In teleost, vitellogenin (Vtg) is synthesised in the liver in response to estrogens and transported by the blood to the growing oocytes where it is incorporated by micropincytosis (Selman and Wallace, 1982). Generally, Vtg is not induced in normal male fish but male fish are capable of synthesis Vtg in reponse to exogenous estrogen and xenoestrogens. (omitted)

In this paper we model the liquid crystal director field in the Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA) LC using the fast Q-tensor method, which can model multidimensional director configurations with defects in the liquid crystal director field. We observed the dynamic behaviors of the defect experimentally by applying the voltage and modeled the LC director field with defect in the active area of the PVA cell. As a result, we could also calculate the optical transmittance.

Objectives : This study investigated the clinical effect of a drinking habit in acute stroke patients. Methods : 409 acute stroke patients were included from October 2005 to October 2006. Patients were hospitalized within 14 days after the onset of stroke at DongGuk University International Hospital, Kyungwon University In-cheon Oriental Medical Hospital, or Department of Cardiovascular and Neurologic Diseases (Stroke Center), Kyung Hee University Oriental Hospital. We investigated general characteristics, drinking habit, and stroke subtype by TOAST classification. Results : Among drinking subjects, hemorrhagic stroke was more frequent than ischemic stroke (odds ratio 3.04), and less in small vessel occlusion than others (odds ratio 1.84). Ischemic stroke was associated with a longer (30 yrs) drinking habit than hemorrhagic stroke. Conclusions : To acquire more concrete conclusions on this theme, we need further and larger scale research.

The purpose of this research is to survey resident's perceptions on the development of ecotourism village and to provide basic data far ecotourism vitalization. This research has been carried out four villages at Seogwipo city in Jeju province. A survey was implemented to investigate the resident's perceptions toward ecotourism development. To speak the results of resident's cognition, First, the existing condition on the development of ecotourism village are ranked in the order of Bomok Dong, Beobhwan Dong, Topyong Dong, Kangjung Dong. Second, the necessity of development for ecotourism village are ranked in the order of Bomok Dong, Topyong Dong, Kangjung Dong and Beobhwan Dong. Third, ecological residential style are most needed Bomok Dong, and equilibrium of ecosystem are most needed Bomok Dong.

The biological effects of NADPH-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDPc) inhibitor, DA-11004, was investigated in obese diabetic (ob/ ob) mice. DA-11004, metformin, and oxalomalate were daily injected (ip) for 8 weeks and after completing an 8-week period of experiment, mice were sacrificed at 1 hr after the last drugs treatment to collect their blood, liver, and adipose tissues(epididymal and retroperitoneal fat). "Dong Ui Bo Gam" was written by Huh jun that was influenced by Cho Sun Sung Confucianism's environment had been receptive to rich idea. "Dong Ui Bo Gam" "Shin Hyung Mun" was composed of the base on a full understanding in taoist idea. It had a real systemical structure, was help to taoist training. The taoist idea of "Dong Ui Bo Gam" was made up of the extension of mature theory and training in Cho Sun Dan Hak. Specially, The taoist idea of "Dong Ui Bo Gam" was had an effect on "Euibangyoochui" better as compared with "Dong Ui Bo Gam" "Shin Hyung Mun" in contents "Shin Hyung Jang Bu DO" generalized the whole contents of "Dong Ui Bo Gam", was influenced by taoist idea, also peculiar method that was not searched in other medical books. 'Heart 心' was handled importantally in "Dong Ui Bo Gam" "Shin Hyung Mun" under the influence of taoist idea and Cho Sun Sung Confucianism.

Objective : The main purpose of this research is to make a survey of the effective way of the Korean traditional medical care about Traffic accidental patients. Methods : In following research, 27 patients of Traffic accident and 33 patients of Non-Traffic accident to be diagnosied as Lumbar spine Sprain who hospitalized in the Dong-shin Korean Traditional Medicine Hospital from January 1, 2003 to November 31, 2003 were surveyed. Result : 1. In distribution of sex and age, the female ratio was higher and twenties was the most distribution of age in Traffic accidental patients, the male ratio was higher and tirties was the most distribution of age in Non-Traffic accidental patients. 2. the number of patients via other hospital was much than that of the first visitor to our hospital in Traffic accidental patients, but the case of Non-Traffic accidental patients was contray results. 3. In medical Treatment, acupunture theraphy(100.0%), negative theraphy(100.0%), moxibustion theraphy(74.07%) et. was used in Traffic accidental patients, acupunture theraphy(100.0%), negative theraphy(100.0%), moxibust ion theraphy(84.84%), herbal acupunture theraphy(54.54%) et. was used in Non-Traffic accidental patients.

A high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination of DA-6034 in biological fluids using fluorescence detector. The method involved deproteinization of biological sample with the same volume of acetonitrile, 0.2M zinc sulphate. and 0.15M barium hydroxide. The aliquot of supernatant was injected onto Nova-pak C18 column and detected by fluorescence detector. Emission and excitation wavelength of detector were 336nm and 440nm. (omitted)

Sam Dong Co., Ltd. has been succeeded in producing a 1 km multi-filament conductor in 2018. So far, we become more widespread to fabricate a variety of customized multi-filament wires such as 6 + '1' Cu, 18 + '1' Cu, and 36 + '1' Cu. In this work, we discuss the research progress on various MgB₂ wires over the past three years. We also provide a brief review for applications with our wires.
