  • Purpose: This study was designed to search for nursing intervention strategies centering around the meaning structure of the nurse's turnover experience by applying phenomenological methods. Methods: The participants were 6 nurses in small and medium sized hospitals who had experienced at least 1 turnover. Data were collected used MP3 records. The data analysis was done by Giorgi (1985) method. Results: The results were divided into the following categories: 1) Careless decision: wrong decisions, imprudent desire, insufficient patience, unclear future, 2) Inappropriate working environment: irregular working hours, high workload, poor working environment, insufficient understanding of related divisions, lack of opinion collection, low salary, 3) Interpersonal relations problems: discord with colleagues, difficulty in relationships with others, difficulty in daily lives, 4) Lack of specialization: feeling of inertia, lack of role identification, lack of self identification, 5) Inappropriate coping: regret with clinical challenges, difficulty with a new environment, repentance, expectation, relative humility, 6) New self-dignity: expectation, new challenge, relaxing lives, decisions based on future-oriented confidence. Conclusion: The finding of this study will offer profound information on the nurse's turnover experience and provide basic raw materials for improving the quality of nursing performance and contribute to the development of hospital organization.

  • This study was to determine the inappropriate drug use in pediatric outpatients who received 2 or more prescriptions on the same day. Retrospective drug utilization reviews (DURs) were implemented to samples obtained from national health insurance claims data during December 2008 to February 2009, using 5 DUR criteria (duplication, drug-drug interaction, drug-disease interaction, drug-age contraindication, incorrect dosage) established in the Drug Information Framework (DIF)-$Korea^{TM}$, DUR program. Among 38,451 claims analyzed in the study, 74.7% had more than one conflicts in the 5 DUR modules. Among 16,472 patients analyzed, 49.6% had conflicts with duplication criteria composing of ingredient duplication (23.3%) and therapeutic class duplication (39.6%). Incorrect dosages were found in 73.6% of patients and under-dosage conflicts accounted for 59.9%, which was higher than over-dosage conflicts (38.3%). In this study, inappropriate drug prescriptions such as under-dose, pediatric contraindication and therapeutic duplication were prevalent in pediatric outpatient settings, suggesting much more awareness to the society, to prevent drug related problems in a vulnerable pediatric group.

  • Wireless sensor networks are useful to various unmanned monitoring application such as monitoring environments, surveillance system, unmanned space exploration, and so on. Due to the inappropriate placement of sensor nodes, there are some problems, for example, low connectivity and high overlapped sensing area. These problems can make it difficult for the data collection and lead to a waste of energy. In this paper, we propose a node relocating method to resolve the inappropriate placement of sensor nodes. Given monitoring area, we place sensor nodes randomly and find redundant nodes and move them to uncovered area. Through the simulation, We show that the proposed method is viable and efficient compared with the existing randomly locating method.

  • Offshore software development (OSD) is international business collaboration. OSD projects often encounter intercultural and inter-linguistic problems disturbing the projects. Business documents are formal media of information and knowledge for OSD. While OSD documents should convey common understanding of the OSD products, the documents may contain unsuitable expressions which draw misunderstanding of the required products and offensive issues for the collaboration. Intercultural and inter-linguistic differences cause mistakes and inappropriate expressions. OSD from Japan to China is the largest in Asia, and Japanese language is often used in OSD documents. Large similarity is found between Japanese and Chinese in their languages, while many differences exist even for the same word. The similarity induces to write unsuitable expressions for both sides of OSD. To introduce risks for OSD projects caused by unsuitable or inappropriate expressions in OSD documents, we propose to apply a proofreading system of Japanese documents for OSD. Japanese consignor uses the system to refine OSD documents written by Japanese engineers for Chinese readers, and Chinese consignee uses it to refine Japanese documents written by Chinese Engineers as derivatives of OSD projects. Effectiveness of applying the proofreading system is discussed for actual projects.

  • Shewhart X-chart, which is most widely used in practice, is shown to be inappropriate for the cases where the process distribution is one-sided asymmetrical, and thus some nonparametric Shewhart type charts are developed instead. These schemes may be applied usefully when there is not enough information in determining the process distribution. The average run lengths are obtained to compare the efficiency of control charts for various shifts of the location parameter and for some typical one-sided asymmetrical distributions.

  • Approximation of a Cartesian straight line motion with linear interpolation in the joint space has many desirable advantages and applications. But inappropriate determination of the corresponding subtravelling and transition times makes such joint-trajectories violate the input torque/force constraints. An approach that can overcome this difficult and yield the joint trajectories utilizing the allowable maximum input torque/force is established in this paper. The effectiveness of these results is demonstrated by using a three-joint revolute manipulator.

  • Internet, the heart of information network in information society, functions as a major communication tool, and the use of language through internet has become an unavoidable reality. In that context, this study builds a theoretical base on the use of language in internet, analyzes inappropriate use of language in internet in terms of 'sound', 'grammar', and 'meaning'; discusses, based on the findings, 'digital thinking', 'user transition', and 'netiquette and information education'.

  • General technique and management technology of agriculture have development in every year to ensure the competitiveness of agriculture. Accordingly, Interested in using information systems management technology is improving. For information system, the first system of rural buildings category should be established. Classification system is set up through each specific code. and it takes advantage of the information system is to achieve the computerization of agricultural society. Therefore, in this study construction information classification system, quantity of output category, got to the standard classification system architecture, apply to agricultural buildings to review the situation and saw a problem. The result, it is the complexity and broad scope, and it is set to inappropriate setting of the Category item.

  • Group key agreement protocols derive a shared secret key for a group of users to ensure data confidentiality or/and integrity among the users in the subsequent communications. In this paper, we inspect two group key agreement schemes which have been proposed by Shi et al. and Zheng et al. in 2005 and 2007 respectively. Although both schemes were claimed to be secure in a heuristic way, we reveal several flaws using the Bellare-Rogaway security model extended to multi-party setting by Bresson et al. These flaws are found to be originated from inappropriate selection of key derivation function, inadvertent exclusion of partners' identities from the protocol specification and insufficient consideration in preserving known temporary information security and key freshness properties. Furthermore, we suggest and discuss proper countermeasures to address such flaws.

  • The channel level difference (CLD) is a main parameter in the reference model 0 (RM0) for MPEG Surround. Nevertheless, the CLD quantization method in the RM0 has problems such as the lack of theoretical background and inappropriate quantization levels. In this letter, a new CLD quantization method is proposed based on the virtual source location information which has strength in the quantization process. From experimental results, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme greatly reduces the quantization distortions measured in dB and degrees without any additional complexity.
