The universities introduce and manage education program to improve the problem-solving ability directly associated with respective professional fields as breaking from lecture-concentrated management for the acquisition of knowledge. In this paper, we design and implement a system which standardizes forms of productions induced from capstone design and manages programs integrally according to the predefined schedules. The proposed system intends the successful management of capstone design which is most representative education program for improving practical business ability. Additionally, the system gives practical assistance for applying employment and entering higher educational institution through automatic producing portfolio which comprises total processes for capstone design.

In this paper, we analyze the practical problems of the regenerative start method proposed to improve the starting characteristics of the TBM(Tunnel boring machine)system and propose a solution. In order to solve the speed ripple problem in the previous research results, we first analyze the problems occurring in the system and propose a method to compensate for them. By applying the improved method to the actual system, we compared the results with the conventional system and verified the effect of the proposed method.

In this paper, the practical applications of the pseudolite are explained with the basic concept of the pseudolite. Many researches have been developed to improve the performance of the GPS. Most of those researches need the extra equipments. But without the extra equipments, the performance of GPS can be improved only with the change in the software in GPS system. In this paper, the pseudolite and the integrated navigation system including GPS as well as pseudolite only with navigation system for the demand of more precise navigation system are introduced. Also, the advantage of the pseudolite is confirmed by some simulations.

It is necessary to make efforts to resolve complaints such as the mismatch of the labor market and the re-education costs for the new employees by acting as the higher vocational education center of the university. This course introduces the case of developing a practical curriculum based on the competency units presented in the curriculum of the application system that meets the demands of the human resources development and the industrial field demands of the machinery area corresponding to the demand of the industrial society. By analyzing the job duties of industry, it is necessary to develop the new curriculum after grasping the level of demand according to the area, and the importance of the ability to equip as a professional technical manpower and to create high performance is increased. It will help to improve the employment rate of students through the development of field-oriented curriculum.

The practical apprenticeship training is important and takes part in one fourth of the curriculum in university(college) nursing education. The quality and quantity of practical training influence the quality of nursing student ability. This study have planed to find out actual condition of practical apprenticeship training for university(college) nursing education and develop the reform measure in Korea. The questionnaires were sent for directors of nursing department in university(college) and the directors of nursing in hospitals which were chosen by systemic sampling and have over 500 beds. The response rate was 48.4% in total. The results were as follow : 1. There were 2 kinds of training system ;subject training and comprehensive training. The comprehensive training was done frequently in college education. There were gaps of subject between the lecture and the practical training education for professor, part time lecturler and assitant. 2. There was the shortage of training fields especially in college education. 3. The training content by university(college) personnel were care conference, orientation, ward rounding. The content by hospital nursing pernnels were bedside nursing skills and nursing process application. The headnurse acted the important role in training education. For improving the actual condition of training apprenticeship in university(college) nursing education, it is necessary that the Ministry of Education should make the accreditation system on the preparation of training hospitals for university(college) nursing education. The Academy Society for Nursing Education can do the central and coordination role to improve the training apprenticeship for nursing education in Korea.

It was enacted 'Emergency Medical Act' in January, 1994 beginning the emergency medical service system from 1982, and while it was established the emergency medical department in junior college providing the detailed agenda about emergency medical technician and the regulation relative to the application of a law on the emergency medical act in 1995, the fire school and the National Medical Center are enforced the curriculum. It is very important subject faced for the construction of emergency medical system to produce a number of emergency medical technicians to be sufficient to the role of emergency aid. In this study it is analysed the training curriculum for the emergency medical technician and presented the improvement plans. 1. Though it needs the qualification level of first and second class in the selection process, the more important thing needs the detailed qualification level by term of one's service and the skills of business accomplishment. 2. In the examination management, (1) written examination is composed of the questions to understand how much faithfully they carry out the practical business as the emergency medical technicians, (2) it is added practical examination as the item to appraise the situation disposal ability. 3. It is necessary to prescribe the activity in the medical institution and ambulance arrangement through the development of 'Business Treatment Guide'. 4. For the regional balanced disposition of emergency medical personnel it is selected balanceably the educational institution by eight medical service areas, and considering the characteristics of region it is necessary to manage, in the practical business training course, another special course such as the mountains medical aid and sea medical aid. 5. In the period of education the first class needs the practical business training period of a certain period after passing examination, and the second class needs the extension of the period. 6. As the problems to improve in the curriculum [1] in the first class course (1) intensification of practical educaiton (2) reinforcement of curriculum (3) the development of standardized curriculum etc., [2] in the second class course (1) varieties of curriculum (2) intensification of basic first aid treatment education.

Capstone design course has been opened in order to improve students' practical project in undergraduate courses. This paper presents the efficient operation method for capstone design course. The proposed capstone design is operated such as outside outsourcing institute of industry, that is, the industry suggests the topics and fourth grade students work on this project during this year, and third grade students take over same project and proceed to improve in next year, so it is the continuous operating. Based on this system, industry can get the desired project outputs, and the university can give practical team project experience for students, so a mutual benefit between the industry and university can be possible. The proposed operating system is actually applied to the department of computer engineering, the questionnaire surveys are performed to participated students and corporate mentors, and then the operating results of the proposed system are analyzed.

The micro-gripper system is one of the systems that should be improved in the respect of performance for practical usage. In the previous works, the important issues are considered and presented using axiomatic design approach. In this paper, the functional requirements and design parameters are evaluated in order to improve the performance and efficiency of the system. The evaluation is a very difficult task since many variables are related to the outcomes. To provide a basis for correct design decisions, axiomatic design principles have been advanced. Since the framework of axiomatic design makes design issues easier to understand when they are analyzed, we used those as an evaluation tool. The object of the system is to handle micro-size parts. Main device is a micro-gripper using two bender-typed and one stack-typed PZTs as actuators. And it has three tips made of tungsten wires fur holding function. Also the system must satisfy other functional requirements for appropriate handling performance. The results of this study show design improvements of micro-gripper system such as structural change of gripper, additional element, and integration of physical parts. Axiomatic design guides presented suitable design parameters corresponding to functional requirements and made the design elements improve through diagrams of whole system.

Geotechnical Information Database Project was began by Ministry of Construction Transport at the 1999, because many people need a sharing and reusing the geotechnical report in construction process. In the beginning, target was report of national highway construction. the whole of country has been target on since the 2005. Today, the 60,581 number of geotechnical data(counted by boring number) is maintained. In this study, Geotechnical Information Distribute System(GIDS) was developed, in order to improve practical use and to be connected to National Geographic Information Center(NGIC). and program to be applicable to construction was suggested. We expect that GIDS make a effect to improve geotechnical data application and to be use in all part of construction process.

This study is concerned with the efficient improvement in the shipboard training of trainees for the marine officers in the future. The shopboard training course is given much weight in the curriculum of the seamanship education for the characteristics of that. In spite of various earlier studies to improve shipboard training system, we don't have desirable one until now on this problem based upon practical and empirical analysis. It seems a matter of urgency should be settled to improve the training environment-training facilities and equipment including simulator education - for the efficient pratice off-shore during training vessels in port. And it is also desired to regulate downward the credit system needed to graduate that trainees should be immersed in their practice without regard to their school records if passed the course during the training period.
