  • In order to use BIM as a tool for improving the productivity and quality of products in the construction industry, a BIM model must be created from the design stage first. Infrastructure structures such as bridges and tunnels are mainly created based on three-dimensional alignment in the generation of BIM models. Especially, generation of BIM models based on three-dimensional linearity has high task difficulty and algorithms for automating BIM modeling for railway infra structures have been suggested in previous studies. This study improved the BIM modeling automation algorithm of railway infrastructures and developed a system based on the algorithm so that it can be easily used by ordinary users. The system was built as an add-in system of Autodesk's Revit. As an improvement first, it is possible to arrange different libraries for each pattern, enabling various uses. In addition, it can be created models of several members with a single process and the system can automatically places structures that are added periodically, such as Rock Bolt and Fore Polling. Finally, 3D length information and volume for each pattern are automatically calculated for more accurate 3D-based volume calculation. This study contributes to increasing user accessibility by building a BIM modeling automation algorithm into a system. The system is expected to improve the efficiency of BIM modeling creation of linear-based infra structures, including railway infrastructure.

  • In this paper, we propose BRAIDS, a boot storm mitigation plan consisting of an AI-based VDI usage prediction system and a virtual machine boot scheduler system, to alleviate boot storms and improve service stability. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is an important technology for improving an organization's work productivity and increasing IT infrastructure efficiency. Boot storms that occur when multiple virtual desktops boot simultaneously cause poor performance and increased latency. Using the xgboost algorithm, existing VDI usage data is used to predict future VDI usage. In addition, it receives the predicted usage as input, defines a boot storm considering the hardware specifications of the VDI server and virtual machine, and provides a schedule to sequentially boot virtual machines to alleviate boot storms. Through the case study, the VDI usage prediction model showed high prediction accuracy and performance improvement, and it was confirmed that the boot storm phenomenon in the virtual desktop environment can be alleviated and IT infrastructure can be utilized efficiently through the virtual machine boot scheduler.

  • In the past, antibiotics and antimicrobial substances have been used for the purpose of promoting the growth of livestock or treating livestock, but various problems such as the presence of livestock products or resistant bacteria have emerged. Recently, regulations on the use of antibiotics have been strengthened worldwide, and probiotics are attracting attention as an alternative. Probiotic microorganisms have already been used for human use, such as intestinal abnormal fermentation, diarrhea, and indigestion. In livestock, beneficial microorganisms are increasing in use for the purpose of improving productivity, such as promoting livestock development and preventing diarrhea. Therefore, it is advisable to understand livestock probiotics in deeper and think about effective uses. The role of probiotics in the livestock sector is made with microorganisms themselves, so it is a substance that promotes livestock growth and improves feed efficiency by settling in the intestines of livestock, suppressing the growth of other harmful microorganisms, helping digestion and absorption of ingested feed, and helping to synthesize other nutrients. There is a need for a probiotic that suppresses intestinal bacteria by supplying probiotics used as a means to minimize the effects of stress in livestock management, thereby suppressing disease outbreaks by maintaining beneficial microorganisms and suppressing pathogenic microorganisms. The purpose of this paper is to develop a brand of feed additive probiotics to improve health conditions due to increased feed intake, improve the efficiency of use of feed nutrients, inhibit the decomposition and production of toxic substances, increase immunity, reduce odor in livestock, and improve the environment. We investigated and analyzed feed additive probiotics already on the market, and developed the naming and logo of suitable feed additive probiotic brands in livestock. We hoped that the newly developed product will be used in the field and help solve problems in the livestock field.

  • A balanced intestinal microbiome controls intestinal bacterial diseases, helps regulate immunity, and digests and utilizes nutrients, ultimately having a positive effect on the productivity of industrial animals. Yeasts help in the digestion process by breaking down indigestible fibers and producing organic acids, vitamins, and minerals. In particular, polysaccharides such as beta-glucan and mannan-oligosaccharides, which are present in the cell wall of yeast, inhibit the adhesion of pathogens to the surface of the gastrointestinal tract and increase resistance to disease to help maintain and improve intestinal health. Among the yeast additives used in animal feed, Saccharomyces cerevisiae is one of the most commonly used probiotics. However, it does not naturally reside in the intestine, so if it is supplied in combination with other species of probiotics that can compensate for it, many benefits and synergies can be expected for pigs in terms of maintaining intestinal health such as supplementing the immune system and improving digestion. A number of previous studies have demonstrated that dietary complex probiotic supplementation has growth-promoting effects in pigs, suggesting that multiple strains of probiotics may be more effective than single strain probiotics due to their additive and synergistic effects. In practice, however, the effects of complex probiotics are not always consistent, and can be influenced by a variety of factors. Therefore, this review comprehensively examines and discusses the literature related to the effects of complex probiotics using Saccharomyces cerevisiae in pig production.

  • Collaborative programs are tools designed to support multiple people working together, enhancing collaboration and communication efficiency, improving productivity, and overcoming the constraints of time and place. In the endemic era, many companies and individuals prefer using collaborative programs. These programs often handle sensitive information, such as work content, documents, and user data, which can cause significant damage if leaked. Exploiting this, various attack scenarios have emerged, including malware attacks disguised as collaborative programs, exploiting vulnerabilities within these programs, and stealing internal tokens. To prevent such attacks, it is essential to analyze and respond to potential threats proactively. This paper focuses on Notion, a widely used collaborative program, to collect and analyze artifacts related to user information and activities in both PC and Android environments. Based on the collected data, we categorize critical information, discuss potential threats, and propose countermeasures.

  • As problems such as water pollution and fish species depletion have become serious, a land-based fish farming is receiving a great attention for ensuring stable productivity. In the fish farming, it is important to determine the timing of shipments, as one of key factors to increase net profit on the aquaculture. In this paper, we propose a system for predicting net profit to support decision of timing of shipment using fish farming-related statistical data. The prediction system consists of growth and farm-gate price prediction models, a cost statistics table, and a net profit estimation algorithm. The Gaussian process regression (GPR) model is exploited for weight prediction based on the analysis that represents the characteristics of the weight data of cultured fish under the assumption of Gaussian probability processes. Moreover, the long short-term memory (LSTM) model is applied considering the simple time series characteristics of the farm-gate price data. In the case of GPR model, it allows to cope with data missing problem of the weight data collected from the fish farm in the time and temperature domains. To solve the problem that the data acquired from the fish farm is aperiodic and small in amount, we generate the corresponding data by adopting a data augmentation method based on the Gaussian model. Finally, the estimation method for net profit is proposed by concatenating weight, price, and cost predictions. The performance of the proposed system is analyzed by applying the system to the Korean flounder data.

  • Effective pest control in the agricultural field is essential for improving crop productivity. To do so, information on the type and timing of pests, as well as the amount of pests generated, is required. Mada-CenterNet, a prior study on pest counting, which is a method of identifying the amount of pest occurrence, has improved the accuracy of pest counting by utilizing transformable convolution and multiscale attention fusion and is reported to be the best in the field. In this study, a new transformer structure with a dual block was applied instead of multiscale attention, which is the transformer structure of Mada-CenterNet. More sophisticated feature maps were extracted through cross-attention of pixel path and semantic path. As a result of the experiment, the proposed model has improved the accuracy of pest counting. It is better than the existing Mada-CenterNet and effectively alleviates obstruction problems, damage to pests' bodies, and detection difficulties caused by various appearances. Unlike conventional pest counting methods, it can secure the advantage of reducing manpower and time costs, and it is expected that it can be used in other agricultural fields that require counting of objects.

  • Enormous amount of oyster-shell waste has been illegally disposed at oyster farm sites along the southern coast of Korea and then made a serious problem in environmental side. To increase the consumption of oyster shell meal as a soil amendment, the effects of oyster shell meal on soil properties and spring Chinese cabbage productivity were evaluated in silt loam soil to which 0, 4, 8, 12 and $16Mg\;ha^{-1}$ of oyster-shell meal fertilizer were added. Hydrated lime treatment ($2Mg\;ha^{-1}$) was selected as a control. Oyster-shell meal fertilizer, which made by a simple crushing and has high alkalinity as a calcium materials, had significant effects on neutralizing acid soil and on supplying calcium element. Spring Chinese cabbage yields increased with shell meal application. Plant uptakes of macro-nutrients such as P and C, and micro-nutrient such as B were significantly increased by oyster-shell meal application and then contributed to promote Chinese cabbage growth. The highest yield was achieved following the addition of $8Mg\;ha^{-1}$ shell meal application, and the same yield with that in lime treatment was at the $4Mg\;ha^{-1}$. Oyster-shell meal had more substantial effect on suppling calcium and on improving soil pH than that of lime. In conclusion, oyster shell meal fertilizer could be a good supplement to other inorganic soil amendments to improve nutrient balances in upland soils.

  • Conventionally, many pig producers have utilized a continual sow managements system that the matings, farrowings and weanings are done weekly basis. But this transitional method is not able to cut the cycle of diseases and fully apply all-in/all-out system because of the continuous flow of sows and pigs. Conventional weekly management system is currently limiting in small farm to work efficiently both for workers and pigs. Therefore, pig producers have found novel management methods for applying all-in/all-out system, improving pig health, leading to better growth, lowering mortality and reducing medication costs nowadays. Moreover, all-in/all-out pig management system has known as a strategy for improving productivity in swine farm. The batch system is one of the best management methods to adopt all-in/all-out pig management system that prevent spreading diseases in pig and remove cycle of diseases. Batch farrowing system is a concept for providing a group of sows that delivery within a specific farrowing interval and inducing a large enough scale of piglets to fill the weaner facilities. There are different types of batch farrowing system with batch size and interval of farrowing when several factors at the swine farm are considered such as total number of sows, available facilities in the farm, and the efficiency of workforce. Sow managements such as farrowing, weaning and breeding, every 3 weeks rather than weekly, 2 or 5-week interval have advantages for workers and reproductive cycle of sows as well as pig flow. Because there are several pros and cons both in weekly and batch management system, various factors should be considered to apply the most suitable management system in each individual farm. To improve poor swine productivity in Korea compared to ED, batch system for sows will be an alternative choice which is able to prevent high incidence of diseases in swine farm such as PMWS, PRRS, PRDC and PED because all-in/all-out pig management can be also applied automatically by using this management system.
