 Iwao's patchiness regression (IPR)을 이용하여 분산지수를 비교하였다. 잎(X)과 열매(Y)에서 귤응애 성충 밀도의 관계는 ln(Y+l)=1.029 ln(X+l)($r^2$=0.80)의 직선적인 관계가 있었으며, 열매가 성숙될수록 잎보다 열매에서 귤응애 밀도가 높아지는 경향이었다. 잎과 열매의 표본조사에서 TPL이 IPR보다 평균-분산 관계를 더 잘 나타내었으며, TPL의 기울기와 절편은 두 표본단위간, 연도간에 차이가 없었다. 정착도 0.25일 때 요방제밀도 2.0, 2.5와 3.0에서의 의사결정을 위한 표본추출조사법을 개발하였으며, 조사에 필요한 최대조사나무수(고정표본크기에서 필요 나무수)는 각각 19, 16과 15주였으며, 이 때의 의사결정임 계값 $T_{critical}$은 각각 554,609와 659였다.,609와 659였다.

Guided waves of porous FG nanoplates with four edges clamped

  • Based on the nonlocal strain gradient (NSG) theory and considering the influence of moment of inertia, the governing equations of motion of porous functionally graded (FG) nanoplates with four edges clamped are established; The Galerkin method is applied to eliminate the spatial variables of the partial differential equation, and the partial differential governing equation is transformed into an ordinary differential equation with time variables. By satisfying the boundary conditions and solving the characteristic equation, the dispersion relations of the porous FG strain gradient nanoplates with four edges fixed are obtained. It is found that when the wave number is very small, the influences of nonlocal parameters and strain gradient parameters on the dispersion relation is very small. However, when the wave number is large, it has a great influence on the group velocity and phase velocity. The nonlocal parameter represents the effect of stiffness softening, and the strain gradient parameter represents the effect of stiffness strengthening. In addition, we also study the influence of power law index parameter and porosity on guided wave propagation.

파장 1.55$mu extrm{m}$에서 이중굴절율 분포를 가진 광섬유의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the characteristics of the Double Refractive Index Fiber in the 1.55$mu extrm{m}$)

  • 본 논문에서는 최저 손실 파장인 1.55cmum에서 단일모드 광섬유 특성을 연구하기 위하여 사다리꼴 분포를 일반화 시킨 이중굴적율 분포 [a승분포(a=2-$\infty$)+삼각형분포]를 제안하고 색분산 특성[색분산을 영(zero)으로 하는 최적 코어반경, 상대 굴적율차의 최소치, 파장에 대한 색분산의 변화율]을 구하였다. 그리고 파장 1.55um에서 계단형 분포보다 큰 코어 직경을 갖는 삼각형 분포와 특성을 비교해서 좋은 특성을 얻을 수 있었고, a의 값을 2-$\infty$범위로 변화시키면서 특성을 구한 결과 a의 값이 2 이상에서도 거의 같은 특성을 얻었다. 그러므로 사다리꼴 분포의 계단형 부분이 a승 분포(a=2-$\infty$) 형태로 제조되어도 같은 특성을 가지는 이론적 연구결과를 얻었다. 또한 본 논문에서 제안한 굴절율 분포는 a의 값에 따라서 여러 굴절율 분포를 나타내므로, 다중 크래딩 광섬유, Segmentaed Core Fiber 등에 이 굴절율 분포를 적용하여 여러 특성을 연구할 수 있다.

김치산업의 경제적 파급효과 분석 (The Analysis of Economic Effects of the Kimchi Industry)

  • 김치산업은 우리나라의 문화에 대한 척도로서 국민들의 자긍심을 높여주는 산업일 뿐만 아니라 국경제발전과 국민의 삶의 질 향상에 기여하고 있어 반드시 육성해야 하는 전략산업 중의 하나이다. 그러나 김치산업의 중요성과 가치에 대한 국가적인 공감대의 형성 부족으로 큰 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 한국은행이 2015년에 발표한 2013년 산업연관표를 이용하여 김치산업이 국민경제에 얼마만큼 기여하는지를 비교분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 한국은행의 2013년 산업연관표흫를 활용하여 김치산업연관표 만들어 분석해야 한다. 분석결과 김치산업의 총샌산유발액은 564,254십억원, 생산유발계수는 1.8418(열), 1.1760(행), 감응도계수는 0.6136 영향력계수는 0.9611 소득유발계수 0.1876 생산세유발계수는 0.0084 그리고 노동유발계수는 0.003 등으로 나타났다.
