This paper contains the development of a smart power device designed to collect load power data from industrial manufacturing machines, predict future variations in load power data, and detect abnormal data in advance by applying a machine learning-based prediction algorithm. The proposed load power data prediction model is implemented using a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm with high accuracy and relatively low complexity. The Flask and REST API are used to provide prediction results to users in a graphical interface. In addition, we present the results of experiments conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach, which show that our model exhibited the highest accuracy compared with Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), Random Forest (RF), and Support Vector Machine (SVM) models. Moreover, we expect our method's accuracy could be improved by further optimizing the hyperparameter values and training the model for a longer period of time using a larger amount of data.

In this paper, we propose the classifier structure design algorithm using DTW. Proposed algorithm uses DTW result to design the binary tree architecture based on the SVM which classify the multi-class data. Design the binary tree architecture for Support Vector Machine(SVM-BTA) using the threshold criterion calculated by the sum columns in square matrix which components are the reference data from each class. For comparison the performance of the proposed algorithm, compare the results of classifiers which binary tree structure are designed based on database and k-means algorithm. The data used for classification is 333 signals from 18 classes of underwater transient noise. The proposed classifier has been improved classification performance compared with classifier designed by database system, and probability of detection for non-biological transient signal has improved compare with classifiers using k-means algorithm. The proposed SVM-BTA classified 68.77% of biological sound(BO), 92.86% chain(CHAN) the mechanical sound, and 100% of the 6 kinds of the other classes.

In this paper, we propose an improved face detection algorithm and determination method for drowsiness status of driver from the opening and closing frequency of the detected eye. For this purpose, face, eyes, nose, and mouth are detected based on conventional Viola-Jones face detection algorithm and spatial correlation of face. Here the spatial correlation of face is performed by DFP(Detect Face Part) based on seven characteristics. The experimental results on Caltect face image database revealed that the detection rates of noise particularly showed the improved performance of 13.78% in comparison to that of the previous Viola-Jones algorithm. Furthermore, we analyze the driver's drowsiness determination cumulative value of the eye closed state as a function of time based on SVM (Support Vector Machine) and PERCLOS(Percentage Closure of Eyes). The experimental results confirmed the usefulness of the proposed method by obtaining a driver's drowsiness determination rate of 93.28%.

Online signature verification is one of the simple and efficient method of identity verification and has less resistance than other biometric technologies. In training to build a verification model, negative samples are required to build the model, but in most practical applications it is not easy to get negative samples - forgery signatures. In this paper, proposed is a method using someone else's signatures as negative samples. In verification, shape-based features extracted from the time-sequenced signature data are extracted and a support vector machine is used to verify. SVM tries to map a feature vector to a high dimensional space and to draw a linear boundary in the high dimensional space. SVM is one of the best classifiers and has been applied to various applications. Using general handwriting data, i.e., someone else's signatures which have little in common with positive samples improved the verification rate experimentally, which means that signature verification without negative samples is possible.
This paper investigates the potential of a hybrid model which combines the least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) and an improved particle swarm optimization (IMPSO) techniques for prediction of concrete compressive strength. A modified PSO algorithm is employed in determining the optimal values of LSSVM parameters to improve the forecasting accuracy. Experimental data on concrete compressive strength in the literature were used to validate and evaluate the performance of the proposed IMPSO-LSSVM model. Further, predictions from five models (the IMPSO-LSSVM, PSO-LSSVM, genetic algorithm (GA) based LSSVM, back propagation (BP) neural network, and a statistical model) were compared with the experimental data. The results show that the proposed IMPSO-LSSVM model is a feasible and efficient tool for predicting the concrete compressive strength with high accuracy.
The choice of the motion features influences the result of the human action recognition method directly. Many factors often influence the single feature differently, such as appearance of the human body, environment and video camera. So the accuracy of action recognition is restricted. On the bases of studying the representation and recognition of human actions, and giving fully consideration to the advantages and disadvantages of different features, the Dense Trajectories(DT) algorithm is a very classic algorithm in the field of behavior recognition feature extraction, but there are some defects in the use of optical flow images. In this paper, we will use the improved Dense Trajectories(iDT) algorithm to optimize and extract the optical flow features in the movement of human action, then we will combined with Support Vector Machine methods to identify human behavior, and use the image in the KTH database for training and testing.
The development of autonomous driving and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology has grown rapidly in recent years. As most traffic accidents occur due to human error, self-driving vehicles can drastically reduce the number of accidents and crashes that occur on the roads today. Obviously, technical advancements in autonomous driving can lead to improved public driving safety. However, due to the current limitations in technology and lack of public trust in self-driving cars (and drones), the actual use of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) is still significantly low. According to prior studies, people's acceptance of an AV is mainly determined by trust. It is proven that people still feel much more comfortable in personalized ADAS, designed with the way people drive. Based on such needs, a new attempt for a customized ADAS considering each driver's driving style is proposed in this paper. Each driver's behavior is divided into two categories: assertive and defensive. In this paper, a novel customized ADAS algorithm with high classification accuracy is designed, which divides each driver based on their driving style. Each driver's driving data is collected and simulated using CARLA, which is an open-source autonomous driving simulator. In addition, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) machine learning algorithms are used to optimize the ADAS parameters. The proposed scheme results in a high classification accuracy of time series driving data. Furthermore, among the vast amount of CARLA-based feature data extracted from the drivers, distinguishable driving features are collected selectively using Support Vector Machine (SVM) technology by comparing the amount of influence on the classification of the two categories. Therefore, by extracting distinguishable features and eliminating outliers using SVM, the classification accuracy is significantly improved. Based on this classification, the ADAS sensors can be made more sensitive for the case of assertive drivers, enabling more advanced driving safety support. The proposed technology of this paper is especially important because currently, the state-of-the-art level of autonomous driving is at level 3 (based on the SAE International driving automation standards), which requires advanced functions that can assist drivers using ADAS technology.

This study explores development of prediction model for seismic site classification through the integration of machine learning techniques with horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (HVSR) methodologies. To improve model accuracy, the research employs outlier detection methods and, synthetic minority over-sampling technique (SMOTE) for data balance, and evaluates using seven machine learning models using seismic data from KiK-net. Notably, light gradient boosting method (LGBM), gradient boosting, and decision tree models exhibit improved performance when coupled with SMOTE, while Multiple linear regression (MLR) and Support vector machine (SVM) models show reduced efficacy. Outlier detection techniques significantly enhance accuracy, particularly for LGBM, gradient boosting, and voting boosting. The ensemble of LGBM with the isolation forest and SMOTE achieves the highest accuracy of 0.91, with LGBM and local outlier factor yielding the highest F1-score of 0.79. Consistently outperforming other models, LGBM proves most efficient for seismic site classification when supported by appropriate preprocessing procedures. These findings show the significance of outlier detection and data balancing for precise seismic soil classification prediction, offering insights and highlighting the potential of machine learning in optimizing site classification accuracy.

In recent years, imbalanced data is one of the most important and frequent issue for quality control in industrial field. As an example, defect rate has been drastically reduced thanks to highly developed technology and quality management, so that only few defective data can be obtained from production process. Therefore, quality classification should be performed under the condition that one class (defective dataset) is even smaller than the other class (good dataset). However, traditional multi-class classification methods are not appropriate to deal with such an imbalanced dataset, since they classify data from the difference between one class and the others that can hardly be found in imbalanced datasets. Thus, one-class classification that thoroughly learns patterns of target class is more suitable for imbalanced dataset since it only focuses on data in a target class. So far, several one-class classification methods such as one-class support vector machine, neural network and decision tree there have been suggested. One-class support vector machine and neural network can guarantee good classification rate, and decision tree can provide a set of rules that can be clearly interpreted. However, the classifiers obtained from the former two methods consist of complex mathematical functions and cannot be easily understood by users. In case of decision tree, the criterion for rule generation is ambiguous. Therefore, as an alternative, a new one-class classifier using hyper-rectangles was proposed, which performs precise classification compared to other methods and generates rules clearly understood by users as well. In this paper, we suggest an approach for improving the limitations of those previous one-class classification algorithms. Specifically, the suggested approach produces more improved one-class classifier using hyper-rectangles generated by using Gaussian function. The performance of the suggested algorithm is verified by a numerical experiment, which uses several datasets in UCI machine learning repository.

In this study we performed the experiment to detect the ERP using SVM with wavelet features. The EEG signal that is generated visual stimulated ERP database in SCCN applied for the experiment. The feature vectors for experiment are categorized frequency and continuous wavelet- based vectors. In experimental results, the detection rate of SVM with wavelet feature vectors improved above 10% comparing with frequency- based feature vector. Based on the experimental results we analyzed the relation between the activity degree of the ERP and the band split characteristics of the ERP by wavelet transform.
