Tradeoff between Energy-Efficiency and Spectral-Efficiency by Cooperative Rate Splitting

  • The trend of an increasing demand for a high-quality user experience, coupled with a shortage of radio resources, has necessitated more advanced wireless techniques to cooperatively achieve the required quality-of-experience enhancement. In this study, we investigate the critical problem of rate splitting in heterogeneous cellular networks, where concurrent transmission, for instance, the coordinated multipoint transmission and reception of LTE-A systems, shows promise for improvement of network-wide capacity and the user experience. Unlike most current studies, which only deal with spectral efficiency enhancement, we implement an optimal rate splitting strategy to improve both spectral efficiency and energy efficiency by exploring and exploiting cooperation diversity. First, we introduce the motivation for our proposed algorithm, and then employ the typical cooperative bargaining game to formulate the problem. Next, we derive the best response function by analyzing the dual problem of the defined primal problem. The existence and uniqueness of the proposed cooperative bargaining equilibrium are proved, and more importantly, a distributed algorithm is designed to approach the optimal unique solution under mild conditions. Finally, numerical results show a performance improvement for our proposed distributed cooperative rate splitting algorithm.

We analyze the combat development element such as doctrine, organization, and training which is working in the United States of America. then we apply the ideas to our proposal for the improvement of doctrine, organization, and training for weapon systems. This paper will be contributed to the improvement of doctrine, organization, and training and the efficiency of defense acquisition program management.

  • The governance structure of corporate is very important to raise the nation's economic efficiency and the operation result of firm. However, the innovation of corporate governance structure is a important problem to improve international confidence in our country, since most large corporate in our country has a promodern governance structure to be influenced in decision making of corporate group by minority governance-shareholder. Therefore, in our country the improvement of corporate governance structure is very urgent. This study examine the improvement device of corporate governance structure to be introduced in our country, and present the improvement direction to be suitable to our country's economic circumstance.

  • Increased fossil fuel consumption causes global warming, environmental pollution, and abnormal climate change. Wind-generated power installation is proposed to solve this problem. Recently, the wind power plant construction case encourages the installation of the energy storage system (ESS) to improve the intermittency of wind power. The maximized ESS operation profits connected to wind power are not generated in the simplest operation pattern of charging at night and discharging at day. The battery charging efficiency improvement should be considered to get more profits. Thus, there is a possibility of increasing ESS operation profits by analyzing the battery AC and DC charging/discharging efficiency and the yearly average sealed maintenance free (SMP) in hours. In this paper, the battery impedance characteristic, AC and DC charging/discharging efficiency, and the yearly average SMP are analyzed. The operation scenario to improve the ESS battery charging efficiency connected to wind power is proposed and verified via simulation.

DGS 결합선로를 이용하여 고조파 억압특성을 향상시킨 전력증폭기의 효율증대에 관한 연구 (A study on efficiency improvement of power amplifier from enhanced harmonic suppression using DGS coupled line)

  • 본 연구는 DGS 결합 구조를 이용하여 고조파 억압 특성을 향상시키기 위하여 전력증폭기의 효율을 높이기 위한 방법을 제안하였다. 고조파 성분과 연관된 효율성은 전력 증폭기를 설계하는데 있어서의 중요한 요인 중의 하나이다. 그러므로 주기적인 슬릿이나 스터브를 갖는 DGS 전송선로를 전력 증폭기의 후단에 먼저 설계하고 결합함으로써 고조파의 효과적인 억압 특성을 가지며 효율을 높힐 수 있게 됨을 알 수가 있었다. 따라서 보 연구에서는 WCDMA용 전력 증폭기에 적용한 결과 효율성을 위한 측정 실험에 있어서 을 한 결과 PAE 보다 6%의 효율 향상을 얻을 수가 있었음을 보여주었다.

Vascular Dementia에 관(關)한 한의학적(韓醫學的) 임상연구(臨床硏究) (A clinical study of the effects of Oriental medical treatment on Vascular Dementia)

  • In order to confirm the efficiency of Oriental medical treatment on Vascular dementia, 24 probable and possible vascular dementia patients diagnosed by ADDTC criteria, were chosen and followed among the patients who had visited KOMC from April, 1996 to March, 1997. They were given herbal and acupuncture therapy, mainly focused on circulating qi(順氣)and removing phlegm(治痰) which is generally applied in early stage of cerebro-vascular disease, and then assessed by the improvement of stage according to the level of impairment, as proposed by APA. The results were as followed. 1. Out of 25 cases, 8 patients showed 2 grade improvement(++), 15 patients showed 1 grade improvement(+), and 1 patient showed no change. 2. The efficiency of treatment is higher when they're given treatment earlier. 3. The efficiency of treatment is higher when their symptoms are lighter. In conclusion, this study shows meaningful effect of Oriental medical treatment on vascular dementia and also shows that It's more effective in the case of short onset and mild symptom.

  • Main PDP panel efficacy improvement factors are discussed. A large panel efficacy improvement can be obtained through a combination of discharge efficiency improvement and phosphor improvement. Important design elements are a high Xe-content gas mixture, the application of a $TiO_2-layer$, and a new green phosphor with little saturation at high VUV-load. In a 4-inch color test panel with a conventional stripe-type cell configuration a white efficacy of 4.4 lm/W and a luminance of 5000 $cd/m^2$ is obtained for sustaining at 250V in addressed condition.

  • This paper is developed to demand management scenario of energy consumption efficiency improvement, electricity generation efficiency improvement, network efficiency improvement, change of distribution ratio, movement of energy source, change of heating system, put of CHP to quantitatively assess to impact on energy use of demand management at the national level. This scenario can be applied Energy System Management model was developed based on Energy Balance Flow. In addition, effect analysis through built demand management scenario was quantitatively evaluated integrated demand management effectiveness of energy cost saving, CO2 emission reduction and energy savings of national level by calculating to primary energy source usage change in terms of integration demand management effect more often than not a single energy source separated electricity, heat and gas.

  • In Color AC Plasma Display Panel(PDP). Low luminous efficiency is a major problem. We measured luminous efficiency of PDP as a function of the Ar mixing ratio. Our results show that efficiency has improved by $5{\sim}10%$ at the condition of 0.5% Ar mixing ratio, compared with Ne-Xe(4%) or He-Ne-Xe(4%) (He:Ne = 7:3) gas.

  • 본 논문은 정격속도 이상의 고속 영역에서 운전되는 스위치드 릴럭턴스 발전기의 효율 개선에 대하여 기술한다. 전류 형상은 발전기 손실에 큰 영향을 미치기 때문에 전류 모양을 조정함으로서 시스템 효율이 개선될 수 있다. 풍력 또는 소수력 발전과 같이 속도 범위가 넓은 경우 정격속도 이상에서도 최적의 전류 형상을 얻을 수 있도록 스위칭각 조정 방법이 제시된다. 제시된 방법을 검증하기 위해 실험장치가 구성되고, 이론의 가능성이 시뮬레이션과 실험결과에 의해 검증된다.
