  • To perform the navigation functions more efficiently, the navigation menu structure should be provided easy to understand to the driver in the vehicle environment that is restricted by driving workload, According to these conditions, to design better navigation interface, it is important to study on the navigation menu structure that is depend on the screen size and the information width and depth. Therefore, in this study we provided the different menu structures of 7-inch touchscreen LCD and 4-inch touchscreen LCD to the driver respectively in the driving simulator. Then, we compared the preference of each menu structures with the different touchscreen LCD.

  • The noise emitted during train operation is generated with various reasons. It is known that the major noise generation is classified according to the ranges of train speed; that is, engine noise at lower speed range, rolling noise at medium speed range, and air-borne noise at higher speed range. These noises are transmitted in combined form with the noises generated from track components and under-carriage, etc. The rolling noise as a major noise at medium speed range is caused by the vibration occurred at wheel/rail interface. The vibration occurred at wheel/rail interface is transmitted to wheel and rail, and this vibration is emitted from wheel and rail as a noise. The object of this study is to investigate the effect of wheel damper of low noise wheel. In this study theoretical and experimental analysis is performed by numerical model calculations and impact test.

  • In this paper, for supporting more variable services than typical DSRC, brand call service, truck and an official vehicle services, etc. using location information and mobile communication network could be adapted. emergence helping information providing, multimedia service that are wireless internet, movies and games, are increasingly needed for competible wireless car mobile terminal. Those needs would make a development a wireless telemetries system based on WiBro interface in ubiquitous vehicle environment. We analysis the proposed telematics mobile terminal using simulation which is concerned about fixed bandwidth and dynamic bandwidth.

  • The PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) system has been being researched and examined to efficiently provide high quality services to passengers against the traffic congestion of the capital region. With concept that PRT differentiated from GRT(Group Rapid Transit), PRT generally is a tracked vehicle system operating with unmanned. The embedded software of PRT Automated Control system generally is comprised of the central software, stations software and vehicle software. The controllers of these software interface to each other using its RF communication antennas. In this paper, each embedded software of the PRT system should be applied to an incremental and systematic test approach technique in the design and implementation phase, because the reliability and safety of the PRT system should be assured

  • This study examines environmental performance of the arcing measurement module according to international standards. The module assesses the collected current performance using a computer system. The module is required to assess environmental impact resulting from electromagnetic waves, shock and temperature change during train operation. The test includes testing EMI/EMC, vibration, shock and temperature cycling for interface between trains and the arcing measurement module. The module test items were determined in compliance with the standards suggested by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and Europaische Norm (EN). This study describes the method of test, test equipment operation and how to choose relevant performance standards. The analysis and test results of environmental performance for the module based on computer system are described in this study.

  • To comply to demand for a development requirement of aircraft design part, the expert system builds up standard knowledge-base based on presently maintained expert knowledge and experience in aircraft structure material selection. It also builds up database based on aircraft design open data, and standard calculation module used for present design and analysis method. This system is developed using Visual Basic language. The expert system standardize aircraft structure material selection and can be applied to all type of elementary stage of aircraft structure design. It is working on Windows, which has a friendly interface and is convenient for debugging, maintenance and transplanting. Explanation of the structure and the function of the system was given in this paper.

  • In this research, we present a path planning method for an autonomous flight of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) through reinforcement learning under simulated environment. We design the simulator for reinforcement learning of uav. Also we implement interface for compatibility of Deep Q-Network(DQN) and simulator. In this paper, we perform reinforcement learning through the simulator and DQN, and use Q-learning algorithm, which is a kind of reinforcement learning algorithms. Through experimentation, we verify performance of DQN-simulator. Finally, we evaluated the learning results and suggest path planning strategy using reinforcement learning.

  • Along with the strengthening vehicle environmental regulations and the growing needs for the energy consumption reduction technology, the researches on the engine idle stop system, have been briskly carried out around the automobile manufacturers before the development of alternative energy. Furthermore, there is a movement to disseminate the environment friendly idle stop system by combining the system to the generalized smart key system to not only increase purchasing but also provide the convenience and save the energy as well. In this paper, we designed and implemented the idle stop system algorithm for the aftermarket smart key system with the OBD-II interface. The implemented start stop system is capable of controlling two independent systems, the smart key system and intelligent idle stop system, on a single ECU. In addition, the implemented start stop system standardizes the communication interface with the vehicles to reduce the time required for installing the start stop system to the various vehicles, and satisfies every standard response time limit for the vehicle status request signals.
