Predicting Personal Credit Rating with Incomplete Data Sets Using Frequency Matrix technique (Frequency Matrix 기법을 이용한 결측치 자료로부터의 개인신용예측)

  • This study suggests a frequency matrix technique to predict personal credit rate more efficiently using incomplete data sets. At first this study test on multiple discriminant analysis and logistic regression analysis for predicting personal credit rate with incomplete data sets. Missing values are predicted with mean imputation method and regression imputation method here. An artificial neural network and frequency matrix technique are also tested on their performance in predicting personal credit rating. A data set of 8,234 customers in 2004 on personal credit information of Bank A are collected for the test. The performance of frequency matrix technique is compared with that of other methods. The results from the experiments show that the performance of frequency matrix technique is superior to that of all other models such as MDA-mean, Logit-mean, MDA-regression, Logit-regression, and artificial neural networks.

  • Some customer data of manufacturing industries have a large number of incomplete data set due to the customer's infrequent purchasing behavior and the limitation of customer profile data gathered from sales representatives. So that, most sophisticated data analysis methods may not be applied directly. This paper proposes a heuristic data analysis method to classify customers in household appliances industries. The proposed PD (percent of difference) method can be used for the discriminant analysis of incomplete customer data with simple mathematical calculations. The method is composed of variable distribution estimation step, PD measure and cluster score evaluation steps, variable impact construction step, and segment assignment step. A real example is also presented.

Incomplete Decisions on Reward-Based Crowdfunding Platforms: Exploring Motivations from Temporal and Social Perspectives

  • This study explores incomplete decision-making dynamics on reward-based crowdfunding platforms, focusing on temporal and social factors influencing backers' decisions. Utilizing the temporal aspect (i.e., pledging campaign phase) and social aspect (i.e., current pledged amount ratio) as stimuli within the stimulus-organism-response framework, our findings reveal that nearly 50.9% of respondents change their initial decisions, highlighting widespread incomplete information processing. Backers are more prone to altering decisions under heightened time pressure and display herding behaviors. Furthermore, backers exhibit an increased likelihood of changing decisions under heightened time pressure, coupled with a greater chance that the pledged goal amount will not be achieved. The study discusses theoretical and practical implications.

  • This paper considers the limit of the ratio of two incomplete beta functions $I_{x}(p+s,q+r)\;to\;I_{x}(p,q)\;as\;p+q{\rightarrow}{\infty}$. The results show that the limits depend on r,s,x and the limit of p/(p+q).

  • Some sufficient conditions on the existence and uniqueness of certain symmetric balanced incomplete block design are introduced. Also, a construction algorithm for the design and some examples are presented. The algorithm is developed based on the construction of subspaces of the three-dimensional vector space over a field.

  • XML is one of standard web languages. XML has a syntax architecture consisted of tags, which are used to descript contents and structures of a XML document. In XML documents, missing of markup tag is one of common factors generating incomplete inputs. Usually, editors will recognize incomplete inputs as syntax errors. And so, when editors find them, they will highlight lines in which syntax errors happened, and execute appropriate error handling routines. But, there are no more parsing actions. In this paper, we propose a method to recognize incomplete input strings and keep parsing phases going. To recognize pars missed grammatically in incomplete inputs and create them newly, we use an expanding parsing table. It includes additional parsing actions for newly generated input symbols. Through the information, incomplete inputs will be completed and parsing steps will be finished successively. Therefore, users can be assured that they make always correct XML documents, even if inputs are incomplete, and can not be nervous about input faults.

  • The objectives of this paper are to provide information on the characteristics of the discharge signals in a low-voltage indoor outlet. Most of electrical fires are caused by short circuits, overheating of wires, deterioration and incomplete connection of wiring devices. The last two cases are predictable before the occurrence of fire because of its slow progress. We have simulated the discharge signals caused by the deterioration and incomplete connection of wiring devices using aged outlets. From the experimental data, we could characterize the frequency spectrums of the discharge signals depending on the cases. The higher frequency components of the signal are attenuated by the capacitance and inductance of power lines as the measuring point is getting away from the discharges. Main frequency components of the discharge signal are existent at 600kHz - 1.5MHz in incomplete connections and at 210H7z - 8MHz in deteriorations of the outlet.

  • Recently, standardization is essential strategic tool for a firm to preoccupy a market. Also WTO TBT(Technical Barriers to Trade) makes importance of standardization greater in telecommunication industry. Therefore countries, not to speak of firms, recognize standards essential strategy to preoccupy markets.   • In many applications, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are required to be capable of course keeping, depth keeping, and height keeping. The ROV must be able to resist time-variant external forces and moments or frequent manipulate changes in some specified circumstances, which require the control system meets high precision, fast response, and good robustness. This study introduces a Fuzzy-Incomplete Derivative Ahead-PID (FIDA-PID) control system for a 500-meter ROV with four degrees of freedom (DOFs) to achieve course, depth, and height keeping. In the FIDA-PID control system, a Fuzzy Gain Scheduling Controller (FGSC) is designed on the basis of the incomplete derivative ahead PID control system to make the controller suitable for various situations. The parameters in the fuzzy scheme are optimized via many cycles of trial-and-error in a 10-meter-deep water tank. Significant improvements have been observed through simulation and experimental results within 4-DOFs.
