Magnetorheological damper has received significant attention in recent years due to the reason that it can offer adaptability of active control devices without requiring the associated large power sources. In this paper, performance tests on a MR damper are carried out under different currents, excitation amplitudes and frequencies, the damping characteristics and energy dissipation capacity of the MR damper are analyzed. Elasto-plastic dynamic analysis on a space frame structure incorporated with MR dampers is conducted, and numerical analysis results show that MR dampers can significantly mitigate the structural vibration responses. Finally, the genetic algorithm with the improved binary crossover and mutation technique is adopted to optimize the arrangement of MR dampers. Numerical results show that dynamic responses of the optimal controlled structure are mitigated more effectively.
An experimental study on the chromatographic separation of maltopentaose from a mixture, including glucose, maltose, maltotriose, and maltopentaose, was carried out in a nonionic polymeric sorbent column while varying the operating conditions, such as the solution pH, buffer contents, and isopropyl alcohol (1PA) concentration. Unlike the pH and buffer contents, the IPA concentration had a Significant impact on the single component chromatograms for maltopentaose. The retention times of the maltooligosaccharides with the nonionic polymeric sorbent Sp207 were in the following order: glucose < maltose < maltotriose < maltopentaose. From the experimental binary, ternary, and quaternary chromatograms, gradient chromatographic separation with a changing IPA concentration as a function of time was required to obtain high-purity maltopentaose and reduce the elution time.

Fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) of photovoltaic (PV) power systems is one of significant techniques for reducing economic loss due to abnormality occurred in PV modules. This paper presents a new FDD method against PV power systems by using statistical comparison. This comparative approach includes deviation signals between the outputs of two neighboring PV modules. We first define a binary hypothesis testing under such deviation and make use of a generalized likelihood ratio testing (GLRT) theory to derive its FDD algorithm. Additionally, a recursive computational mechanism for our proposed FDD algorithm is presented for improving a computational effectiveness in practice. We carry out a real-time experiment to test reliability of the proposed FDD algorithm by utilizing a lab based PV test-bed system.

In this paper, BLC adder/subtractor and MTG adder which can be used as a fundamental operation block in VLSI processors are designed, and their structural and electrical characteristics are analyzed and compared. Also, two circuits are fabricated usign 2\ulcorner CMOS process and their time delays for critical paths are measured. For 8 bit binary addition, the measured critical delays for MSB sum of the BLC adder/subtractor are 26 nsec for rising delay and 32nsec for falling. Those for MSB carry out of the MTG adder are 28nsed and 38nsec, respectively. The BLC adder/subtractor has a layout area which is 4 times larger than the MTG adder, and a fast operation speed. On the contrary, the MTG adder has a small layout area and a large time delay.
Dielectric relaxation measurements on 3-nitrotoluene (3-NT) mixture of dimethylacetamide (DMA), dimethylformamide (DMF) and dimethysulphoxide (DMSO) have been carried out across the entire concentration range using Time domain reflectometry technique at 15, 25, 35 and $45^{\circ}C$ over the frequency range from 10 MHz to 20 GHz. For all the mixtures, only one dielectric loss peak was observed in this frequency range and the relaxation in these mixtures can be well described by a single relaxation time using Debye model. Bilinear calibration method is used to obtain complex permittivity ${\varepsilon}^{*}({\omega})$ from complex reflection coefficient ${\rho}^{*}({\omega})$ over frequency range 10 MHz to 20 GHz. The excess permittivity, excess inverse relaxation time, Kirkwood correlation factor, molar energy of activation are also calculated for these mixtures to study the solute-solvent interaction.

Detection and classification of undersea mines in shallow waters using active sonar returns is a difficult task due to complexity of underwater environment. Support vector machine(SVM) is a binary classifier that is well known to provide a global optimum solution. In this paper, classification experiments of sonar returns from mine-like objects and non-mine-like objects are carried out using the SVM, and classification performance is analyzed and presented with discussions depending on parameter values of SVM kernel functions.
In this paper discusses isolation driver of single phase AC-DC reversible power converter The reversible power converter driven by binary combination at different transformer winding ratio by BCD code level. It has a advantage that constructs a control system simply and obtain load current of good quality with out filter circuit and free from noise or isolation for lower switching frequency. In this research, study on current type converter and inverter circuit that consist for possibility of AC-DC/BC-AC multi-level reversible converter.
Recently, it is one of very interest technology of Human Computer Interaction(HCI). Nowadays, it is easy to find out that, for example, inside SF movies people has talking to computer. However, there are difference between CPU language and ours. So, we focus on connecting to CPU. For 30 years many scientists experienced in that technology. But it is really difficult. Our project goal is making that CPU could understand human voice. First of all the signal through a voice sensor will move to BCD (binary code). That elevator helps out people who wants to move up and down. This product's point is related with people's safety. Using a PWM for motor control by ATmega16, we choose a DC motor to drive it because of making a regular speed elevator. Furthermore, using a voice identification module the elevator driven by voice sensor could operate well up and down perfectly from 1st to 10th floor by PWM control with ATmega16. And, it will be clearly useful for high-rise vertical shift with voice recognition sensor driven.
An efficient transformation system was established for Ailanthus altissima utilizing the binary system of A. tumefaciens strain LBA4404. Callus was initiated from small portions of cambium tissue of A. altissima in vitro. Optimum regeneration was achieved with Murashige and Skoog(MS) medium containing 0.01mg/${\ell}$ 2, 4-D, 0.5mg/${\ell}$ BAP, 3%(w/v) sucrose and 0.75% agar. The multiplication of explants remarkably showed up on medium containing 1.0mg/${\ell}$ BAP. Leaf discs or internodal stem segments were inoculated with A. tumefaciens strain LBA 4404 containing the binary vector pPMB 101, which has both ${\beta}$-glucuronidase (GUS) marker gene and neomycin phosphotransferase II (NPT II) gene. Shoots had been regenerated from 24 lines out of inoculative 50 lines. Transformants were selected by their ability to grow on medium containing kanamycin sulphate (100mg/${\ell}$). Putative transformation was confirmed by GUS assays. Five GUS-positive plantlets were obtained which confirmed that this marker gene has been transferred into A. altissima.
Observations of times of minimum lights of the eclipsing binary V65l Cas were carried out on the three nights from November 21-23, 2000. From our observations a total of seven new times of minimum lights was obtained. Through the analysis of photoelectric and CCD times of minima of V65l Cas including ours, the light time orbit due to a third body, which was propose by Kim & Lee (2000), was confirmed and improved. The resultant values for the period, semi-amplitude, and eccentricity of the light-time orbit were $6.^{y}3,\;0.^{d}0013$, and 0.78, respectively. The deduced marts range of the third body is . If the third body is $0.09M_{\odot}\;{\leq}\;M_3\;{\leq}\;0.20M_{\odot}\;for\;i_3\;{\geq}\;30^{\circ}$. If the third body suggested in V65l Cas system exists really and is a main-sequence star, it is located at the end of the main-sequence.
