Implementation Strategies of Hair Salons for Mass Customization (미용실의 매스커스터마이제이션 실행 전략)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify hair salon's implementation strategies and current service condition for mass customization. The questionnaire was composed of 82 questions. 115 hair salon's directors were subjects of this study. The results were as follows: Hair salon's mass customization strategies were categorized into 6 factors such as staff's technique, communication service, electronic products, monetary support, man-to-man service, and dissatisfaction removal service. Hair salons were categorized into 2 groups of a high implementation group and a low implementation group. A high implementation group had a higher monthly sales and more regular customers and staff. The hair salons were franchises and were more spacious in the high group. They were located at fashion street, department store, or outlet mall, and offered fashionable hair styles. However, a low implementation group had a lower monthly sales and less regular customers and staffs. The size of hair salon was small in the low group. They were located in residential areas and offered basic hair styles.

  • The research presents the implementation and improvement strategies of scientific methodologies and techniques in the audit criteria of KS certification. The paper discusses the establishment of management strategy and quality policy by the alignment of BSC or policy deployment, the effective handling methodologies of control plan based on SPC, and the traceability of calibration uncertainty and MSA, etc.

A Research on PBL Implementation Strategy of Faculty Members Selected as a PBL Best Practicer (PBL 우수 사례자로 선정된 교수들의 수업운영 전략 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine about PBL implementation strategies employed by faculty members who have successfully managed PBL class. By adopting the inductive content analysis, this study has analyzed the contents related with the strategies about PBL implementation in the course result reports and best practice presentation materials made by 6 professors selected as a PBL best practicer of B university from the 2017 to the 2018. After the analysis, it is revealed that PBL best practicers have used 13 strategies in domain of classroom culture, learning facilitation, and assessment. The following further studies and supports have been suggest: First, a study on PBL best practice faculty member's implementation strategies should be further expanded. Second, a comparative study on the PBL implementation strategies between PBL best practice faculty members and general faculty members should be launched. Third, an organizational system to share PBL best practice faculty member's implementation strategies should be supported.

  • The purpose of the research is to investigate the impact of the implementation and recognition for KM strategies on KM performances in public enterprises. The research identified critical factors of KM strategies and performances through literature review, measured the degrees of implementation and significance recognition for the strategies targeting public enterprises, and analyzed the KM performance levels based on the combined degrees of the implementation and the recognition for KM strategies. The findings illustrate that not only the KM strategies implementation, but also the significance recognition can affect the KM performances. The researchers urge that organizations, in advance, should request their employees' understanding and significance recognition for KM strategies to successfully implement their knowledge management.

Self-Directed Learning Strategies of High Academic Achievers Majoring in Engineering (공학전공 우수학습자의 자기주도학습전략 탐색)

  • This study aims to explore self-directed learning strategies of high academic achievers majoring in engineering. The research participants were 21 fourth-year students who had attained the first or second highest cumulative grade point average in each department during the past three-year and were asked to write an essay on "my successful learning methods or techniques." The essays were analyzed by theme analysis method which is one of the qualitative methods to extract the self-directed learning strategies used by high performing students. According to the results of this study, the self-directed learning strategies of excellent students could be categorized into fundamental strategies to induce self-directed learning, preparatory strategies, implementation strategies and management strategies for marinating self-directed learning. Detail information on each category is as follow: 1) fundamental strategies refer to positive and pleasant mind, academic confidence and effort attribution, 2) preparatory strategies refer to concrete and challenging goal setting, establishment of learning strategies adjusted courses characteristics and practical learning planning, 3) implementation strategies refer to intensive learning in class, knowledge exploration, knowledge acquisition, social networking and exhaustive preparation for exams and 4) management strategies refer to time management and learning environment management.

  • To enhance the safety of nuclear power plants, implementation of accident management has been suggested as one of most important programs. Specially, accident management strategies are suggested as one of key elements considered in development of the accident management program. In this study, generally applicable accident management strategies to domestic nuclear power plants are identified through reviewing several accident management programs for the other countries and considering domestic conditions. Identified strategies are as follows; 1) Injection into the Reactor Coolant System, 2) Depressurize the Reactor Coolant System, 3) Depressurize the Steam Generator, 4) Injection into the Steam Generator, 5) Injection into the Containment, 6) Spray into the Containment, 7) Control Hydrogen in the Containment. In addition, the systems and instrumentation necessary for the implementation of .each strategy are also investigated.

  • Within the article, strategic guidelines for the modernization of microeconomic systems are identified. Modernization levels of the potential implementation are formalized for enterprises: contractile, extensive technical, technological, progressive, adaptive, steady, intensive, creative, absolute and leader modernization. This allowed to specify the directions and tasks of the enterprise modernization at different management levels. Accordingly, the conditions and criteria for selecting resource tools are set. It is proved that the strategies of the potential modernization of enterprises must be carried out at four main management levels: first, at the enterprise level; secondly, for a particular type of product / service; third, by functional directions of modernization of separate spheres of the enterprise activity or responsibility, fourth, at the level of structural units of the enterprise. It is substantiated that in the processes due to the activation of the potential modernization, the resources are transformed into the results of the innovation implementation and the investment strategies modernization. A system of tasks for the corporate strategies implementation in order to modernize microeconomic systems has been formed. Key vectors of the activation determine the nature and properties of investment resources and necessary innovations to enhance the modernization potential. Therefore, the system of innovation and investment strategies' modernization, based on the vector and resource provision of the modernization process, is specified:

CALS Implementation Policy for Information-based Management of Small and Medium Companies (중소기업의 정보화를 위한 CALS 도입 정책 방안)

  • This study aims to suggest CALS implementation strategies and policies for information-based management of small and medium companies in Korea. At the turning point from traditional document-based management to recent digital-based one, it is well known that implementation of CALS concept is crucial for advancing business management of small and medium enterprises In order to attack the aim, this paper critically analyzes the empirical difficulties and obstacles of the current information-based management of small and medium companies in Korea. On the basis of the above analysis, this paper suggests the strategic plans and policies of CALS implementation for small and medium enterprises in Korea as follows. First, government should provide the supporting policies and proper system so that the large enterprise can be linked with small and medium companies for sharing necessary information. Second, similar enterprises should be integrated on the basis of information and automation evaluation. Third, implementation strategies and plans should be advanced on the basis of the informationalized phases with respect to the technology level of small and medium enterprises. For more efficient CALS implementation, this paper also proposes the following subsidiary policies. First, it is substantially important to publicize the nation-wide spreading of CALS mind. Second, it is strongly recommended to educate and train CALS specialist on a consistant basis. Third, government should support the enterprises by providing sufficient fund for CALS implementation. Fourth, the ideal CALS implementation models for small and medium enterprises should be developed. Fifth, the consulting and training program for CALS implementation should be established through ECRC (Electronic Commerce Resource Center).   • This paper presents incentive application strategies and delay prevention strategies as schematic approaches to improve time performance of highway construction contracts. This research recognizes the importance of improving time performance during highway construction. Strategic solutions of the most core issues on time performance incentive contracting are identified. The suggested incentive application strategies develop criteria for applying time classification to projects, for assigning project time classifications to contractors and designers, and for determining appropriate incentive values in A (cost) + B (time cost) and other performance incentive contracts. The suggested delay prevention strategies develop criteria for determining the appropriate subsurface utility engineering (SUE) level and to develop best practices for avoiding utility relocation delays. A schematic approach for each strategy is developed. This paper also introduces current incentive contracting practices in Florida. The researchers obtained the information from experienced persons in the highway construction industry, including key highway contractors, designers, and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) personnel. The major focus of this research is to develop strategies and suggest approaches to improve time performance of highway construction contracts. For future study, practical tools to facilitate implementation of the suggested strategies should be developed, so that the criteria, implementation processes, and best practices developed may contribute to the current industry-wide effort to improve time performance.
