  • Better understanding of in-situ mechanical behavior of pavement foundations is very important to predict long-term effects on the system performance of transport infrastructure. In order to do that, resilient stiffness characterization of geomaterals is needed to properly adopt such mechanistic analysis under both traffic and environmental loadings. In this paper, in situ monitoring data from KHC test road was used to analyze the non-linearity of stress conditions under traffic and moisture loadings. Then, the predicted non-linear response using finite element method with a selected constitutive model of foundation geomaterials are verified with the field data.

우리나라 수도근권에서 분리된 Azospirillum spp.의 특성 (Characterization of Azospirillum spp. Isolated from Korean Paddy Roots)

  • 영남작물시험장에서 질소비료 공급없이 재배합 40종의 수도품종으로부터 출수기전의 수도근권의 질소고정력을 in situacetylene 환원력 측정방법으로 시험한 결과 Azospirillum 균의 무질소 malate 배지에서 얻은 균주와 상관관계를 보였다. 이 중 질소고정력이 높은 6종의 Azospirillum을 분리 동정한 결고 5종은 A. lipoferum, 1종은 A. brasilense임을 확인한 후 이들 6종의 Azospirillum들의 당이용성, biotin 요구성, 항생제저항성, auxin 생산성, plasmid profile 및 균체단백질 pattern을 비교 분석하였다.

  • 심지층처분장 공학적방벽의 성능 보장은 장기처분안전성 측면에서 뿐만 아니라 심지층처분장의 효율적인 설계를 위해서도 매우 중요하다. 따라서 지하실험시설에서 수행되는 현장실험들을 통해 심지층처분장 조건 하에서의 공학적방벽 성능을 입증할 필요가 있다. 이 논문에서는 심지층처분장 공학적방벽의 성능을 실증하기 위해, 지난 수십 년 동안 전 세계에서 수행되어온 주요 현장실험의 현황과 그 결과에 대해 검토하였다. 먼저 심지층처분장의 폐쇄 후 성능을 모사하는 공학적방벽시스템의 열-수리-역학적 복합거동을 규명하기 위한 현장실험들이 분석되었다. 아울러 실제 심지층처분장의 환경에서 완충재의 성능을 조사하기 위한 현장실험들이 검토되었다. 완충재-콘크리트 상호반응, 완충재, 뒷채움재 및 플러그의 설치, 그리고 근계암반 특성과 처분용기 재질의 부식 현상을 규명하기 위한 현장실험들의 기술현황도 분석되었다.

Preparation and Characterization of Pore-filled Membrane Based on Polypropylene with Poly(vinylbenzyl chloride) by Using in-situ Cross-linking Technique

  • Water softening is a very promising field for membranes and especially ultra low pressure membranes. Nanofiltration membranes based on pore-filling technology was prepared by using a new technique: the in-situ cross-linking. This route involves introducing a pre-formed polymer into the pores of a host membrane and then locking the polymer in the pores by in-situ cross-linking with an appropriate reagent. By this way, it is possible to make robust and competitive, pore-filled, anion-exchange membranes with excellent control over the properties of the incorporated gel without affecting the host membrane. In this paper, the possibilities of tuning such membranes for ultra low pressure water softening was examined by altering pore-filling chemistry (by changing cross-linking and aminating reagents). The results showed that tuning the chemistry of the pore-filling has important effects. In particularly, it had been shown that the correct selection of cross-linking reagent was not only essential to get pore-filled membranes but it could control their properties. Moreover, the aminating reagent could improve membrane performance. It was found that an increase in hydrophobicity could improve the Darcy permeability.

In-situ 환원/소결법을 이용한 다공성 니켈 멤브레인 가스필터의 제조 및 평가 (Fabrication and Characterization of Porous Nickel Membrane for High Precision Gas Filter by In-situ Reduction/Sintering Process)

  • Disk type porous nickel membrane was fabricated by in-situ reduction/sintering process using compacted NiO/PMMA (PMMA; Polymethyl methacrylate) mixture at $800^{\circ}C$ in hydrogen atmosphere. The porosity (49$\sim$58%) of these membrane was investigated as an amount of PMMA additive. The thermal decomposition and reduction behavior of NiO/PMMA were analyzed by TG/DTA in hydrogen atmosphere and the activation energy for the hydrogen reduction of NiO and thermal degradation of PMMA was calculated as 61.1 kJ/mol, evaluated by Kissinger method. Finally, the filtering performance and pressure drop were measured by particle counting system.

  • A copper matrix composite reinforced by turbulent in-situ $TiB_2$ nanoparticle was Prepared by reactions of boron ana titanium. The microstructure, mechanical and electrical properties of the as-drawn composites were investigated. The results showed that the formed $TiB_2$ particles, which had a size of about from 50 to 200nm, exhibited a homogeneous dispersion in the copper matrix. Due to their reinforcement, the hardness and Young's modulus of $Cu-TiB_2$ composites were enhanced with increasing the cooling rate. Moreover, the electrical conductivity of the composites were improved with increasing the cooling rate.

Characterization of in-situ Synthesized CdSxSe1-x Ternary Alloy Nanowire Photosensor

  • CdSxSe1-x ternary alloy nanowires (x = 0, 0.5, 1.0) were fabricated by in-situ synthesis on interdigitated electrode. Morphology analysis of the alloy nanowires according to the synthesis zone and composition analysis of the nanowires were carried out by SEM and EDX. The crystal structures of the alloy nanowires were studied by XRD analysis. The I-V characteristics of the nanowire photosensors were analyzed according to the intensity of incident light. The influence of zonal synthesis position on the photosensor response to the wavelength of incident light was also analyzed, and was found to be related to the bandgap of alloy nanowires. The analysis results indicate that photosensors with a specific photoresponse could be selected based on the composition of the source materials of nanowires as well as by controlling the in-situ synthesis zone.

사용후핵연료 최종처분장 건설과정에서의 굴착손상영역(EDZ)의 현장평가 방법 및 시공품질관리 체계에 관한 사례검토 (A Review of In-Situ Characterization and Quality Control of EDZ During Construction of Final Disposal Facility for Spent Nuclear Fuel)

  • 사용후핵연료 최종처분장 건설 과정에서 발생하는 굴착손상영역(EDZ)은 처분시설의 역학적 안정성 및 처분공 간격 설정 등의 설계요소로서 고려해야 할 뿐만 아니라 영역 내 투수특성은 폐쇄 후 지하수 유입량 변화에 따른 처분용기 부식 속도 및 핵종유출 등에도 막대한 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서, 처분시설 및 관련 지하연구시설(URL)의 건설과정에서는 EDZ의 발생양상을 현장에서 정확하게 파악하고 미리 규정된 요건을 만족할 수 있도록 철저하게 관리할 수 있어야 한다. 이 논문에서는 핀란드 온칼로 시설에서의 EDZ 관련 연구사례를 검토하고 처분시설 굴착과정에서의 EDZ의 현장평가방법 및 시공품질관리 체계에 대해 검토하였다. EDZ 현장 평가를 위해서는 굴찰 갱도 주변의 교란을 유발하는 시추공 굴착이 불필요한 GPR 탐사가 가장 적합함과 온칼로 처분시설의 EDZ는 바닥부에서 두드러지게 발생하여 0~70 cm의 두께로 발생함을 확인하였다. 이들 결과는 국내 처분환경에 적합한 EDZ 관련 규제요건 개발에 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

화학적 합성에 의해 제조된 직접 메탄올 연료전지용 나피온/백금/폴리피롤 복합 막의 특성 분석 (Characterization of Nafion/Pt/Polypyrrole Composite Membrane Prepared by Chemical In-situ Polymerization for DMFC)

  • Nafion/Pt/Polypyrrole composite membranes were fabricated by chemical in-situ polymerization of pyrrole monomers with Pt precursors in Nafion matrix for DMFC. We demonstrated that positively charged pyrrolinum groups of polypyrrole particles were co-interacted with sulfonic groups of Nafion as verified by FT-IR results. Mutual interaction between $Nafion-SO_3^-$ (or negatively charged Pt precursors) and Polypyrrole$-NH_2^+$ influenced the physical properties of pristine Nafion. Thermal property proton conductivity, methanol permeability, and cell performance of pristine and modified Nafion were analyzed for an application of DMFC membrane. Thermal stabilities of sulfonic groups and side chains in Nafion/Pt/polypyrrole composite membranes were higher than those of Nafion due to mutual interaction between sulfonic groups of Nafion and pyrrolinum groups of polypyrrole. Methanol permeabilities of Nafion/Pt/Polypyrrole composite were reduced more proton conductivities with the increase in the content of Pt particles. As a result of that, the enhancement of cell performance by Nafion/Pt/Polypyrole O2 relative to Nafion was more pronounced under the specific experimental condition such as high temperature and more concentrated methanol solution.
