Objectives The second to fourth digit ratio (2D : 4D) is known to reflect testosterone level during intrauterine period. Testosterone is essential for masculinization of brain. Cloninger's type II alcoholism is characterized by early age at onset and largely limited to males. Compared with type I alcoholism, type II alcoholism is thought to be masculine. There is a possibility that the digit ratio of type II alcoholism is low compared with type I. We examined digit length ratio in Cloninger's type I and II alcoholism to understand the effects of intrauterine testosterone on the development of alcoholism. Methods The participants were 87 alcohol dependent patients. We divided two subtypes of patients by Irwin's symptom list, based on Cloninger's concept. We captured the images of both palms by the scanner and measured the lengths of digits by the graphic program. Then we analyzed the digit ratios by independent-sample t-test. Results The mean 2D : 4D of type I was 0.942 (right), 0.952 (left). The mean 2D : 4D of type II was 0.927 (right), 0.940 (left). In both hands, 2D : 4D of type II was significantly lower than type I. Conclusions Type II alcoholism showed masculine type of digit length ratio compared with type I. It suggests the exposure of testosterone during intrauterine period might play an important role in determining the course and feature of alcoholism.

Purpose: Weight-bearing exercise is a type of physical exercise that is widely performed for rehabilitation after acquiring nervous-system diseases or sports-related injuries. It is one of the most commonly prescribed rehabilitation programs for strengthing of the lower extremities. Weight-bearing exercise is important for the conduct of such activity of daily living (ADLs) as walking, and up and down the stairs. The purpose of this study was to investigate the muscle activities during one-leg standing and one-leg squatting, the two most representative weight-bearing exercises. Methods: A total of 43 elderly (60~70 years old) males who could perform weight-bearing exercises were included in the study. During the one-leg standing and one-leg squatting, the electromyographic (EMG) signals were quantified as maximum voluntary isometric contraction (%MVIC) using surface EMG, and then the muscle activities of the lower extremities during the two exercises were compared. For statistical analysis, an independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA were performed. Results: The results of the study are as follows: (1) in the one-leg standing, the activity of the gluteus medius was the greatest among the vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, bicep femoris, (2) in the one-leg squatting, the activity of the vastus medialis was the greatest; and (3) the activity was greater in the one-leg squatting than in the single-leg standing exercise. Conclusion: The one-leg standing and squatting exercises are suitable for strengthening the muscles for the prevention of and recovery from lower-extremity injury, and for functional ADL in elderly people. In addition, dynamic exercise was shown to be more effective than static exercise for strengthening the muscles.
This is to study the accuracy of the actual size according to the TOD(table object distance; TOD) change when measuring blood vessels using angiography equipment, and to help the optimal selection of the device used accordingly. Balls similar to the size of common vessels were calibrated with TOD using 30 mm, 20 mm, 10 mm, 5 mm and acrylic phantoms, catheter calibration from 0 cm to 10 cm, 20 cm and 30 cm, respectively. It was measured whether there was a change in the measured value according to the change. The equipment used was GE Innova 3131 IQ equipment, and the image reconstruction method was GE AW4.7 post processing program. Two radiotechnologists were scanned three times by catheter calibration method and 3DRA(3dimension rotational angiography; 3DRA) volume rendering method. The independent sample T-test showed 0.981 (p> 0.05) to verify the significance between the two observers. As a result, in case of catheter calibration, the error rate at TOD 0 mm and 10 mm is within ± 10%, but when the TOD is changed to 20 mm and 50 mm respectively, the tolerance is ± 10% except for 30 mm ball exceeded. On the other hand, 3DRA was included within the tolerance range of ± 10% overall even when the TOD was changed from 0 mm to 50 mm. In the catheter calibration method, the larger the TOD, the larger the error range, and the 3DRA method was able to measure vascular vessels accurately close to the actual measurement without any consideration of the TOD.

The incidence of sports injuries differed significantly between the group with upper-level and lower-level stress scores. In addition, significant differences were found in the analysis of the correlation between number of sports injuries and stress scores, with regard to the psychological and emotional stress and the social stress against overall variables. Conclusion : The incidence of sports injuries was higher for the gymnasts with higher stress scores. In addition, correlation were found in the analysis of the between number of sports injuries and stress scores, emotional and psychological stress and the social stress.
The purposes of this study were to measure the service mind and customer orientation of employees and to identify the effect of service mind on customer orientation in elementary school foodservices. The questionnaires were distributed to foodservice employees of the 19 elementary schools, but collected from 12 schools in Gwangju, Gyeonggi. The statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS (ver. 18.0) for the independent sample t-test, ANOVA, Cronbach's alpha, principal component analysis, hierarchical & K-means cluster analysis, Pearson' correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Foodservice employees highly rated their service mind (3.94 out of 5 points), especially their perceptions on the importance of service (4.13 points). The effort to provide service was significantly different depending on the serving place (P<0.05). Employees had a high level of customer orientation (4.02 points), which was significantly influenced by age, position, or career (P<0.05), and cook license (P<0.01). As a result of cluster analysis for service mind, employees were divided into two groups: a low-service mind group (cluster 1) and a high-service mind group (cluster 2). Cluster 2 had a significantly higher overall customer orientation than cluster 1 (P<0.001). The pride in providing services (${\beta}$=0.390, P<0.01) and the perception of the importance of services (${\beta}$=0.297, P<0.05) showed a significant and positive effect on customer orientation.
Purpose: This study examined the influence of the consumption values on the attitudes and purchase intentions of consumers towards gluten-free products and compared consumption values, attitudes and purchase intentions according to the degree of health consciousness of the consumer. Methods: The data was collected from July 20, 2016 to August 2, 2016 through a questionnaire survey from three hundred and six consumers who had knowledge of gluten-free products. The data was analyzed by factor analysis, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, and an independent sample t-test using the SPSS program. Results: The regression results showed that the exploratory value (p<0.01) had a negative influence on the attitudes, and the functional value (p<0.001) and emotional value (p<0.001) had a positive influence on the consumers' attitudes. In addition, the attitudes (p<0.001) toward gluten-free products had a positive influence on the purchase intentions. Finally, the high health consciousness group answered with a significantly higher score on the consumption values, attitudes and purchase intentions than the lower group. Conclusion: These results highlight the causal relationship among consumption values, attitudes, and purchase intentions of consumers towards gluten-free products, and can provide a basic understanding of gluten free products regarding both marketing strategy and consumers' needs. The potential implications for gluten-free products manufacturers, limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the influence of operator experience level on the lifespan of the WaveOne Primary file (Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) in extracted teeth. Materials and Methods: Moderately curved canals of extracted maxillary and mandibular molars were randomly distributed into 2 groups: experienced and inexperienced operators. Ten files were allocated to each group (n = 10). Each canal was prepared until the working length was reached, and the same file was used to prepare additional canals until it separated. The number of canals prepared before file separation was recorded. The fragment length of each file was measured, and the location of the fragment in the canal was determined. Data were statistically analysed using the independent 2-sample t-test. Results: The 2 operators prepared a total of 324 moderately curved canals of maxillary and mandibular molars. There was no significant intergroup difference in the mean number of canals prepared (p = 0.27). The average lifespan of the WaveOne Primary file was 17.1 and 15.3 canals, and the longest lifespan was 25 and 20 canals, when used by experienced and inexperienced operators, respectively. There were no statistically significant intergroup differences in separated fragment length and location. Conclusions: Within the limitations of this study, operator experience level appears to have no effect on the lifespan of the WaveOne Primary file in preparation of moderately curved canals. Single teeth with multiple canals can be prepared safely even by a novice operator by using a single file.

Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the shrinkage and expansion strain of ultraviolet (UV)-cured resin according to the wavelength of the light source and compare the shrinkage and expansion. Methods: We prepared the mold with according to the ISO 4049 specimen. The size of the circle in the mold was prepared with a height of 6.02 mm and a diameter of 4 mm. UV-curable resin for three-dimensional (3D) printing was injected into the circular mold. The control group was irradiated with a wavelength of 400~405 nm using UV-curing equipment (400 group), and the experimental group was irradiated with a wavelength of 460~465 nm (460 group). Both groups were produced ten specimens. The produced specimen was first measured with a digital micrometer. After the first measurement, the specimen was immersed in a constant temperature water bath for 15 days, after which the second measurement was performed, and the third measurement was taken after 30 days. The measured values were analyzed using the independent sample t-test (α=0.05). Results: In the non-immersion water tank, the contraction was 0.9% in the 400 group and 1.3% in the 460 group. In the constant temperature bath, the expansion was high at -0.4% in the 400 group for 15 days, and the smallest expansion was -0.03% for the 400 group for 30 days. There were significant differences between the two groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: The 400 group had a lower UV resin specimen strain than the 460 group. Therefore, it is recommended to use the wavelength required by the UV-curing resin.
